Perfect location – very central and easy to get everywhere. The staff were so welcoming and gave us great recommendations for food and drinks in the area. The décor was finished to a high standard and the whole place was spotless. We stayed in a studio apartment and it was huge – they really had thought of everything, from milk and water in the fridge to coffee pods, a coffee machine, and even a Bluetooth speaker. It felt homely and luxurious at the same time. Would absolutely stay again!

We came in on a Friday night and were being served by an older man with a beard and curtains who took over completely from someone else. The attempts to flirt with us as a group of young women were not appreciated and were honestly weird. Could tell he was impressed with himself but it made us uncomfy to the point where we finished our drinks and left. Was very busy and other staff working were lovely, unfortunately he just ruined the experience for us completely. Hi Simon, thanks for the response. It was a man behind the bar in penny blue. He had brown hair in a sort of middle parting and a beard and mustache

Very good accommodation. Two bedroom apartment was very nice. Overnight parking not too expensive. Location good. Centre of Carlisle but only 10 minutes, if that from the M6. Dog friendly. No food available on a Monday night but good carry out just across the road. Would use again.

Was here for a wedding recently and I have to say, one of the best wedding breakfast services that I've ever had. Food came out quickly, lovely and hot (apart from the dessert which was quite the opposite, on purpose), just a very slick and efficient service and better than any other wedding I've been too. Congrats to the team, you nailed it.

Location: Excellent, especially if you're travelling to Carlisle by train as it's less than 5 minutes walk. They also have purpose parking. Room: I stayed in a standard suite, which was essentially a studio apartment with self catering facilities. No issues with room at all, great value for what you get. Hotel: There was a gym onsite, which I didn't have time to use, but definitely a plus. They also have catering under a restaurant named Penny Blue, which served top tier food. Ended up having breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and left feeling satisfied

Excellent stay at the Halston, accommodation is exceptional for the price. Prices in bar area very reasonable, staff couldn’t be any more accommodating to make sure you enjoy your stay. Car park operated by the hotel with 20% discount for guests is an added bonus.

A one night midweek stay. I wish I had an excuse to stay longer. When I find one I will be back. The hotel was easy enough to find with a large public car park next to it. If you pay the parking at the hotel you get a 20% discount. Staff were very nice and helpful. We had a big, clean, well equipped suite that everything we needed. Staying midweek we had no noise issues. The city center attractions, the cathedral and the castle are all within easy walking distance. We ate at the attached restaurant and found the food to be of a high quality and standard. This is an easy hotel to recommend.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, there were a few problems initially as I have a disability and needed a lift to the room which wasn’t available initially. Dee was brilliant and managed to change us to a suitable room without any fuss. Dee also helped us find the hotel disabled parking as we had driven round a few times and couldn’t find it. She was very welcoming and professional and nothing was too much trouble whenever we had a question. Dee is a huge asset to this hotel and would definitely stay again.
