If all vegan food was this good, I would never eat meat again. Get the Buddha Bowl to have a taste of everything. The falafel wrap was also delicious and their coffee was amazing. We drove straight from the Dublin airport on our way to The Wicklow Mountains and it was very worth the drive.

What a wonderful place! The food is great and the staff is super friendly. I definitely suggest to go there if you like vegan and want to eat great food. I ran into this place by accident and I m just happy I did. Enjoy.

Having been a fan of the Happy Pear podcast for many years it was so amazing to visit while on our honeymoon in Ireland. The food, the vibe, the staff... It was everything we hoped it would be and more. The hardest thing was choosing what to eat for late lunch, we could have easily sat there all afternoon and eaten everything on the menu. After a swim with Steve and Dave at sunrise the following day we went back when the shop opened for breakfast and ate more delicious food. We can't wait to return again in summer.

I highly recommend this place for vegans and vegetarians! I got the beetroot falafel wrap and two salads thinking the wrap would only be a half. It was the whole thing plus I got two salads. That whole meal was only 13.50 euros and I had leftovers. The cake was delicious!

We planned to visit whilst in Dublin. It’s an hours journey by train and well worth the visit. We arrived early and had breakfast and a coffee upstairs by the fire. We had the avo toast and posh porridge. After that we took a lovely long walk down at the beach. It’s Jan and freezing but many people swimming, so do it if you are feeling brave haha! We wandered back up to the restaurant for lunch, with hot food now being available (breakfast is mostly cold quick grabs). We sat in the courtyard this time . We both had the lentil lasagne and it was delicious. Under the canopy in the courtyard there are heaters if you are feeling chilly. Be aware the birds are keen to help you eat your lunch, so if you are sitting outside, don’t leave your lunch unattended! The coffee is really good and the staff are all so friendly too. It’s a vibrant place and deffo worth a visit if you are in Dublin. You can use your leap card for the train and it’s within the 60min zone so doesn’t cost a lot to get there. We visited on a Thursday, they have super club on a Friday and if we weren’t flying home tomorrow I probably would have booked for that too and just spent the whole day in greystones.

Very tasty food in a nice comfortable cafe. Unfortunately the soup had a parsnip (still not convinced this is a vegetable :) in it so not for me but was told it was delish along with the included sourdough. We also ordered hot chocolates which were made properly using real chocolate and not powder. Chocolate soufflé cake which was amazing and a couple of coffees which were also very good. My only gripe was they forgot the cappuccino which I wanted to have with my cake and eventually we had to go downstairs looking for it it after eating everything else. Nothing offered to make up for it.

The good is just fantastic! So good we're planning to travel over for another visit. Friendly staff with loads of seating. The desserts are gorgeous too.

Called in here for a coffee and breakfast. Lovely breakfast sandwich which was very tasty and filling. Service very friendly and attentive. Lovely garden at the rear of the cafe.

Yelp
For vegan it is very good ;~). The lunch menu does not start until 12 so we started with a slice of mouse cake and a chocolate covered crisp cake. Both very good. Not as sweet as we normally do in the US and we think that is better. Then after a short walk we had lunch. I got the bean burger with sides of rice and potatoes. My wife got the Ruben with hummus and a salad. Both were very good with plenty to eat. I really liked the spread they put on the bean burger. Our grandkids 3 and 5 just ate off our plates and we all had enough to eat. The staff was very friendly and there were lots of them around to help. ( I think it may have been a training day for the Summer help ) It was a surprise to us to find this place because we remembered it on Somebody feed Phil. So that added to the fine experience. Also the day was nice and pleasant.

Yelp
Delicious healthy food. So worth the trip from Dublin. I could eat every meal here for the rest of my life!

Yelp
Pros: -Decor in the house-turned-business is bright and uplifting. I particularly appreciated the various artists' renditions of the storefront. -Free samples of 3 different products distributed to those waiting in line, and additional samples in the shop area! -Vegan/vegetarian options! Cons: -Long line! -No nutrition facts -- Hummus/Roasted Red Pepper Pitta (~4 euro) Ordered sans cheese. It was a perfect snack--fresh, flavorful, and filling! Come to the US, HP!!

Yelp
Vegan food never tasted so good. Was blown away by this place. I am not restricted to vegetarian/vegan food options but came here after hearing great things & was not lead astray! I got a main dish and two sides and it was plenty of food. Smoothie was smaller than expected (that might be because I was visiting from the US where portion sizes don't exist.) It was such a satisfying meal after doing the Cliff walk from Bray to Greystones (which you should do if you're in the area!) They have a nice assortment of coffee/juices & desserts as well! Bathrooms onsite. Tip: Sit up stairs! Lots of seating and it's very laid back.

Marie B.

Yelp
This wonderful coffee shop/restaurant/store is the perfect place to catch a break. As an added bonus the Happy Pear is Conveniently located near the cliff walk trail connecting Bray and Greystone. It's also right by the light rail. I stopped here for a bite after competing the beautiful easy hike and catching the rail back to Dublin. The Happy Pear is a gold mine for vegan, vegetarian, and health conscious consumers. Sit out front on the sidewalk to watch folks walk by or head to the back gardens for a quieter spot. Be sure to pick up a sweet treat before you go as everything is made in house and delicious!

Krista M.

Yelp
I recently did the walk from Bray to Greystones, with the idea of checking out the town of Greystones and getting a bite to eat after the walk. If you are traveling to Ireland or even if you live there...this place is a must. They have the most AMAZING vegetarian menu. I could not make up my mind on what to order...so I went with the Buddha Bowl. I'm so glad it was exactly what I needed after the walk. It's a great place to get fresh fruits and veggies. They also have delicious pastries-I tried the banana bread. I cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed this part of my trip!

Yelp
I lived for many years in Dublin and for some reason never got the chance to visit The Happy Pear as it's quite far, despite reading their cookbooks and following them on Instagram. I finally got to go with my mum on my birthday and it was worth the journey! We had the Buddha bowel, which had brown rice, dahl, kimchi, cabbage, beetroot, avocado and roast baby potatoes; it was a really big portion but very healthy and filling despite being totally vegan. The dahl was amazing and went perfectly with the brown rice. The prices are very reasonable too, all under €10. They also have other interesting options such as a falafel burger, vegan lasagne, Mexican bowl and a breakfast menu. The coffee here is pretty good too. I'm a coffee lover and have ventured around many of Dublins independent coffee shops, and I can say that I quite liked the coffee here. The cafe itself is pretty big with both plenty of outdoor seating as well as a very spacious indoor seating area upstairs. They have their own shop just beside the cafe selling happy pear branded foods, organic fruit and vegetables, their cookbooks and also some other health food and vegan items such as chia seeds, various types of grains, vegan cheeses etc. The prices are on the higher end due it being all organic, but the quality is good. The atmosphere is casual, and the cafe is bright and lively. Overall, 5/5 for food, coffee, atmosphere and service.

Albane R.

Yelp
This is my favourite vegetarian restaurant. Both savoury and sweet food are superb! It was the best lasagna that I have never eaten. The place is very nice. There is also a small shop with their products. You can also buy their book.

Maria T.

Yelp
The Happy Pear is a great concept and I admire the two lads' passion and drive but it's in danger of becoming a victim of its own success. In both shops the attitude of the staff is really deteriorating. There's an air of superiority that should never be present in the service industry regardless of notoriety or popularity. Time to remind the team together to remind them to leave the attitude at the door!

Brian N.

Yelp
What is there not to love here? A beautiful Irish seaside town, an adorable vegan grocery and cafe, friendly people and delicious food. My daughter had the Buddha bowl, a veritable smorgasbord of vegan fare. A sampler plate of sorts and more than any one person could eat. I had the Vietnamese pumpkin curry. It was fantastic and more than I could eat. We packed them up to go and will be noshing on them in Dublin tonight without a doubt!

Tanya D.

Yelp
On December 12, I emailed the Happy Pear to confirm that the Indulgence Hampers were available and I was told that while the Happiness hampers were sold out, I was assured that the Indulgence Hampers were indeed available. On December 13, I ordered two Indulgence Hampers for two families in Ireland only to discover on Christmas eve, that neither was delivered. All attempts at contacting the Happy Pear have failed. What happened is negligent at best and now appears to be fraud.

Mary Grace D.

Yelp
Such a cute healthy food cafe. The food is all plant-based and absolutely delicious. Prices are on the higher side for a cafe, but the portions are large. I stopped here after doing the Bray-Greystones walk and it was exactly what I needed. Good amount of seating upstairs.

Ellen S.

Yelp
Don't let the long queue out the door put you off, it moves fairly quickly and there's plenty of seating inside (or outside, for the brave) I love the concept of this cafe, healthy, hearty vegan food at affordable prices. Even the biggest carnivores won't have any complaints During lunch you can pick between two types of soup and two main courses. And plenty of different salads for on the side. On this occasion I had a soup and two side salads. The soup was a bit bland and lukewarm which disappointed me, but oh those salads truly made up for it. I might just have a huge plate of salad next time I go. Because I felt like a true glutton I had to have dessert as well, and had a slice of carrotcake. All natural ingredients and gluten free, so no need to feel all that guilty. One of the owners was handing out tasty bites of a chocolate granola bar...whoa, so good!

Petra B.

Yelp
I always meant to go here, but it was always wrong timing. Either to busy or I wasn't hungry or in a hurry. This time friends suggested to go there so I was happy ot oblige. We went on a Friday at around 4:30pm so it was no problem to find seating upstaird. As I wasn't too convinced by the mains and not that hungry yet I went for three salads - if only I had known how huge the portions are. But I managed to finish my plate and even though I was definitely filled, I still felt good - as well knowing it was healthy food. My friends both went for the aubergine bake and loved it. The staff was lovely, easy going and patient with me, trying to find my choice of food. The decor it very suited to the shop and cafe - all rather natural with positive sayings on the wall. I'll definitely be back.

Catarina L.

Yelp
I love this place! Maybe it's because they offer free cake samples when there's a big queue. Or because a lady working here actually hugged me with an extra blanket so I wouldn't be cold while eating outside, but if anything, it just goes to show that some places really live up to the "above and beyond" ethos. Oh, and did I mention the awesome grocery shop they have just beside the café/restaurant? Go there, buy some yumminess, it's worth it. You may recognize some of their products, particularly the sprouts, as they're sold in certain chain stores like Fresh, all across the city. But here you'll find some really delectable vegetables from their farm, and you should take the chance to buy some. We visited for lunch on a bank holiday and got there just as it was starting to get crazy busy. But that didn't deter us and we pressed on. The menus looked good and were good value - they offer various combos, with soups, wraps, salads or hot dishes. We were hungry after a brisk walk from Bray, and we were craving something both healthy and filling. Their food more than ticked the box, plus it was quite tasty. We liked it so much we stayed for some good coffee and a (almost) guilt-free cake. Part of me wishes they'd have a central Dublin location, but I know I'd just be disappointed because it's so good it'd be always overrun. But hey, enjoy the beauty of local products and businesses, right? P.S.: The map marker on the yelp app is wrong and places this business some doors down further away from the train station, so just beware of that.

Ania Ż.

Yelp
I got one of your products in my local supervalue and there is long hair under the cling film. Thats absolutely disgusting view! Please check your production line as that shouldnt have happened at all! I have emailed them and I'm continuously ignored even though I still have the product in my fridge as proof and pictures of it. Not great at all!

Alex C.

Yelp
My friends and I came here because one of our local friends had been raving about it for so long. Three of us went, I being the only vegetarian however, and we all absolutely LOVED it. First of all Greystones is such a nice town to walk around and spend the afternoon in. We sat outside and to our right we could see mountains and to our left water. We quite literally ordered everything on the menu that day and split it between the three of us so we could try it all--highly suggest this strategy since you really don't want to miss anything that they are offering. Of everything we tried my favorite was their take on the veggie burger. All of their cookies and chocolates are amazing as well. Afterwards we walked off the best meal of our lives by doing the cliff walk right around the corner. Also the owners, David and Stephen, are two of the sweetest (and hottest) guys around. We accidentally stumbled into the back area of the grounds where they were holding their staff meeting and they immediately got up to meet us and talk to us.

Sarah S.

Yelp
Have now been here twice. First visit was after doing the Bray to Greystones cliff walk (that is a must do!) and we stopped here for a much needed refuel. I chose a gluten free chocolate tart which was YUM! Serving up great coffee and the staff were lovely. Second visit we drove to Greystones specifically to go here for a healthy treat. It was a beautiful sunny day. Place was jammed with hipsters and families this time all enjoying the sunshine! I just had coffee and a macaroon on this visit. We managed to nab a table outside but I think it was really badly placed between the two doors... Coffee still decent and I enjoyed the healthy treat!

Yelp
Well. If ever there was an oasis of a food establishment, this would be that establishment for sure. The happy pear really couldn't be a happier, more positive place to gorge on some goodness. The food is top quality, nearly totally organic, and so wholesome that it almost feels wrong. Serving the widely-rejoiced Roasted Brown coffee, they succeed in keeping all caffeine connoisseurs happy. Offering a whopping FIVE different types of milk to accompany your cup of Jo, though, well all dairy-phobes can only be left thinking "Is there such thing as too much choice?!" I think non. All-in-all this is a great place, my one criticism would be that a plate-of-joy here does not come cheap -€8.50 for a salad lunch feels a bit like a "chinese burn" to my humble student budget..

Lisa J.

Yelp
The happy pear serves Yummy scrummy homemade food like hummus and roasted red peppers salads and fresh soups and the coffee is just purrfect. As you go into the shop it seems so small but there is tons of seating upstairs and more seating outside. The menu caters for all, there is plenty for vegetarians and i think i noticed gluten free options the last time i was here but can't be sure. There are so many lovely ingredients I don't even miss meat in my meal. They really try to be original with their soups which is a big plus for me as most places just settle for the boring vegetable soup. The portion sizes are quite adequate and they have some specials on the board such as soup and salad for around €7.

Aoife O.

Yelp
The Happy Pear is a natural food cafe, juice bar and fruit'n'veg shop located on Greystones' Main Street. It offers mainly organic and local vegetarian produce and it's on a mission to create 'happier, healthier and more sustainable communities'. However, if you're not all that concerned about the ethics of the business, the only thing you need to know is that The Happy Pear serves delicious food. The salads - butter bean and chickpea, couscous and potato etc - are filling and akin to those in Avoca/Cornucopia. There are usually only two main courses on offer and these alternate on a daily basis. The soups are exotic and creative - think Roasted Red Pepper & Butternut Squash or Thai Cashew Nut & Coconut. If you are interested in where your food comes from, The Happy Pear staff will be glad to talk to you about their suppliers and their ethos. They also offer classes, screenings and special events promoting sustainability and a healthy lifestyle. Don't worry though, you won't be preached at if you're just interested in having a coffee! Oh yeah, it's run by twins hence the name!

Abaigeal D.

Yelp
I first heard about the Happy Pear in a graduate business class (entrepreneurship) at the University College of Dublin. It was during a guest lecture, but the instructor and many classmates had heard of it, been there, and/or met the owners. Everyone raved about the business model, the image, the "emergent" business execution, and other aspects of the company that make The Happy Pear special. I'm from Massachusetts in the U.S., where small farms are finally gaining ground again, local and organic produce have value, people appreciate learning about food, and a wide variety of dining limitations/possibilities are explored everyday (diet restrictions often open doors) through raw, vegan, and other specialized restaurants that thrive in pockets across the state. This, of course, informs my thinking about The Happy Pear. Visiting The Happy Pear, I was impressed by how much they pack into a very tiny footprint in the lovely town of Greystones. Grocery vegetables, dry goods, specialty goods, and sweets line compact shelves that allow bits of room for a simple cash register and a slightly more complex juice bar. In another space about the size of a U.S. Mc-Mansion's smaller closet, they house two counters for a hot bar of foods and sandwiches and another for coffee and pastries. They make an effort to offer items at affordable prices without compromising on ingredients. I think about what might lie ahead for these brothers and their business, but I'll end my review with what I observed: passion for their concept and commitment to their products and customers.

Saira T.

Yelp
Love coming here for delicious vegan options. The Buddha bowl is always yummy. Love going into the shop for fresh organic produce and randomly delicious finds. A little far from where I live but hoping on the dart makes it much easier. Definitely a regular here!

Annie S.

Yelp
Love the Happy Pear, its all about fresh, tasty, high quality and locally sourced products. Its the perfect place if you cautious about your nutrition or have allergies like me. They always have GF and vegan options and the staff is super friendly and always more than happy to talk you through the menu or recommend items. I love their Indian dal and salad mixes and you cannot beat the sweet selection of chocolate cakes or the raw slices etc. We mostly combine the visit to the Happy pear with the Cliff Walk from Greystones to Bray as its the prefect pre walk fuel stop ;) And if you worried that you might get hungry on the way or feel like a picnic half way- the food store next has lots of yummy treats to offer.

Andrew A.

Yelp
Delectable sandwiches in a cute, quaint town. Staff are extremely helpful and kind. They have a little bit of everything but my sandwich was great, even for someone not always keen on dishes advertised as "vegetarian." My wife thoroughly enjoyed her fancy porridge. Seating is plentiful as long as it's not raining, but come before the rush because they can sell out of things.

Brendan S.

Yelp
Greystones is the Okinawa of Ireland. Look around the harbour. Spot the silver surfers, the grey nomads. Licking their soft serve ice-cream and living longer than everywhere else. I think the reason might be the Happy Pear. I felt healthy just reading the menu. Fair play to the handsome pair that run the place: doing handstand push ups to titilate the customers; whatever it takes to keep them flocking back for more, eh! The food is veggie goodness. Tasty dahl, pasta bake, bean salads. But the best part: the cakes. Courgette, lemon and lime. Add to your bucket list. You won't regret. The shop has all the coconut butter, organic lentils, samphire, tahini paste, goats milk butter and organic chocolate a person could ever need. It's not discount retailing, but my body's a temple and I'm worth it, you hear!

Jane D.

Yelp
Oh happy pear... How much I love you. Mums been in charlesland golf club since I was young. So I kinda don't remember Greystones before this place. It wudnt b the same :) The happy pear is the best place eva. Like such yum foods. The salads are epic, hot foods yum, the cakes and stuff are so good.. Even tho your like "will i have a treat? I shouldn't" you don't get half the guilt than if you got a treat anywhere else, cause you know it's all clean food and the sugar is gona be natural like agave or dates etc Another big pro for me is the coffee. Like when you go Costa, star bucks ect and ask what milks they have, ur gona get the standard soya milk and lots of cafes don't even offer dairy free milk. But in the happy pear, you get to choose all the different milks. So you could b in a coconut milk mood, almond milk mood, oat milk mood. You Catch my drift. Like almond milk Capucinnos are usually only a home luxury, but Ya can get them here noooo botha :) Ther food shop next door is always craic to hit after lunch. Hummus, pestos, dips and the like are really tasty. I've never had the juices from the juice bar. Gona add that to my list to try next! I'm sure ther good tho. I've made ther juice recipes from ther cookbook at home and ther top notch. Always have to go home with some salad toppers and wheatgrass. Essential :) Ok gona wrap it up folks, it's kinda a place I cud waffle on for pages about. So go now!!!

Yelp
I am a big fan of David and Stephen and I love their food concept of eat healthier be happier. I went to Graystones for the sunrise and to have a great breakfast at the happy pear today. It was fantastic, i would really suggest that. I had an espresso machiatto and chia pudding and my friend had porridge with lots of seeds and flavours and hot chocolate. The food was delicious and very filling and unbelievably cheap. Then we bought some stuff from their shop and i got their book. And we saw David. He is sooo cool in person and very welcoming and friendly. He even shared his fig with me haha. Overall, I loved the experience and i recommend it to everyone.

Karen B.

Yelp
If you would like to enjoy a leisurely day at the coast, take the train from Dublin to Greystones and be sure to visit The Happy Pear for a bite to eat. Situated in a old building with an outside eating area you can sit in the warm sun and have a bowl of vegetarian soup or try some of the assortment of delicious dishes. You might have to wait in line, but the staff is very efficient and will quickly send you off with a tray of healthy delicious vegetarian delights. Highly recommended by the local folks..it is everything they say and more.

Rachel D.

Yelp
It's been a long held dream of mine as a vegetarian to visit the Happy Pear in Greystones. After a nice long hike from Bray to Greystones we found the Happy Pear and found a gigantic queue to welcome us. We chose what we wanted and waited in line but by the time we got to the top, the dish I wanted was sold out. There is a big sign saying " please tell us if you have any allergies" so I told the server I have a nut allergy. As it turns out, lots of stuff in the Happy Pear has nuts in it, in fact only one dish didn't. So I had an aubergine and cheese bake and my co-diner had a lentil and cauliflower dahl. The dahl was apparently quite bland ( I couldn't taste it because of my allergy) and the star of the dish was the Asian salad. My dish was just ok, nothing special at all. It was a little cold and lacked texture, all the veg were just quite mushy. Maybe we arrived too late at 4 so we should give it another shot. As a vegetarian, I really want to believe in this place so I'll pencil in a second visit.

Alda V.

Yelp
Amazing place to be at ! Amazing vibes , and absolutely in love with the variety of food! Great for vegans and anyone who cares about optimal health. Definitely a place to visit if you're ever in Greystones, Ireland. - Much love from New York !!!

Kirsten B.

Yelp
I always love the vibes and food here! What I ate wasn't my favourite dish, however, there wasn't much choice considering I was having a late lunch on a Sunday. The staff diligently refill your water for you, which I always find is the nicest thing!

Clare M.

Yelp
Worth the journey out to Greystones - extremely tasty and wholesome food. Very reasonable prices. The staff are so friendly and the coffee is great. I've been several times!

Aoife N.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with my mother on Valentine's Day. It was extremely busy, with a queue stretching out the door. While we waited for about 15 mins outside restaurant everyone was given free berry teas and cakes. Between the free goodies and the fun music the time flied. The food was amazing. There was a range of soups, salads and mains, as well as the most divine looking cakes. Portions were huge and very reasonably priced considering the quality. Staff and over all ambiance of cafe was extremely friendly.10/10

Antonio N.

Yelp
Great vegetarian food ever. I really glad to recommend this place! Amazing combination of vegetarian. Perfect taste.

Sarah T.

Yelp
I began following these guys on Twitter almost by accident and before long I was sucked in by the daily photos of stunning sun rises over the Greystones sea front as well as pictorial updates of menu items. Their blog very generously gives the recipes of a lot of their dishes - and desserts! - but I decided that I HAD to see this place for myself. The HP is a food market and vegetarian cafe/deli. They use local, seasonal produce in their shop and menu as much as possible. They also have vegan main course options available and some raw food items, including in their desserts, of which there was an abundance of delicious looking choice. I had a herb crust veg gratin-type main with a massive seed-laden cookie and an Americano for €11.95. It was a very flaversome meal that stood me right up until my late dinner. In fact, I should have saved half the cookie; it was far too big. Not complaining, just stating facts... The staff in both cafe and shop were good for a bit of banter, which I felt gave the place a bit of lively atmosphere. There is plenty of seating in the cafe, be it outside or upstairs. The actual area with the food counter and cash register, however, is small and gets badly crowded very easily. The food shop had the most beautiful looking fruit and vegetables and the prices seemed comparable to any good, local market. The rest of the stock is similar enough to what you'd get in any decent health food store in Dublin city. The HP was well worth a visit, especially given its lovely setting. The range of vegetarian food was a bit different even from all that's available in Dublin city and the choice of desserts, several of which were comparatively healthy options, was near unbeatable.

Yasmin L.

Yelp
Wonderfully charming cafe in Greystones with a unique and infectiously happy atmosphere created by the Flynn twins. As a fan of the lads I took the pilgrimage to Greystones and was not disappointed. The food is so good you don't even realise its vegetarian. I had Sri Lankan curry with a selection of salads and it was beautiful. The pricing is excellent with my meal costing around 15 euro. The adjacent Happy Pear shop was also fantastic offering a huge range of fresh produce as well as their own branded stuff.

Edel M.

Yelp
I visited the Happy Pear on a Sunday afternoon after hearing so many good things about their healthy food. The cafe was particularly busy but we did manage to find a seat upstairs to enjoy our food indoors. There are seats outside but this day was particularly cold and windy! We shared the mushroom chowder, a filo veggie bake and some salads including beetroot and cous cous. The mushroom chowder really stole the show for me. The flavours really surprised me and I would definitely choose that again. For dessert we had a coconut macaroon-really nice but then i love anything with coconut!, "twix"-a healthy take on a twix bar was also delish, and a chocolate mousse cake-yum! i managed to grab a sample of their lemon lime courgette cake and that for me was the best. So disappointed not to have chosen it. Not usually a fan of citrus flavours in dessert and i was afraid of having courgette in a cake but i am happy to admit i was wrong-looking forward to a full slice on my next visit! If you have time take a stroll along the sea front by the harbour as there are some amazing views to take in.

Jessica F.

Yelp
Amazing and delicious food. Highly recommend the cookie and granola. I always went there on Saturdays and there was always enough room to sit right away. The staff is lovely. There are a selection of around 5 salads and a fruit salad. It is also possible to have soup or a pitta bread filled with pesto and vegetables (and cheese if requested ). Everyday we can choose between 2 mains (often between a stew and a bake). Desserts are really healthy and not to sweet. The coffee is also really good. Be sure to stop by their shop.

Elisha C.

Yelp
I really liked the Happy Pear! It's nice to see a vegetarian place for a change. Even though I'm not a full fledged veggie, I do love a good veggie meal. It is really fairly priced too. I had a hummus pitta bread sandwich with some side salad. It was delicious! I'll definitely go back for more.

Mike A.

Yelp
The happy pear guys have created a special and unique atmosphere is their restaurant. From the food, which is delicious and so healthy, to the buzzing atmosphere. When I was there the line went out the door but the lads were going around, talking to their customers and offering samples of some homemade treats. You don't feel like a customer when visiting the restaurant, but more of a friend. I got a coffee after my meal and the barista told me all about the blend and its origins and hat it was roasted by himself. He asked for my personal feedback on it and was genuinely interested in customer feedback. Visiting the happy pear restaurant was probably the most positive experience I've had in an Irish restaurant.

Yelp
I like the humus it says I have to write more so I'm going to give this a four star review instead of a five star

Yelp
Delicious! Being big fans of the cookbook we have wanted to go here for months, so we took the Dart out to Greystones for the day. From the outset we were very impressed- the decor was cute and homely and the atmosphere was lovely and friendly. We had a quick look around the downstairs shop and promised to come back, before moving into the restaurant area to order. It's set up like a buffet of sorts, with a wide variety of salads and sandwiches and soups on offer. I decided on the daily veg soup and the Pitta bread- both were delicious! The soup was thick (but the good kind of thick!) and the pesto was amazing on the Pitta. My friend was less impressed with the Bean Burger, which lacked flavour but her salads made up for it. Afterwards we decided to treat ourselves to a chocolate brownie and all I can say is "wow"- to die for!! All in all a lovely day and will definitely be back! Keep up the good work Happy Pear!

Yelp
Went here first time today as I got the recommendation to go to the Happy Pear! I love Vegi Food and at this place you can go for food, coffee and Gluten free Desserts - all healthy and loads if it organic! Nice!!!

Yelp
I finally made it to famous The Happy Pear on a lovely Spring afternoon! The sunny weather really set the mood for the day, it was a busy lunch hour but the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The menu was varied, with options for soup, a hot main or a falafel pocket with salad. I do wish there has been more salad options, as there were about 4 on offer when I was there: a potato based salad, beetroot salad, sprouts and cabbage salad. I had a salad with a sweet potato/aubergine korma for €8.75. I also had the 54% hot chocolate that would have been amazing if it was a 70%, but when it was served to me in one of their cheerful orange cups I couldn't help but crack a smile. It is a little cosy inside, the tables are small and close together, some of the snooty middle class clientele weren't to my taste, but considering the area, it can't be avoided! I loved all the wooden tables, and the mix n match chairs. Overall, a great spot for an afternoon lunch, perfect location. I'd recommend lunch here before embarking on the infamous Greystones to Bray cliff walk! You can purchase their products in health food stores around Dublin city, as well as their cookbook. Two thumbs up!

Yelp
I stumbled into The Happy Pear after doing the Bray to Greystones Cliff Walk. I've been in Ireland for all of 27 hours and walked about 12 miles today, I needed some food! The Lentil Dahl Buddha Bowl was perfect, just the right balance of protein, carbs, and multi-colored vegetables. The counter staff were extremely nice too. I'll probably go back again before I leave!

Yelp
There is NOTHING not to love about this place. Not that I have found anyway... Apart from the lack of meat, but GET over it. Vegetarian doesn't get better than this. They also do a kick ass coffees, sweet eats and there's a smoothie bar hidden in the back of the attached vegetable shop Its located on Greystones main street and weather permitting have a lovely layout of tables outside or a room full of tables upstairs. As I said there is an organic vegetable shop attached so you can then buy all the fruit and veg from your meal and make some food yourself. The price is even fairly reasonable with small salad plates for €6 and large meals for €8/€9. if you happen to frequent summer music festivals, The Happy Pear also has a lovely little travelling restaurant so you can get your healthy fix there too!

Yelp
"Simply lovely" Stopped for coffee and cake after walking from Bray via the cliff walk. The coffee was excellent which is always a good sign. Sin free cakes available which were amazing and my courgette lemon and lime cake was wonderful. A really nice place
