This place can get packed out on popular days partly because it has one of the few parking areas in town adjacent and partly because of generous outdoor seating in a gorgeous setting ( with some cover ). Indoors is small but has wonderfully comfy couches by an indoor fire. On non-holiday week days expect a tiny selection of hot and cold foods and drinks.

This is a great little café located centrally within the historic township of Walhalla. Its a great place to stop for a breather as you walk through the old town and take in the sites. Food and drinks are very good, service is exceptional - exactly what you visit these old towns for :) Once you get your ice cream, wander over to the Rotunda and take in the views up and down the main street as you enjoy the nature and serenity.

Great stop for a quick snack. If you want a meal suggest going to a pub. Shop shuts at around 2:30pm on a Sunday. Don t expect gourmet food if you are hungry. Great job guys.

We were visiting Walhalla on Sunday the 30th of October 2016. After visiting all historical places my partner and I went for a cup of coffee to Grey Horse Cafe. We have order a slice of cheese cake and coffee. Cheese cake was frozen, which was very refreshing on a hot day. To my disappointment, as i realised later on, it was not fresh. Luckily after 5 minutes of eating that cake i felt very sick. The Owner of the Cafe instead of at least asking if I am ok and maybe need anything, simply to be tpolite, was very rude and ubrupt. No curtacy, no comparison. Very disappointed. Will never come back to this Grey Horse Cafe and will not recommend to my friends to go there.

Great coffee, delicious fresh food (we got fish and chips - that tartar was standout), reasonably priced and ambient.

From outside it looked like a nice place to eat. The food could have been better considering how many people visit. Very plain food.

Love this place. Incredibly relaxing to just sit on the deck on a beautiful Autumn day sipping a Latte.

Perfect place to stop for a coffee and a bite to each especially on a day when the jazz band is playing in the gazebo.
