Excellent one-night stay. After a long drive we found a friendly welcome, an attractive room, high quality food with excellent choice and efficient service. Busy bar and restaurant but not overly noisy, dog friendly, good atmosphere. Good off-road parking. Definitely a place to book again.

We came for a birthday meal and all 4 of us are vegan, normally a country pub would struggle but honestly the food was incredible! So full of flavour and presented beautifully, it’s well worth a try. The staff are also very friendly and attentive, they did have a mishap not having enough of the vegan main in but they were able to offer an additional dish which was equally good, out of nowhere. Very apologetic but they pulled it out of the bag. It actually represents good value too for what is a very premium meal in a lovely setting.

Stayed for two nights whilst attending the Williams HQ in Grove, Wantage to watch F1 Silverstone ||Stayed in the Lambourn as only available room available when booked. Believe gets busy with guests for weddings at nearby venues. Lovely room with great shower. Nove super king bed. No air con but fans left in room. Loved the tea tray with the homemade shortbread and flask of fresh milk. The only downside we found was on the first night guests from a wedding came back late that were staying in the room above and were really noisy till early hours of morning. No issues on the Sunday night.||The food at the Greyhound was fabulous, we ate both nights from the a la carte menu and the included breakfast was one of the best we have ever had! The ingredients all local were so fresh! ||Carpark is small but had no issues parking our car. Taxis to Wantage must be booked well in advance which we did. ||Not the cheapest weekend but we had a great time and would very much recommend a stay here

Came here for Sunday Lunch. Service was friendly and efficient. The roasts were excellent - the meat was perfectly cooked with a generous serving, while the trimmings were also great. The only letdown was the gravy, which was too thin and lacking in taste. Delicious sticky toffee pudding, light and very tasty!

Our trip to The Greyhound in order to attend a family wedding locally was a delight. The service was exemplary and all of the staff we encountered were professional, friendly and knowledgable. Our meals were delicious and breakfast a superb treat. We would recommend both bar and restaurant to anyone visiting the area. Our rooms were charming, spacious, clean and comfortable. A perfect visit.

Our room was warm and clean. Homemade biscuit were delicious. Breakfast was delicious too. We would have liked to have dinner in the restaurant but we were at a family party.

Excellent experience all round. We stayed here for the air tattoo as it was a short drive and staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Special shoutout to Alison, the bartender on Saturday nights & the lady running breakfast. Sorry we didn’t get your names! The rooms were clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed staying here. We were leaving before breakfast started most days, so they made sure the chef had some pastries ready for us in the morning. When we did manage to have their breakfast, it was fresh, tasty and filling. Cannot recommend this place enough and we will be back!
