The 8 Best Business-Class Seats in the World—and How to Book Them With Points and Miles

"All of American’s widebody jets feature seats in a popular reverse-herringbone 1-2-1 layout. Each seat is 26-27 inches wide with the armrest down, and reclines to form a flat bed that reaches between 78-79 inches."

A Look Inside JFK’s Shiny New Terminal 8

"American’s former Flagship lounge in JFK Terminal 8 has been rebranded as the Greenwich lounge. It's open to American's business class fliers and AAdvantage Platinum members on Flagship itineraries, as well as British Airways passengers who have access to the Club lounge. Inside, travelers will find amenities like a premium wine selection, a terrace bar, plenty of seating, and airside views."

The concept lounges are thoughtfully designed with a more open and spacious layout—at least during my visit (early in the day), it felt noticeably less cramped than other airport lounges. The food quality stood out as well, with offerings that felt freshly prepared, much like what you'd find in AA Flagship lounges. Staff were attentive, staying on top of refills and keeping the space clean without being intrusive. Large plain-glass panels offered great, unobstructed views—an excellent design choice that avoids the visual clutter some lounges introduce with overly artistic elements. The showers were a welcome feature after a long flight and were well maintained. The only improvement I'd suggest is adding an exhaust fan to help with ventilation. I also appreciated the use of non-plastic containers throughout the space; I’m not sure if it’s due to local policy or a lounge-specific initiative, but it’s a nice touch. Overall, the experience was clean, comfortable, and efficient—well-suited for a mid-travel reset.

This lounge is ok, I was torn between 3 and 4 star because the food choices are not particularly wide. Nevertheless, the staff are good and the seating is very good, enabling quiet working or group gathering - whatever you are looking for. Wine is on tap as is coffee. I visited the lounge on a Saturday afternoon and it was about 70% full.

The Greenwich Lounge offers a solid dining experience with decent food and drink options that won't disappoint. The venue's greatest strength is its versatility, providing multiple seating areas that cater to different needs. For those looking to get work done, there are plenty of comfortable spaces with good lighting and a relaxed atmosphere that's conducive to productivity. The lounge strikes a nice balance between social buzz and quieter corners where you can focus. Families will appreciate the welcoming environment and suitable menu options. The staff is accommodating to children, and the layout provides enough space so that families don't feel cramped or worried about disturbing other patrons.

A well-planned airport lounge for Oneworld Sapphire & Emerald travelers on AA & BA international flights. Plenty of seating and accommodations even when the lounge is 'full'. Staff are excellent at this location! Pro tip when using this lounge - the QR codes at the tables will take you to a menu of free cooked-to-order meals. When you submit the order, you food will be brought to your table (it was about a 10m service time for me)

American and British Airway in JFK New York, Terminal 8, near Gate A12. There are additional amenities such as shower, quiet rooms for resting, beside foods, and drinks. It is crowded during peak travel time. However, it has plenty of seating arrangements with couches, tables, computer stations. There is a main station with hot dishes, salads, snacks; adjacent is a soup station. A self-serve open bar with wine, champagne. A hard-liquor station is near the main food station.

Not many options as far as lounges go in Terminal 8. The Greenwich is a decent lounge with plenty of seating. It's pretty large and does not feel overcrowded. The food options can be a little better. Not much variety to choose from. I do like that it's very close to the gates, so no need to leave early to get to your gate for boarding.

Very average lounge. Found it difficult to find seating. Unfortunately, staff were not too bothered to help with simple support, e.g. please can you clean this table so we can sit down. Food choice was okay, limited, but was good taste. Would not go out of my way to go to this lounge, however if I had access with a flight/membership, then yes, of course. Great views! If you are able to get seats at this location in the lounge.

A comfortable, quiet lounge with quite a lot of space. I think the food could be a bit better, nothing really had flavor including the fruits. There is a Coca Cola Freestyle machine with quite a lot of options and a great selection of alcohol. There’s also a bagel section. There’s a few staff members that regularly come around to clean the tables and take care of the food and drink sections.

Yelp
First time at this lounge and was pretty impressed with its space, food, and drink options! Love that they open late until like 1am and have a wide range of food types, ranging from salad, dips, mains, and proteins. Allergens are written out and utensils are clean. Seems like wine was self serve. Only wish they had more tea options. Lots of space available, ranging from high tops, tables, and booths. Wifi was pretty strong!

Yelp
This is the new joint British Airways / American Airlines Business Lounge located in JFK Terminal 8. The lounge offers excellent seating combined with a wide choice of very well prepared buffet style foods and drinks. The lounge is located close to the entrance to the terminal once you have gone through check in and security. It also within easy walking distance all of the departure gates.

Yelp
For those traveling business or first on a transcontinental flight, this is the best you can access in JFK Terminal 8. This spacious lounge offers excellent food, plenty of space, and tons of self serve alcohol, liquors, and other drinks. Breakfast is not as interesting as lunch/dinner options. At 10:30am, the Tasting Room opens with more premium foods. Definitely come here if you have the chance!

Yelp
I went to this airport lounge after checking in at JFK. It was a complimentary admission for flying Japan Airline premium economy. It is located on the second floor after passing thru security. The lounge is a place to eat and relax while waiting for your flight; comfortable seating with a variety of hot food and drinks. They even served beer and alcohol. Food options included soups, various healthy salads, couple of meat dishes, and cookies/ brownies for dessert. The lounge was very well maintained with a large staff to serve and clean. Over all you can't really complain for something that is complimentary but I wish they serve some fruits. It was an enjoyable experience but there was no fruit in sight hence the four stars.
