The place has a nice and pleasant atmosphere, making it a comfortable spot to sit and relax. However, the overall experience was quite disappointing. We ordered kopi, but what was served was kopi-o, which was not what we requested. On top of that, the coffee lacked any real coffee flavour — it was bland and didn’t have the aroma or richness you’d expect. We also ordered two sets of toast with soft-boiled eggs. Unfortunately, both sets came with eggs that had pieces of eggshell inside, which really affected the dining experience. Additionally, the toasted buns were not warm at all. It felt like they had been prepared earlier and left sitting out before being served, losing both their warmth and crispness. It’s a pity, as the setting is pleasant, but the food and drink execution left much to be desired. Hopefully, improvements can be made to match the ambiance.

Was brought by my bf here before flying back to manila for me to try a good chicken rice and glad that he chose this restaurant. The food we ordered was all delicious and the price is reasonable as well. We ordered Roasted Chicken rice which became my favorite, Hainanese curry 10/10 and Sambal Stingray 10/10 as well. We’ll dine here again every time we get a chance to fly from Changi.⭐️

Food is average. Not any better than toast box. But the service standard is really slow. Ordered usual toast set and it was served after 30mins. This is a Saturday morning at 9:30AM. The place wasn’t even full. They had a lot of staff in the kitchen and yet the output was ridiculous slow for the toast counter. And it wasn’t just our table. Other tables were getting really impatient as well. But the hot food counter seems to be serving food out fast. Literally only had one service staff serving food on the floor. At least the service staff were mostly helpful and polite. They definitely need to improve their processes.

The ambiance and seating are quite nice, and the menu offers a great variety of options. However, the food was just average. The dishes looked appealing on the menu but the taste was just so-so.

Order the 3 tier Ah Ma Hainese Hi tea set. 2 drinks with 3 Tier of hot items(fries, chix wing, prawn fritters), 2 layer of toast bread and coconut kuey and top layer of swiss roll and 2 cookies. We have abit of everything. In my view, food selections are not alot and that tends to limit. Please explore more recipes other than toasts and chicken rice.

Physical menu. Scan QR to order, after meal pay at cashier. Food tasted good but not great. Nice presentation. Service was above average. Food serving was slow. Environment was clean.

I usually patronize Chapter One at Hotel Boss which is excellent all-round, despite the occasional hiccups in orders getting mixed up. Chapter Two, though, leaves a lot more to be desired this time round. Firstly, my order of a simple yuan yang and soft toast took really long to serve. 3 other tables who came after me had their orders served before mine. After I asked about my order, the staff just replied that my order was in and I had to inform the staff that my order was placed a long time before the last of the 3 tables after mine received their order. Only then did they check on my order; lo and behold, my order came immediately. It was when I touched the bun that I realized that my order was probably sitting there unserved for while because the soft bun which was light toasted was cold and hard, like a toasted thick bun sitting out for while. Oh well... This really comes down to better training and customer service. Been to this place a few times and it's hit or miss cos I have great experiences here and bad ones too. Never had such problems at Chapter One. And btw, at the time of this experience at Chapter Two, it wasn't busy.

I’m not sure why some people are leaving harsh comments about this place because my experience here was really good and memorable. I tried their roasted chicken rice, and honestly, it was one of the best single dishes I had during my entire Singapore trip! The chicken was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the fragrant rice. The staff were really nice, warm, and attentive, which made the dining experience even better. The location itself is clean, comfortable, and well-kept, making it a great spot to sit down and enjoy a meal. If you’re at Jewel and craving chicken rice, I definitely recommend giving this place a try. It was a highlight for me, and I’d happily return!
