Finally, I tried the Hainanese story at Jewel Singapore for the first time. It was somewhat crowded, with a queue outside, but the line moved quite quickly. This place comprises a few different brands, so we decided to try each of them. Always love a good hainanese or straits chinese dishes! The standout dishes included Hainanese Chicken Rice, Curry Rice, and Hainanese Porridge. Oh please order on the side fried pork belly. And ask for the sambal. It is very good! The Char Kway Teow needs significant improvement; it didn’t taste much nor it has the wokhey taste. I had better expectations of it. However, I was very pleased with the drinks they offer here the portion for drink is large with adequate ice to drink ratio. Averaging at $2-$4

Not sure eating chicken rice or eating chicken bones rice. 80 percent bones end up had to order a second portion. If this is the way of your business just to earn extra 10 dollars, rest assured that this will be the first and last time. For a restaurant standard i think the meat portion should be justifiable for the price itself. If not what makes you different from the hawkers? Maybe should check out how other chicken ruce restaraunts serve their chicken rice like boon tong kee.

Got the toast set and a couple of for takeout and enjoyed them! For toast, I opted for the one with lychee and it was so fragrant! The filling I chose was the gula melaka kaya with butter and woah, it was RICH. The teh siu dai was also very fragrant and well-balanced with tea and milk—I think I like it more than toast box?!?!? As for the eggs, could be better cooked cos a bit watery. For the four buns, my favorite was the chicken burger cos it was substantial and actually tasty. The bolo char siew and Hainan curry bun were both not bad. Last in place was luncheon meat + egg bun, but still not bad. All in all, savory buns are FUN and good for breks!

The place has a nice and pleasant atmosphere, making it a comfortable spot to sit and relax. However, the overall experience was quite disappointing. We ordered kopi, but what was served was kopi-o, which was not what we requested. On top of that, the coffee lacked any real coffee flavour — it was bland and didn’t have the aroma or richness you’d expect. We also ordered two sets of toast with soft-boiled eggs. Unfortunately, both sets came with eggs that had pieces of eggshell inside, which really affected the dining experience. Additionally, the toasted buns were not warm at all. It felt like they had been prepared earlier and left sitting out before being served, losing both their warmth and crispness. It’s a pity, as the setting is pleasant, but the food and drink execution left much to be desired. Hopefully, improvements can be made to match the ambiance.

my go to lunch in jewel before my flight when i'm craving local taste 👅 Hainanese pork belly curry rice - deliciouus, not overly strong curry taste so won't make you nauseous. Signature fried kway teow - love chewy noodle with wok taste and savoury flavour Roasted Pork - juicy meat and crispy layer on top Kopi C Kosong :)

Food served was really disappointing. Bread set was outrageous, the kaya and cheese was "separated" and not tasty. The soft boil eggs were cold when served. The chicken rice set was worst than the normal economy rice set, served cold and not presentable too... The lor mee was super disappointing as no ingredients can really be found in the bowl of noodles, only 2 small pieces of ngoh hiang, 1 egg and some some small bite size crumbs. The noodles as usual...cold and hard to swallow Really unbelievable that Jewel have this over rated eating establishment. I would rather skip this shop and go for other food beside instead. Not cheap and not even filling and its costly, waste money.

Was brought by my bf here before flying back to manila for me to try a good chicken rice and glad that he chose this restaurant. The food we ordered was all delicious and the price is reasonable as well. We ordered Roasted Chicken rice which became my favorite, Hainanese curry 10/10 and Sambal Stingray 10/10 as well. We’ll dine here again every time we get a chance to fly from Changi.⭐️

I find it a need to review their misleading menu and portion. I ordered fried cod fish rojak, thinking there is cod fish but knowing its not real cod fish, the fried thin slices were what they labelled menued as cod fish. It is very misleading. The youtiao also tasted stale. With the price 17.90 is totally not worth. Its like a scam dish. My husband ordered chicken rice, portion is small. Ordered kopi c ice dilou, but still tasted disluted. Overall experience was bad and wouldnt come come again.
