We found out about Hansons Country Inn thru Trip Advisor and sure were glad we did. It was a wonderful, homey place to stay. Pat, the owner and proprietor was lovely and made us feel totally at home. It is conveniently located to Corvallis and close to the campus of OSU. The breakfast was phenomenal. She has a baby grand piano in the living room and was happy to have me play the piano, which was a delight since I miss playing the piano while on vacation. The bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets were amazing. We would have loved to have stayed longer!

Sure, you could stay at one of the chain hotels in town but with a sweet B&B minutes from downtown why would you?||Pat runs a cozy, clean and charming home away from home here. I absolutely LOVED my room with all of its vintage charm (check out that adorable guest towel in the 1920s-era bathroom!). ||Breakfast was delicious and I felt very well cared for. It truly is like staying at a friend’s house. Will definitely stay here for future trips to Corvallis.

We visited on our honeymoon and the Hanson Country Inn by far exceeded our expectations. The hospitality was phenomenal and reminded us of visiting our grandmother's house. The room we stayed in was really nice with a comfy bed and antique furniture. The best part of all was the breakfast as we were served the most delicious homemade waffles I have ever tasted. If you're in the area I highly recommend staying at the Hanson Country Inn.

This was my first stay at a bed and breakfast and I must say that it far exceeded my expectations. I love historic homes so I was immediately smitten with the charm and character of the home itself as well as all of the antiques. The owner, Pat, is a remarkable artist and her art is displayed in the home which only adds to its beauty. My room had a very soft, wonderfully comfortable bed, a sitting room, and a huge, private terrace that overlooked the lush gardens. The roses and hydrangeas were in full bloom and the weather was gorgeous so I was able to enjoy the views. My private bathroom was just a few steps away and it had great moldings and a shower head tall enough for me (not always the case). It was decorated beautifully.||The breakfasts were 5-star and I ended up skipping lunch both days since I was still full! I enjoyed a fruit-plate and muffin starter, followed by waffles with blueberry compote and a delicious cream. The poached egg and croissant with garden-fresh tomato, avocado and hollandaise sauce were divine! One guest ate 2! Beautiful presentation-both the plating and the dining room views. ||The staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly. I felt like I was visiting with family.||The grounds were amazing with lovely gardens: vegetable and flower. Not from Oregon, I was in awe of the figs, English walnuts, blackberries, apples, plums, and pears all growing on the property. Amazing! ||The wifi was extremely fast, which is always a plus.||The location was great with a beautiful view of the mountains, but only .5 mile from OSU stadium. We also enjoyed an afternoon at the ocean which is an easy, 1 hour drive away.||Terrific place! I would never stay anywhere else and am actually returning in November. See you soon, Pat!

I feel like I've come home to loving family here. The customer service and the breakfast is forever impeccable!! Keep up the excellent work❣️❣️❣️ Can't wait to stay here again.

The Hanson Country Inn is the only Corvallis B&B currently listed in Tripadvisor so it's status as #1 is guaranteed. That doesn't detract from the quality product this older estate home and it's innkeeper provide. Located on the outskirts of Corvallis, this is a 'country' setting while still providing easy access to the town. The home itself is filled with beautiful antiques. Pat is a friendly and informative innkeeper. She also provided one of the best breakfasts we experienced on our thirteen day trip throughout Oregon. Highly recommended.

We are seniors, road tripping through Oregon on our way to Seattle in Aug. 2016. I found Hanson Inn Bed and Breakfast on Trip Advisor. Staying there was a delight. It's a restored 1920s mansion about 3 minutes from the OSU campus. It sits on a few acres of rural land overlooking the forest. Our room and the rest of the house was quiet, neat as a pin and we felt like guests of aristocrats from an earlier era. The interior of the home is restored elegance. The gourmet breakfast was delicious as we gazed out a picture window at the forest. We paid $140 on a Monday night which, for perspective was less than we have been paying for semi-cheap 2-3 star motels in southern & central Oregon. Free WiFi was fast.

We came to Corvallis to a regional swim meet. We tried to book a motel close to the swim center, but they were full. Well thank goodness. We really lucked out with the Hanson Country Inn. It is a beautiful old home on a hill only tem minutes away from the swim center. Pat is a very lovely gracious hostess. There is ample parking. The breakfasts are to die for and we were there for three of them.

Yelp
Such a beautiful location. The house is a beautiful location with beautiful land. The little kitty on the grounds is such a sweety. I have been there a few times for goat yoga events and have loved the location.

Yelp
We were not sure about the best place to stay as this was our first time in the area but we seemed to have found it. What it is: a piece of art, a place to come back to feel safe and rejuvenate, a place to step out of the stream of chaos, information and foolishness and reflect on the actions of the world and your reaction to it, and at least a comfortable home like place to rest and stay while you are in the area. What it is not: it is not a chain hotel/motel, it is not brand new, it is not a party dive, it not the same every time and it is not a resort. Our experience: we arrived around 8 PM while it was raining and dark. As we approached the door we found a note asking guests to call a phone number to be let in. The house was built in the early 1900's and seemed to be built as a "boarding house." Although, we wiped our feet as we entered the house it was so clean that I wished to take off my shoes before I entered but was told it was not necessary and was shown to a room upstairs. The room is large, and filled with antique furniture. After being shown around the room and the adjacent sitting room and bathroom, we were pleasantly surprised by the presence of a snack and drink. We were asked when we would be down for breakfast and told that it would be ready for us when we did. The next morning, breakfast was ready when we were and simply great. After morning meetings, I got back midday and sat in the living room to read the local and national news paper. It was a bit cold out so I got up to get a sweater when Pat came out and offered to get the fire working in the fireplace. It really wasn't necessary but she did and offered me something to drink. I accepted some tea as long as she joined me and we had a pleasant chat which ended only by my schedule of an afternoon meeting. We got back after having dinner in town, and when we got to the Inn, we took a moment to enjoy the site of several deer comfortably grazing on the front lawn. The next morning breakfast was even better and I was so comfortable that it was difficult to leave. Don't look for perfection but in its entirety the stay was perfect and the best we had in quite some time. For us there is no need to look elsewhere ... This is the place to stay.

Yelp
Pat, the innkeeper, is as welcoming and pleasant as can be imagined. Breakfasts are amazing - including her "Dutch baby"! Muffins snd such are all scratch made, and the atmosphere is truly serene. I still have yet to experience a roaring fire downstairs, though - perhaps if we come back in the winter! There is some construction going on nearby so the birds aren't as noticeable for now.

Yelp
You'd never guess this B&B is walking distance from attendance at an OSU Beaver's game, in Corvallis, OR, set as it is on a hill surrounded by trees and overlooking rolling pastures. It is, though, and that makes this an ideal launching point for exploring Corvallis and its environs. The historic Hanson Country Inn is filled with antiques and charm, from the well-appointed rooms to the cozy sitting area downstairs. Pat, the host, provides killer breakfasts in the morning as well as friendly and informed guidance and information on local events and activities. Venture out to explore the charming downtown in Corvallis or grab a bottle of Oregon pinot noir and relax on the Hanson's beautiful grounds. Friendly for families, couples, and business travelers alike, the Hanson Country Inn is a good bet when needing to stay close to town.

Yelp
If you have the need or opportunity to stay in Corvallis OR this is THE place to book. Terrific rooms, awesome host and wonderful breakfasts! Pat is gracious and friendly. We look forward to our visits to OSU and have stayed here every time. Never disappointed, we always are met with excellent service and very nice accommodations. We can't say enough good things; you need to try it yourself.

Yelp
I was here for a wedding once upon an Oregon summer. The grounds are quaint and well-kept. The garden where the ceremonies take place is really pretty and manicured. The interior has an antique feel, which is to be expected with an Inn in Oregon. It's kinda of like Grandmas house. It rained, something that was very rare considering the summer month we were in, and the owners did their best to accomodate us. However, this meant increased liability to them, and wet & muddy paws tracking through the Inn, so they were admittedly paranoid and especially watchful over all the guests. Noticeably concerned, as they would follow guests who were eating, and quickly ask for their plate before it was set down somewhere undesirable. Understandable. The rooms are cute and the beds are fluffy. The entire wedding became a fiasco though. Our boys had too much fun and got a little rambunctious so we were thrown out and they later took my friends to court. As evil as I felt they were about everything, I have to Yelp fairly so the Bottom line: if youre visiting and doing an Inn tour or bed & breakfast deal, its cute and worth a look, but hold an event here ONLY if you can be on tip top behavior, drunk wedding guests included. Maybe I dont recommend this place for a mid to late twenties wedding crowd.

Yelp
This bed and breakfast was terribly charming, with a wonderful living room equipped with a fireplace, piano, and lots of interesting antiques. The host was kind, but not overly chatty. The breakfast was stellar, we had eggs benedict one day and dutch babies another. My only complaint was that it was very cold in our room, the heat was kept very low if ever on at all. I heard that this land was recently signed over to become student housing, I'd be really sad to see this landmark B&B go.

Yelp
Nice environment but totally unimpressed with the service here The rooms were freezing as they had no heat on at night and the kitchen staff was unfriendly and not helpful

Yelp
We had a great stay with Pat at Hanson Country Inn--the fireplace was roaring when we arrived, we were checked in quickly, and we were able to call our on-site innkeeper if we had questions or needed assistance. We relaxed in our spacious room and were provided with a portable radiator, so the room was perfectly comfortable all night despite frosty temps outside. We enjoyed an autumnal stroll around the garden and lovely morning views from the breakfast room window. The food was delicious and the network was fast and very reliable, for which we working-while-on-vacation folks were extremely grateful. Pat was knowledgeable about the area and provided us with info about the local culture and economy (since we were so enchanted we might consider Corvallis part of our retirement plans). Corvallis is also a lovely place to explore--we enjoyed the many parks and forested neighborhoods, as well as the fun and funky downtown. Hope we'll have the pleasure again soon!

Yelp
I stayed here for 1 night while taking my daughter to visit OSU. The Inn is charming--beautiful house and grounds, comfortable bed (queen in main bedroom, twin fold out in attached sitting room for my teen daughter), clean room and bathroom. Breakfast was delightful with fruit and muffins, eggs benedict, coffee, juice. Quiet, despite construction down the hill. Noteworthy for those with allergies (like me), cat(s) live on the premises and come into the Inn. I have fairly severe cat allergies and I was unaffected (testament to cleanliness), but I would have liked to know. The Hanson Country Inn was a very pleasant (slightly spendier) alternative to budget hotels/motels in town.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for one night on a recent trip to Oregon. What a find! The inn is clean and comfy, and Pat, the innkeeper, is a lovely woman who serves a delicious breakfast! She also recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner. If our travels ever bring us back to Corvallis we hope to be able to stay here again.
