The Handpie Company

The best quality handpie or meat pie i have ever had. So happy to have picked some up in Toronto recently!! I wish they were sold all over Ontario. A hug in a handpie, best comfort food, the best ingredients and there is a flavour for everyone!!!! My favourite flavours are chicken pot pie, PEI pasty and chickpea curry!!!

What a random and delightful spot to pop into! There lots of good food on this island and we hit this spot in the way outta town. It’s cute!maybe a few spots to sit outside but really it’s a take and go situation. Love that you can see their production kitchen. The service was friendly. When I heard my total $ for the order I was like what!! But then when I picked one up and realized the gravity of the situation and took a bite, I totally understood the prices. Absolutely worth a pop in.

Came from Nova Scotia so we had to try multiple pies during our stay on the island. Zero complaints! The pies were delicious! The staff were friendly, even funny! They have an amazing spot to sit outside, and they even have disc golf. We will definitely be coming back! Our favourites so far are the chicken and broccoli, and the bacon cheeseburger.

We were on our way to Summerside to look for a Subway when we happened come across the Handpie Company. Our meal plans quickly changed and we stopped to try them out. The bakery and store are quite nice and the service was prompt and friendly. My wife and I ordered a PEI Pasty and my sons had the BBQ Pulled Pork. The PEI Pasty was very tasty (ha). It very much seemed like a handheld version of a meatpie. The ingredients; beef, potatoes and turnip, were delicious. The size was perfect for a lunchtime meal. You could see the bakery from the order counter so you can see the handpies being made. You can order a box of frozen handpies as well as apparel. Recommended!

What a gem on PEI! We stopped by The Hand Pie Company today and were blown away by how delicious everything was. The crust is perfect, the fillings are generous, and the taste is unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back!

We were so excited to finally try a handpie! There was a large variety of sweet and savory handpies when we arrived. I had the chicken pot pie and it was delicious. The crust is crispy but not dry and it was not soggy at all. Staff were very friendly and were as excited as we were for our first PEI handpie. I highly recommend and will be back. I found the price was more than fair for fresh delicious food made with care. We would have spent way more at McDonald's for a meal and it would not be as delicious and nutritious as the handpies!

The handpie company was recommended to us by locals so we had to try it! To be honest the pies did not wow us - they were fine. Made elsewhere and baked on site at place of purchase. We found a pit in the sweet pie - not pleasant. Also tried their beet, corn and goat cheese pie (did not find any cheese in my pie) and chicken pot pie.
