The Hackney

I photographed a wedding here on the weekend. It was one of the best venues I've been to. The staff are so amazing and friendly, they really look after their suppliers. The wedding breakfast room is a perfect combo of industrial and high end but still has a cool edge to it with its white brick and metal frames. I would like to that the staff at the venue for being so lovely to me and I cant wait to be back again.

Good coffee and great breakfast/brunch food. It was practically empty when we went on a Sunday morning!

I photographed Ash & Bex's wedding and fell in love with the cool and stylish vibes of the venue. The lighting and greenery is gorgeous. You don't even need that much decoration. The couple just added a few sunflowers which gave the venue a pop of colour. Highly recommend this venue for your next event! Grace Pham Photography

Update: this is no longer a coffee shop it’s just a private hire venue that pedals some coffee between events. I have attempted to go a dozen times in the past year only to see that it is closed for a private event. At this point what is the point of pretending to be a local coffee shop when it’s never open for locals to obtain a single coffee. Don’t waste the walk . . . (Old review from 2018 below) My favourite coffee shop in East London. Decor 10/10 Lots of seating, never an issue to stay on Food and pastries are great- toasted sandwiches and soup are great. Drinks in the evening- highly recommend one of the signature espresso martinis! Very cheap I think £8. Lovely staff, and the same friendly faces each time! Back garden is open during summer which adds space and let’s you sit outside! Also holds supper clubs with local chefs/ florists! Free WiFi, great lighting, great coffee

We hosted our Christmas Party here and it was amazing!! The best Christmas Party we have had. Food was amazing! The waiter service was great!! The cocktails were some of the best I have had in my life!! and the Venue was just simply Stunning the pictures don't do it any Justice

You have to venture inside to appreciate this beautiful large quirky space. Shop front has no seating, but go on through after you've ordered at the counter and you'll find yet another room...and then another. Well worth an investigation, wonderfully decorated, lots of seating, some really comfortable chairs too...coffee was great. When we visited on a Sunday, there was no food, only coffee was being served and a few cakes. I had a Cortado, would have preferred it in a smaller cup or glass...my companion ordered a flat white which was unusually served in a lovely small cup, while my Cortado came in the big glass, didn't look so nice. But like I said...it tasted GREAT, strong and smooth and that's what counts. Highly recommended. Thanks guys ✨

Very quiet when we went on a Sunday morning at 10.45am. lovely building and very spacious. Has an outdoor area. Great coffee. Saw about it on the OneZone app and had been meaning to go for a while. Glad we finally made it.

I cannot rate this place as a coffee shop/ restaurant as I was only in the city for a wedding with this being the venue. On that note, as a wedding venue, what a marvelous time had. The space is lovely, the food fabulous and the service attentive. When next in the area, will definitely stop in for coffee and a bite.
