Awesome sandwiches and epic fries! Large portions, so come hungry! We got a small order of fries and were able to share them between the two of us!! They also have a selection of glass bottle sodas which is really cool. We stayed for a bit after our meal to play some of the classic video games they had.

The service was great, very friendly. The food however was a joke. The fries were greasy and over salted. The steak was the size of a slider, and that's supposed to be a signature sandwich? If I wanted an appetizer, i wouldn't pay $8 for it. The tomatoes on hoagies should be sliced, not diced like for a taco. There was like a 1/2 oz. of actual beef in it! Not the cook's fault though, that's prob the standardized menu that he's trained to serve. Even the worst steak places in Philly would put this sandwich to shame. I guess it's a drunk college destination for Carson St, because you'd have to be smashed to part with you $ for that morsel without being angry when you got your plate.

Awesome fries, cool decor, and BEST. RANCH. EVER!! The manager Katie was super nice and accommodating, it was so refreshing. I have to admit I wasn't all that impressed with the chicken, but that's probably my fault for getting chicken at a cheesesteak joint so I'll definitely be back going back to try the other sandwiches.

Back when this place was Southside Steaks they were a 2 or 3 star establishment. Expensive for a small sandwich with little food on it, mostly dense bread. As Groove Cheesesyeak Co., they've improved a bit. Slightly bigger and softer bread, not as dense. The food on the sandwich is still smaller in quantity but bigger than it used to be. I've not had any sides or appetizers. For 3 sandwiches and 3 small fountain drinks I spend almost $50. Be careful going here, try it once just to say you did.

I've given this place a few tries, and this time was my last. The sandwiches are just fine, but the bread seems to be a little tough on the ends sometimes. But today, myself, and 2 co-workers went for lunch, we arrived at around 11:20am, 20 minutes after opening. We were the first customers, I know this because our slip numbers were 01, 02. We got our food, and went to our office. Each of our orders of fries, and large purple spots all over them. Now, these are just straight cut fries, so they should look pretty standard. But none of us ate these fries, they were definitely old gnarly potatoes. I had not of paid $11 for a sandwich and fries, I wouldn't write this, but it is definitely over priced, and it seems they have no issue using old food.

Decent food and a bit pricey for sandwiches, however they were quite large. Paid $23 and change for two sandwiches, one with fries and a small drink. The Philly was disappointing because I didn't realize I'd be getting cheez whiz. Everywhere I've gotten them before, they come with provolone, and I didn't realize cheez whiz was even a thing... Oh well. Peppers cost an extra 45c or something, which also seemed strange to me. The Boston was good, though - horse radish sauce, onions, mozzarella cheese.. And the fries were super tasty. Decor was amusing- lots of technological relics, almost like a tech museum.

This place is awesome. I can see why it won best cheesesteak in pa. My wife and I visit here last week. They had a lunch special for $10.50 which included sandwich fries and drink. We both got that and it came to $23 after tax. The sandwich was delicious and plenty big. Every order is cooked fresh including fries so you will never have old soggy food. The steak sandwich is amazing. Greattaste and just enough onions peppers and cheese. The fries are good and a fountain drink is what it is. On top of that they offer different sandwiches including a Pittsburgh cheesesteak and wings. To go along with the food they have a stand with hot peppers and giardinara. They also sell exotic sodas from around the world and have a sega genesis and nintendo you can play while waiting. Give this place a shot. You will not be disappointed.

Huge portions and quality food. You probably could get the same hoagie down the street but a good price and them fresh cut fries are the deal breaker. Along with the urban look and Nintendo and Sega genesis you can play makes this place a high 5 star.
