Santa Barbara Char is a must-try. The food quality and flavor are great, but the price is high compared to the portion size and average market rates.

This place is consistently excellent. There are a few good cheeseburgers around town and the one I just had is as good as it gets and it's a little less pricey than the others. The chocolate shake was amazing and the fries were hot as heck. I can't stand cold fries. It's a great place to eat period.

I am an avid habit burger enthusiast, but this location today gave me literally 8 green beans with my $5 side order of green beans. It doesn't even fill the carton they gave it to me in. Disappointing product from this specific location. Also, when i asked for a side of thousand island for my green beans she said no and would have to charge me for it. since when do sides of fries or green beans not come with a sauce.

This place is pretty awesome. I love the architecture inside the restaurant. I ordered a kids charburger with onion pickles tomatoes and lettuce and it seems they got the order perfectly right despite that other reviews spoke differently. Service was excellent. The gentleman taking my food was straightforward and kind and showed me in depth how their ordering system worked, and even gave me a free drink! Atmosphere was a less busy considering I came after school with my mother? I thought normally more people would be inside (or outside) but I guess not… Overall 5 starts though,recommend going

Unless changes were made to correct the issues I had. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️ I expected a decent size burger for the business name. I asked how big are the patties, she said 1/5lb. That's not much at all. That's the same as McDonald's regular burger patties. And this charburger was not much better than a regular McDonald's burger at the price. My son got the charburger meal with fries and a drink. $13.29. I got a Double Charburger $7.99 and an onion ring $4.79 that came with a tiny cup of ranch. Most of the onion rings didn't fit in that little ranch cup. And only lasted about 1/3 of the onion rings. I went to the counter and asked for another ranch and was told that was an extra charge. And a water cup. Y'all got $28.09 for 2 burgers, 2 sides, and 1 drink and can't give enough sauce for 1 side? The pepper bar and bottled condiments was good. The limes were very very thin and not able to squeeze much juice out of them. They have 2 sizes of cups to use, the small size is what the ranch came in. If they had used the bigger cup there would have been sufficient ranch and big enough to fit the onion rings in. So what $0.06 for more ranch makes it a deal breaker to unlikely go back. The food was alright, but not for almost $30. Multiple people had food complaints of them messing orders up or forgotten items. So you better check your bags for to go orders. They have a women's restroom and a unisex restroom, no men's room... Seems quite odd. And apparently the toilets in the women's room get clogged often as per another customers feedback while I was placing my order. We went here while hungry and at SeaWorld. My friend got a charburger, brings, and the bean fries, and ordered another fry after eating.... She paid about $25 for herself.

the food absolutely revived me, the burger was like a slice of heaven. if you don’t know what to get, the bacon burger one was phenomenal, its so juicy and crisp and packed with flavor. the fries were perfectly crispy. additionally, they have a huge selection and even vegan options. next time i want to try one of the milkshakes. the only thing i noticed was somebody put on a playlist of 3 country songs that kept repeating, which was kinda funny.

First time trying a Habit grill. Food was pretty good. I like the alternatives to French fries that they have a on the menu. Prices were consistent with fast food places in the area, so that was a plus. The staff was grumpy and not very friendly, but it was Sunday night, so maybe they were just tired of people at that point or something was going on. Maybe the upper management could improve the situation for those folks. I will visit again.

Service was impeccable, from the person taking our order to the manager checking on tables. The tables and inside were clean and organized. The food was great. The best fried green beans I've ever had. Salty, but not overly salty and the flavor of the batter is outstanding. Burgers were cooked well too. My new fave burger joint.

Delicious food, only issue is that it seemed like the burgers might not have been as freshly prepared as I have had them from here in the past. But overall did not disappoint and will be back. Staff friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Don't order online if you are close. They push you out 30 minutes and change another 30%!! So much for a time saver

Parked right near this place for a shopping trip and realized it was lunch...seemed like just the joint for me! Ordered at the counter, charburger meal. Came with fries and a drink... food came out within 5 mins(good!) and order was right! Burger was a bit smaller than expected due to the price tag, but it was good. Fries were ok. Cool surroundings with nice seating areas both inside and out. Bottom line is that I easily compare all SoCal burger joints to In-N-Out... and this one just doesn't measure up. Nothing bad, just prefer their fries, and about $3 cheaper. This joint does not make the list.

the male cashier was great but the burger was mediocre (burger lounge is much better) I think the kitchen added onions to my burger after I had them switch the lettuce to green leaf (instead of iceberg) when it clearly said plain teriyaki char & the cashier told her "greenleaf" at the start {most of their locations give attitude when you ask for geenleaf. It's the least you can do since you charge me full price & I don't even get the bun or any other veggies. Iceberg is terrible & it's your fault for ignoring & wasting. I always check b/c I know they don't like substituting the lettuce. I said plain--only the burger & pineapple, no cheese, bun, onions, etc., so yeah why the onions? I took a few bites & realized it was onions on the pineapple side & my tummy got that mild burning acid sensation & I started getting a headache. I picked them off & it wqs only a few but enough to trigger me...I have an onion/garlic intolerance so I avoid raw layers or cooked chunks. The lady cleaning the bathrooms wasn't exactly the most pleasant. Overall not liking the vibe here & yes it was close to closing 9:45p but they said it was ok for take-out.

Habit is an excellent option if you're in the mood for a quality burger, need a quick meal, or both! My wife and I grabbed lunch here while in the area and were pleasantly surprised. We'd been craving burgers and the signature Charburger hit the spot! We also split a side of the Tempura Green Beans which I highly recommend. It's a fast-casual chain, so set expectations accordingly. However, the food was quality, the service was solid and everything was clean and in good order. What more can you ask for? Pro Tip: For those with allergies or dietary restrictions, Habit offers numerous alternative options that set them apart from the competition. For example, they serve veggie burgers (vegetarian/vegan), lettuce wraps (gluten free), chicken sandwiches (no red meat), tempura green beans (low carb), and more.

Got the chicken club deal and there was no bacon on either one. Disappointing since I didn't see till I got home. Also charging for ranch is glutinous coming from a big corporation. They won't even throw you one if you didn't pay for it.

Great food! First time having The Habit in a couple of years, and I am once again hooked! Very clean restaurant, and the food came out quick. Fries were some of the best I've ever had- so fresh. I don't live nearby- just passing through! 5/5!

Pics are from Sunday 8/18/24 at 2pm with the latio area completely filthy and smelly with urine from either dogs or homeless people. This place needs to be shut down until proper hygiene measures are taken.

After a long day at work, I placed a mobile order for the Impossible burger and parmesan garlic fries. My order was ready when I arrived. I placed the order 20 minutes in advance. The burger was delicious and for a veggie burger, it tasted like beef. The fries were hot, but could have been crispier. I've eaten here once before and had their chicken sandwich which was greasy, but still very good. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Parking is easy. I'd come back again if I'm looking for something quick.

Great food and service. Really happy with the double cheese and the grilled cheese. Fries are the best. The chicken sandwich is one of our favs now! Sooo good. A little on the pricey side but overall very good.

This place is a joke! I just ordered for delivery a cobb salad with bleu cheese dressing. I got basically a bowl of lettuce. The dressing cup was empty. When you call, they don't care.

Clean and an overall good place to grab some lunch ! Associates were good and I would eat here again.

Great Lemonade, Strawberry & Cucumber drink they make fresh daily. Also their buns on burgers "wheat" is an option & so are sweet potato French fries!

Do I recommend The Habit Burger Grill? That wasn't my question. The Yelp app asked me that. I'm repeating the question as a way of expressing my thought process in answer the question. You know how you repeat the question in your mind so you can better reflect on what is being asking? That's what I was doing by typing it out up above. Do I recommend it? A charbroiled burger where you can taste the charbroiled process? Why would I not recommend it? I know it's not good to answer a question with a question but sometimes the answer is in the question styled response. Plus, I've carried on this long which is a clue that my answer must be on the positive side. You know what? It is! I DO recommend it! Tasty burgers (I go with the double) and golden crisp fries. The Habit gets it done. Nice location with lots of seating inside and out.

Solid dependable service - the fries just the way I like crispy. I always order the #1 my wife burger no cheese no pickle. Perfect. The facility was cold I asked the register person, her name is Beth to turn the A/C down to warm the room up within 5 minutes it was perfect

Ordering thru the app is a real time saver... the countdown timer was a bit off... my order was ready before the timer reached 0. The green bean tempura is the only way green beans should be served. Lightly battered and then quickly deep fried. Crispy. The batter is really thin... "tempura" as a description is an exaggeration. The Teriyaki Char is just plan messy... bring the towels and wet wipes. I like the grilled pineapple...this really adds sweetness to the burger. COVID awareness: all staff member that I can see were masked. Hand sanitizer on counter. Plexi barriers in place. Restaurant was clean and well kept.

I had the veggie burger because I am pregnant and didn't want meat. It was sooo great. I did it with lettuce, pickles, grilled onions and ketchup without the honey mustard. I don't like mixing sweet with savory. I also had their side salad with red wine vinaigrette and then balsamic since I needed more dressing. Great lunch and I feel healthy!

Love this location! This place is super clean and nicely kept. Service is phenomenal, and the food is fresh and delicious! My husband and I are doing carnivore and this is the perfect place to go for when we aren't in the mood to cook. The price is great for our custom orders (patty, cheese, grilled onions), and they package everything so nicely. This location's team seriously shines and is very professional! I've been going to this place for a few years now and this past Sunday (June 23 2024) was the first time I had a bad experience. Service was very slow and the food was bad. I ordered the bbq bacon cheeseburger combo & one chicken Sandwhich and both were bad. The burger bun was hard and burnt, fries were salty af and the party on the burger was also burnt. The chicken sandwich also had the bun burnt and it just tasted bad. Total was 27.99 for our order and went straight to the trash. The reason we didn't take back the food was because we took the order to go and we're driving to L.A. so we started eating on the fwy and didn't want to drive back. I'll probably give them another change but I don't know what has happened to this restaurant.

So I came here to pick up dinner again in hopes of a better experience this time , I chose mobile/car pick up thinking they had a drive thru. When I got there, I realize that and felt bad that their mobile pick is different than Chick-fil-a ( I didn't want that curbside pick). So I parked far away and went inside to get my food. (This location was even worse than the one in Chula Vista off of otay lakes rd.) They also had multiple people in line but like the workers were not cooperative or communicating with each other so us as customers did not know where to go once again. So, I dreadfully waited the normal check in line for a good of more than 5 minutes and after everyone in front of me was helped by the cashier, he ignores the fact that I had been waiting longer than anyone. So, he let an anxious tall customer run in front of me speeding in to the counter and order his food so he could use the restroom for some code (perhaps the zip code ?). After that the same cashier ignored me and did not after apologize for the man who literally cut me off to the register and wanted to help others after me in line. So he simply IGNORED me til I said "hey I'm here for a mobile up," which once again was not ready. So he asked for my name and I waited for 2 minutes to him yelling my name as if he didn't hear it in the first place . By the time I got food, I should've just sat my pretty self at curbside. I thought helping the staff would mean less work for everyone but does mobile/curbside really work?

Ice cream machine magically breaks after 9 PM. (It's doesn't worker are just lazy)

Solid 5 stars. I really like how they prep the lettuce wrap compared to other burger places. Order-taker greeted us and got things right. Manager was present and making sure everything was on point, from flavor to portion size.

worst customer service ever the lady with the missing teeth and lisp whatever her name is messed up my order had attitude the whole time, and then had the audacity to say I need to buy something else to use the bathroom. insanity please get better employees who have courtesy in public service

This is the best habit location I've ever been to. The fiancé & I worked up an appetite while Christmas shopping. Came here on a Tuesday evening. It wasn't busy at all. Service was quick, employees were friendly. Food was fresh, hot & tasty. There was a condiment bar with spicy add ons plus all the sauces. The strawberry lemonade was also bomb af. Highly recommend if you want something delicious & on-the-go!

Honestly for the price, it's the best fast food burger in town after in n out...I love the Santa Barbara burger and the side options and they haven't priced me out like five guys...TY Habit burger

The Best Habit Burger location is the midway location. The employees are extremely friendly the food was very tasty and hot off the grill. The restaurant is so clean! This will be the only location I will ever go to from now on. Whoever hired the employees at this location deserves a medal. The employees deserve raises!

Ahh sad this is the worst Habit, They where going to sale me chicken nugs without sauce. They don't have any, I will never order Sweet potato fry's with a Char and Double char. By the time they worked it out the Car bread was hard, The SPF's would not come out till later so our burgers just sat there getting cold. They finally released our burgers, they where not the joy we are all used too. They where just off but this was the second time this Location did not keep up with the great standard my cheat days love. Oh Habit, run a Q.Check here please.

I came for Mother's Day as I wanted the tempura green beans, and my burger (impossible) was so juicy and sizzling hot. My only complaint was not enough green beans for the amount given. Overall experience was great. Customer service and food service are 10/10, and if you haven't tried their ranch, it's 100/10!

I have always had a good experience here but today could have been better. I ordered one burger on the kiosk to go and waited 30 minutes. I even checked in since I got a text saying it was ready and showed the worker my receipt but I was told it wasn't ready yet. Turns out my order was there the whole time and I got a cold burger after waiting almost 45 minutes.

Fast and easy to order either by staff or the machine... I ordered by the menu machine and it was easy The garlic cauliflower was great!

I came to this location last Wednesday (6/12) and Anthony is hands down the best employee ever! My friend and I walked in and he was very attentive and asked how we were! He was very welcoming and cares for his customers. I also left my camera on a table and about an hour later I came back thinking I lost my camera but thankfully Anthony made sure my camera was in a safe place!!! I really appreciate Anthony and this location overall. Thank you so much!!!

The Workers have an entitled attitude. Zero enthusiasm for customer service. Men's bathrooms are locked but women's bathrooms aren't? What kind of equality is that? They shouldn't be locking bathrooms to begin with, the area isn't exactly Beverly hill status.

Came here for the first time in years. I didn't care for it then, the meat tasted like meatloaf texture . Thought I'd give it another try. I ordered at the kiosk. Teriyaki burger, no pickles, no onions. After 10 minutes I had a fresh burger but they left the onions on. I had taken a couple bites before seeing or noticing taste. I then returned to the counter to tell them. They took it back and with seconds they brought me another one. My curiosity began about how fresh this one was going to be. Knowing it would require more time to cook if it was fresh. It was dry and barely teriyaki tasting. There was a smudge in the center of the bread that I couldn't reach. Went back to counter and asked for a side of teriyaki. I told her about the dry burger and said I would have preferred to wait for a fresh one. She said they grab the most cookeSt one on the grill for errors and remakes. She said sorry, it was probably someone who ordered it well done. Her fix was to tell me next time order from the counter not the kiosk for better chances. Wow! The bathroom was clean. One star. The dining room was clean One star.

I have to say that I have been very pleasantly surprised by the food from Habit Burger. I have gotten the Grilled Chicken sandwich many times as well as their salads and everything I have ordered has been fresh and delicious. The grilled chicken is good quality and that makes all the difference. I have never tried their burgers though, as I am not a fan of burgers in general. I would suggest Habit Burger for a quick & good dinner or lunch. We have ordered delivery many times and my only complaint is that sometimes the bread on the sandwich arrives soggy, but that is to be expected with delivery I suppose.

Burger decent size salty taste nothing special bun is terrible cheap packaged sesame seed bunfalls apart. In-N-Outs on way better. Don't understand why places don't realize that a good bun is so important for a good sandwich Burger etc..

So glad this location is super close to Seaworld. Took the kids here after a long fun day at Seaworld. We had a pleasant early dinner. Food was amazing and service was fast. Place was clean and well kept. We' will definitely come back.

Always friendly staff and delicious food! The mobile app and the little Kiosks do not allow you to order and pay cash at the register which is a little weird but not a bad thing!

Had lunch from here before but actually got to sit down and eat at this Sports Arena location on our extra leap day! When we got there it wasn't too busy but the moment we sat down there was a line and the dining room filled up. My son got the original double char meal with fries and a drink and I got the Santa Barbara (it's a double char) and green bean fries. I liked the fact that my Santa Barbara includes 2 patties has avocados in there . To my surprise, It was really good! The fried green beans were good as well. I liked the fact that they had yellow peppers and jalapeños for us as well.

It's not the cleanest of all Habit locations but that's probably because the Midway District where it's located is pretty nasty in general. The counter staff were very friendly and the food was fresh. The Habit simply has better tasting and better quality food than other burger joints. It's a fact. And, while I like their burgers a lot, the ahi tuna filet sandwich is very, very good and you really won't be making a great sacrifice in flavor by trying one.

I ordered the Santa Barbra Burger and it was well put together and I was surprised how delicious it was. Great atmosphere for the family or for anyone that's looking to have a burger with a A/C environment.

Did not expect much when we stumbled on this place, we actually walked out but glad we didn't. The food and service were amazing. The place was busy and it flowed nice. Employees were all very nice. I really liked the drink options also. The only thing that didn't stack up were the fries. They were fresh and hot, but needed a little seasoning. Everything else made up for it.

Great first experience eating here. Takeout order was on time (if not a little early). It was easy to order online, and Imani was super helpful, gracious and sweet when I arrived (give her a raise and promote her! She's solid gold). The BBQ Bacon burger (I added avocado) was super flavorful and juicy without falling apart. The (steak) fries were solid as well. Definitely excited to come back and try other menu items!

Let me start by saying that I chose the wrong place to order my birthday dinner! I walked in and ordered in person. Very simple two salads and a patty melt! I was very clear and specific about asking for no butter on my patty melt bread. After patiently waiting for 20mins I got my food and went home to hubby. My salad had welted cucumbers and soggy tomatoes. My husband Cobb salad was lacking! And the melt was decent if only they didn't smother it in butter!! Oh gentleman that took my order wasn't very nice! Forgot to mention that the green beans tempura were bland and tasteless! Maybe they're having a bad day but I was having a good day since it's my birthday until I walked in! Thanks a lot!!

My new favorite burger joint! I don't understand why the lines to in an out are so long and the lines to this place is not.

I discovered the Habit Burger close to 7 years ago. I became a fan after my first visit. What I love here is the double char with bacon (lettuce wrapped) along with the Caesar's salad. Ordering online allows be to customize my order so my Char Burgers are always prepared correctly. I have only had one issue with a new associate at a location in Upland, California. The issue was immediately corrected. People that eat here also love the sweet potato fries, French fries, onion rings, salads and milk shakes. Habit Burger only uses fresh ingredients and everything is made to order meaning it's fresh, and made for you. Habit Burger was recently sold to Yum Brands. Same Corporate owner of Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell.

Omg what can I say! We love the habit burger , we always order on the app and pick up our food to go at this location. The last time we went it was pretty busy and we were shortened on fries. One recommendation, we order frequently you should have more rewards on your app
