The staff was pleasant enough and the room was nice and roomy; however, we had several issues that were not addressed sufficiently by management. First. the in-room blow dryer was supposed to be wall-mounted, but instead lay in a cubby unattached and had two large screws sticking out of the base plate. Dangerous if children were around, not to mention amateur for a place charging $895 per night. Second, when we arrived back to the room from an evening out the first night, there was no cold water from the faucet, only scalding hot water. I had to walk to the front desk to request two bottles of water just to brush our teeth. Third, the television was not working on two separate occasions, personnel had to come by troubleshoot. On one of these occasions, the manager came by and stated that their streaming or cable service had made updates and it had to be reset, which was strange because I could see in at least one other room caddy corner to ours that the television was working fine with no apparent issues. Fourth, we requested late check out, and I even confirmed with the front desk before we left for the day that we had late check out; nonetheless, when we returned to the room, we were locked out. It took the front desk two attempts to reset our key card so we could access our luggage, making us late for our rideshare. But to add insult to injury, I left an item of clothing in the room; when the front desk called me to notify me of same, they asked for credit card information to mail the item back to me. Based on all of the nonsense we experienced, and at $895 per night, I requested that they waive the fee. They refused, stating it was "policy", and charged me $42 to mail the item back to me. There are much better options on MVY for this price per night, recommend not to stay at Harborside Inn.
