The Halyards Hotel & Spa

We booked a week in advanced The hotel ph0ned us and canceled a day before saying our booking was given to another After making a scene they accommodated us We drove thru from PE to be greeted with a disaster!! No private parking after they said there is Check in at 14.00 We arrived at 15.30 Room still getting cleaned After an hour we returned to staff still cleaning the room Staff being on cellphone and shoes all over the room 2 single beds Lifeless room with 2 super small chairs older than grandma Smallest tv with no Arial No wifi or fridge Carpet stains Yellow stained pillow cases The whole hotel was empty People scratching in bins where your car should be safe Bathrooms are moldy and filthy For R2000 per night?? The hotel should be closed down DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH THAT!!!

We stayed in room 30.||Room was clean and neat. The heater was broken, so we requested extra blankets in the morning. By late afternoon we still haven't received our extra blanket, and housekeeping took our towels without replacing them so we had to ask for new towels. Other than that everything was good. Food was fantastic and the bar ladies were great||

I last stayed at the Halyards 15 years ago and have quite looked forward to visiting again. It is really sad to see how a once great hotel in a fantastic position has become a shadow of its former self. The staff are full of Eastern Cape hospitality and their table is still good but this visit will be my last. Sad to see the once premier hotel of the town in this condition. I suppose R650 for a room and breakfast should have been a red flag. With a bit of TLC this place could be great again

The most exciting news this July! Halyards Hotel just launched their Saturday Seafood buffet! That's right, once a month, on the last Saturday, you can feast like a king at their 4-course buffet dinner. With all the trimmings that Halyards is known for you can enjoy a delicious seafood buffet that won't break the bank account! Mussels, fish, calamari and much more! I'm a dessert freak, and I was not disappointed! Don't judge!! Over all a fabulous experience. Outstanding service and hospitality by Onika, Mzi and the team. If you don't make the buffet Seafood dinner, try their Sunday lunch buffet. Your stomach will love you!

I was there for a meeting in August. Conference facilities are very sub-par and the hotel couldn't even supply a projector with the correct resolution. The location is beautiful but the management needs to seriously rethink an upgrade of the rooms and facilities

Was just a lovely and a good stay with the Hotel , we all enjoyed our stay, each one of us we even recommended the place with friends.

Start with painting your facility and fixing loose poles. Rooms needed a good paint. Carpets needed to be replaced. The balcony needed a serious sandpaper off and paint. My chairs I had to ask to be cleaned.

It was a great experience. The place is super clean, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They make the best food, especially the breakfast.
