It was a nice day to sit on the deck over looking the mountains. I had a bison burger with frys. It was very good. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of my meal before I started eating. I was hungry after our hike. It was a little expensive for a burger and fry, in my opinion.

Loved my mocktail and the view. My club sandwich with orange vinaigrette on the salad was good too! And our server was great.

We had lunch and dinner here last weekend. The giant pretzel was a little hard but the beer cheese made up for it. Plenty of brews on tap and in cans to choose from. Very friendly staff. Great views - gets pretty windy though when the balcony doors open. 😬

Google
Nice beer menu. Ordered the pretzel, steak frites, and skillet cookie. All were cooked well. It gets cold at night. Menu could use some more entrees

Best place for Alta apres - fresh delicious food with healthy options and great cocktails

We love this restaurant! The food is excellent, and the view is awesome. We've not been disappointed yet. That being said, here's a new one - so we bring a nice bottle of wine into the restaurant, and are charged a corkage fee of $25 (which is pretty normal for Utah). The waitress indicates to us that it's a "screw-top" bottle, so we can just open it and pour it ourselves. That's a bit odd for a nice restaurant! So why the corkage fee of $25, and what are we paying for?? Bear in mind, this is a very nice and upscale restaurant and building in a "touristy" area ski resort.

Didn’t expect much, but the Gulch Pub was our only stop and eat option that was decently reasonable with price. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet, calm, and open atmosphere. The lower temps and cool breeze allowed for the doors to remain open, which I thought created a nice ambiance. The food was surprisingly good! We both got the basic burger (menu is concise and simple) and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend it if your taking the scenic drive or plan on walking around.

Google
Review for the gulch pub. Sara, bartender, epic. Knows what customer service means and knows how to make great drinks. Her creation, the blackberry gimlet (not on the menu), is the perfect spring/summer refreshing drink. Her take on the muddled blackberry mule was wonderful too. Worth tracking down Sara and having her create for you. Blackberry gimlet should be on the menu.

Yelp
nice place to sit, outside. Good service. However the food is not very good. The fish tacos weren't good, and I thought about returning them. The fish had a smell, that wasn't very appealing. The bison Burger is tasteless

Yelp
Summer visit to The Gulch: we stopped for lunch after a delightful hike to Cecret Lake. The mood of this "pub" was laid back and welcoming. Servers were prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly. We had lunch sitting outside with their terrific view of the Alta ski runs and slopes. Our food was just what it should be: tasty, filling, and fresh. I found the bison chili terrific. My wife is gluten intolerant and they serve a gluten free roll with, in our case, the grilled chicken sandwich. Really good fries, the pretzel is fun, and they have delicious mocktails. Prices suitable for a resort.

Yelp
Unbeatable location with a gorgeous view of Alta. We ordered the Wasatch Nacjos after completing a mountain bike ride. The portion was generous. The nachos include beef brisket, queso, and fresh tomatoes and onion. They were delicious. Service was a tad slow, but friendly and helpful. I will go back.

Yelp
We went down for some drinks after dinner and ordered a nacho as well (not pictured). The drinks were so pretty and were pretty good. The nachos were delicious and definitely hit the spot. There was buffalo chili on top and that had a little kick to it but it was still amazing. We sat near the bar area and it was nice and cozy. Overall, it was nice to just go and hang out.

Yelp
I ate at the Gulch restaurant a few times during my stay. It's the only option outside of breakfast on certain days of the week. Each time I was there, I sat at the bar and there were a lot of locals as well. It felt like they got the priority service. However, the food was good.

Yelp
Would give 0 stars if possible. Food was disgusting, service was 1.5/10. Just wish they had told us when they seated us that they were bad at this. Don't bother eating here. Snowpine hotel is amazing! I had a burger which took an hour to arrive and was gross and a Caesar salad that had sun dried tomatoes in it. Seriously, don't eat here.

Yelp
Incredibly GOOD food/flavor (Trailhead burgers; shrimp tacos) & service; great rustic decor; casual; beautiful outside views & unique craft cocktails!

Yelp
I Just LOVE This Place! The food is fantastic and you can order from the main restaurant as well!!!! The staff is very friendly with excellent service! The crafted cocktails are stellar as well. Then there is the views! I almost think I'm in Austria About the food- hands down the best in all of Little Cottonwood Canyon ( and probably everything between here and to the top of LCC - so stoked this is here

Yelp
Idk, this place not really operating high level with either the food, yes it's a pub, nor with the drinks, yes its a pub, ie the pizza, tacos, drinks were average at best

Yelp
We were staying in Snowbird for a week, a working vacation so I had my office set up so that I could still do business. We were informed the power was going to go down in all of Snowbird for repairs. The city of Alta recommended coming here so that I could have power and wifi access to keep working. I called the hotel to confirm access and the gal at the front desk was gracious. Logan was a our bartender and was very hospitable. Great selection of beers and they had a small bites menu. Had the Snowpine burger. Awesome food. Great view as well. Will probably stay here at the Snowpine Lodge our next time up. Friendly atmosphere and met some cool locals.

Yelp
Food and drinks were mid. It was underwhelming to say the least. Views were nice though.

Yelp
What a gem of a find. Usually, there is little to choose from when it's off season, but my group asked around and we were directed to a little handwritten sign (the resort was still being finished) pointing inside. So glad we didn't drive on by. The resort is a beautifully designed traditional ski lodge and nestled in the middle is this treasure, complete with fireplaces and a mounted moose. Drinks were top notch (bartender was local and a great conversationalist about the area), the food was creatively prepared and delicious, and the views of the mountains and slopes were great. Really wishing these guys well and looking forward to my next visit out here!

Yelp
We stayed at Snowpine Lodge and had dinner at The Gulch Pub. We have young kids so we had to sit outside of the bar. We had a nice table by the fireplace which was quiet with a good view. The staff were very friendly and checked on us often. COVID safety measures were in place. The food was good and decently priced. My husband and I had the grilled chicken sandwich. It was filling but could have had some richer flavors. I just wanted a little more as far as taste goes. Overall, it was a good experience and because we were guests we were able to put the charge on our tab which was convenient!

Yelp
Stopped in the pub for a quick drink. The Alta Old Fashioned was original and delicious. Shout out to Dax the bartender. Besides making awesome drinks, he also gave us great restaurant recommendations and actually called around to make sure they were open. Service like that leads to me planning vacations at the resort.

Yelp
Views off the charts. Pizza decent. Salad and fried cauliflower not good. Prices are what you'd expect for the locale.

Yelp
The atmosphere is quite amazing, but the lack of service and the horrifically dirty floors in the bar take full court. I would recommend going down to Snowbird.

Yelp
I ate at The Gulch twice last week and had two completely opposite dining experiences. The first visit (Sunday afternoon) with my husband was 5 star! Food, ambiance & service were impeccable. I was so impressed that I brought my mom up for an early dinner the following Saturday and could not have been more disappointed. The restaurant was severely understaffed and the servers were overwhelmed. As a result we were seated at a dirty table and had to ask twice for a quick wipe down, the drinks were delayed, the order was incorrect and our request for plates and silverware was forgotten - I DON'T BLAME THE SERVERS(s) for the poor service as they were very obviously doing their best. There were only two working and they stayed friendly and professional as they scurried frantically trying to accommodate. Regardless of circumstance, it was a disappointing meal that was expensive.

Yelp
Might be the best calamari I've come across. No joke. The Pig pizza was delicious and Steak Bavette/Cream Corn dish was unique and tasty. A hidden gem. Go hear before any of the restaurants down at snowbird. Service was on point. Compliments to the chef.

Yelp
Incredibly nice bartender, great beer selection, AMAZING VIEWS. Had an order of the marinated cucumbers and some cold beers on draft after a hike to cecret lake from Albion and could not ask for a better afternoon. I'll definitely be back to try a larger course.

Ernie G.

Yelp
Great spot, only wish the new management brought the calamari back. It was outstanding in a way that is rare for this dish

Bcbuse B.

Yelp
Just what Alta needed. Trendy/upper scale bar with good food, views, and drink selection. Currently a little understaffed during summer, but everything else makes up for it.

Yelp
Had dinner there this week. The acoustics are terrible. One other party in the place, not particularly loud, but there are hard surfaces all around so the noise was overwhelming. And the food was worse. One in our party had a chicken dish that consisted of a wing and a back. They wanted to split the entré so the waitperson brought them 2 cold plates--thanks a lot. The hamburger, which others had told us was their best product, was overly salted. And shrimp disk was very spicy. The only part of the menu I enjoyed was the beer. But I'm not going back for that.
