The In. Itself was lovely with a fabulous atmosphere and location right on the water and right in town, you could walk to everything. Our room was the tiniest room you could imagine. So small no room for a bedside table. The room was old, but the bathroom was brand new and the room was clean. We were in the main part of the original old house, so very steep stairs etc. Beautiful lobby and large sitting area and porch overlooking the water. We didn’t realize it was a timeshare. They also had a nice pool and firepit. Complimentary water, tea and coffee in the lobby. Overall a beautiful place, but for $500 per night I’d expect a better room. Also no food on the premises made it difficult to find food without long waits and large crowds. They did have outside grills for use if you had a big enough refrigerator. Also all rooms have AC and large TV.

We chose the Harborside Inn for our first visit to MV based on location and reviews. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had one of the smaller front rooms, but it was well appointed and quiet. Bed, linens, towels, lighting and toiletries all first-rate. We had one small issue with a noisy a/c unit and it was fixed immediately when we brought it to the attention of staff. All the staff were helpful, warm and professional. The pool and garden area, along with convenient parking for bikes, were also pluses. We would go back for sure.

I cannot say enough about this wonderful resort. The location in Edgartown is absolutely perfect—no need to use your car, as everything is just steps away. The sweeping views of the harbor are truly breathtaking, and the rooms were immaculately clean with gorgeous decor.||The amenities were such a treat: a lovely pool, complimentary daily coffee, cookies and milk, and even s’mores by the fire pits in the evening. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and incredibly accommodating.||This resort exceeded all expectations, and I will definitely be returning for another stay!

The staff was pleasant enough and the room was nice and roomy; however, we had several issues that were not addressed sufficiently by management. First. the in-room blow dryer was supposed to be wall-mounted, but instead lay in a cubby unattached and had two large screws sticking out of the base plate. Dangerous if children were around, not to mention amateur for a place charging $895 per night. Second, when we arrived back to the room from an evening out the first night, there was no cold water from the faucet, only scalding hot water. I had to walk to the front desk to request two bottles of water just to brush our teeth. Third, the television was not working on two separate occasions, personnel had to come by troubleshoot. On one of these occasions, the manager came by and stated that their streaming or cable service had made updates and it had to be reset, which was strange because I could see in at least one other room caddy corner to ours that the television was working fine with no apparent issues. Fourth, we requested late check out, and I even confirmed with the front desk before we left for the day that we had late check out; nonetheless, when we returned to the room, we were locked out. It took the front desk two attempts to reset our key card so we could access our luggage, making us late for our rideshare. But to add insult to injury, I left an item of clothing in the room; when the front desk called me to notify me of same, they asked for credit card information to mail the item back to me. Based on all of the nonsense we experienced, and at $895 per night, I requested that they waive the fee. They refused, stating it was "policy", and charged me $42 to mail the item back to me. There are much better options on MVY for this price per night, recommend not to stay at Harborside Inn.

We stayed 5 nights with our kids and grandkids and it could not have been better. Everyone pays so much attention to the details. All the employees were friendly and helpful. Everything was extremely clean and the grounds were very well maintained. They had a lot of activities for the kids including movies at the pool at night and smores over the fire pits. The kids even went on a tour of the local fudge maker. That being said, its is also a great spot for couples. The location is great - right in the middle of downtown but rooms were very quiet. ||Keep up the good work

Our stay at Harborside in Edgartown was wonderful! The property is gorgeous, directly on the harbor with incredible views. The outdoor space has everything you could want - beautiful landscaping, a large pool, grills and seating for outdoor dining. Our room was lovely and comfortable with high quality linens and furnishings. And the AC was great! The location is perfect, steps from the shops and restaurants of Main Street. The staff at Harborside ate friendly and helpful. The lobby has infused water, coffee and tea - and chocolate chips cookie in the evening! There are many activities, I went to a great yoga class. We had the best vacation and can’t wait to go back. |I have to mention how easy it is to get around the island without a car. The busses run frequently and are free. The bus station is very a short walk from the Harborside. It was so convenient, we didn’t miss having a car at all.

As longtime summer visitors, we can say this year was our best yet. The Inn Keeper and staff provide exceptional service with genuine warmth. When we requested an extra refrigerator, it was installed promptly and stocked with ice upon arrival—those thoughtful touches matter.||Our room was spotless with excellent housekeeping. The special experiences truly set this place apart: live music on the front porch, s'mores by the fire pits at the docks, and cozy movie nights. These create lasting memories beyond just a place to stay.|We'll keep returning to The Harborside Inn until we're "timeless" ourselves! For an authentic Martha's Vineyard experience with exceptional service, this Edgartown gem is unmatched.

This was our third time staying at the Harborside Inn. It really is amazing! The location is picturesque, and the grounds and rooms are immaculate. All of the staff are always very pleasant and helpful with questions. Very easy to walk to many restaurants, harbor cruises, bike rentals, cinema and even the Edgartown Lighthouse. After enjoying the beautiful pool, we love sitting at the firepits at night watching the boats going by. On a scale of 1-10 we give The Harborside Inn a 15.

Yelp
Great location, comfortable room and beautiful views. The negative is the noisy sounds from street and other rooms and I also found one of the front desk staff rude. Edgartown is so quant and fun. This is right on Main Street and near all the shops and restaurants. It also has such a beautiful view of the boats and water. The room was clean and beds comfortable: The walls are thin and I could hear running and walking above my head. We also had a room on the Main Street and there is a loud bar outside our window that closed at 2:00 am. On Saturday night you can hear the people in line and music. Sunday morning they have early morning garbage trucks. I would stay here again due to location and views but perhaps stay on other side of hotel.

Yelp
Check in parking they tell you 3 blocks down the road. Try 6 blocks Milton house first floor rooms are tiny right on the road Nothing offered but 24 hrs coffee Help very cordial, mints on pillows and slippers Very clean close to downtown edgartown where shops restaurants ice cream shops are close Check in park your car in loading zone good luck parking here always full have to drive around one way streets just to find room for your car to check in ....

Yelp
After removing the jacuzzi and sauna, and raising the fees to higher than normal for a timeshare resort, it's clear that all this new money and profits have been wasted. No improvements to the shared kitchen area. And of course, waiting for your room to be ready is made up of guesses and 'I believe...'. We don't know when your room will be ready. It's 1 in the afternoon and we're still just waiting. This place has been more profitable now than in the past decade. Bring back the sauna and jacuzzi.

Yelp
I rented a room for a week, and was terrorized by a group of condo owners, who don't welcome( as well as management), people renting vs people who own for the week. The room was small and very loud

Yelp
What a fabulous stay we had! The staff( Sean, James, and Celine!) were beyond helpful and informative with recommendations on things to do and see while here. The Inn itself was spotless! The location couldn't have been any more conveniently located just steps away from the restaurants and shops and has spectacular harbor views. We would have our morning coffee and afternoon wine out on the deck. We can't wait to come back for another visit!

Yelp
Let's start with the good stuff. The views from the room we had were spectacular. The Edgartown Harbor is on full display and it is a beautiful sight. The room was good sized with a shaded outdoor deck. The bathroom was a bit small. The facility is very conveniently located to all that Edgartown has to offer. The bad, you ask? The property is "shared" with a time share -- Marriott I believe -- and the "owners" are a boisterous bunch. They all seemed to know each other which lent Itself to a heighten noise level. Perhaps we just picked a bad week. Perhaps it's like this all summer long. But, at $430 a night I expected much more for my money. Proceed at your own risk.

Yelp
My best friend had a coworker that couldn't use their timeshare so we ponied up the maintenance fee to stay. I could only stay one night so I didn't utilize many of the Inn's amenities. We stayed in a room with two double beds. They offer a roll away cot for $25 (complimentary if you're during your timeshare slot). Nice room with a fridge and a decent size closet. Bathroom is on the small side, but the stand up shower was nice. Pool outside and a lovely view of the harbor. They have a community kitchen from what I saw with plenty of seating. Plenty of restaurants and shops really close. Parking is a good ways away from the hotel itself, but unless you have mobility issues it isn't bad. My interactions with the front desk was pleasant. They scheduled my cab for me and were incredibly pleasant in general. I'm not sure how much this place is normally. Comparable to places in Nantucket during the height of tourist season I'm sure. A really nice place though.

Yelp
What a delight! From the exceptional location and considerate staff to the amenities and special treats, I can see why people come back year after year - as will I!

Yelp
The Harborside Inn is located in the heart of Edgartown and it is one of the most beautiful things about Edgartown. I have been lucky enough to come here in late June for the last 20 years. The operators of this facility have always put money back into the grounds and the buildings to keep them looking beautiful. From the manicured gardens to the well tended rooms, the Harborside is a wonderful place. There are a variety of available rooms offering a view of the street to views of Edgartown harbor. So whether you are watching your budget or fee like splurging, you have choices. The staff is courteous and attentive and the proximity to shops and restaurants is fantastic. You really don't need a car because walking to town is second Las away and the bus stop is only 10 minutes of a walk. I highly recommend the Harborside inn if you want a wonderful Martha's Vineyard experience in the heart of the most beautiful town on the island (my opinion of course).

Yelp
What a great hotel. Right near the shops on Main St with a beautiful view of the water and Chappaquiddick. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
The room is very small and very expensive. The bathroom door opens a short way and blocks the sink and makes it very uncomfortable to get in and out of the bathroom. The covid has given them the ability to provide poor service, no washcloths, no bed linens changed and no fresh towels. The location is fantastic, but the negatives outweigh the view. You can do better.

Yelp
I love it! We bought one week, upgraded to a second week. Harbor view on the Vineyard? You can't beat it. Some timeshare-experienced people may not like having to leave your room for kitchen facilities, but it makes for a nice community experience. We don't generally vacation with plans to do a lot of cooking. It works for us! I just love the Vineyard and the view. The rest for me is secondary. We look forward to it every year!

Joe W.

Yelp
Great location and friendly staff, but if you're looking for a good night's sleep after a day at the beach, you may be disappointed. The buildings on the Main St. side are close to the nightlife which lasts until about 2 am, then be prepared for very early morning trash pickups and then refrigerated delivery trucks. All this occurs just outside of your window. Parking is offsite and nearly 1/2 mile away. The good news is that they do offer free parking.

CHRISTINE S.

Yelp
What a great experience all around! It begins with the wonderful people working at the front desk... Every single person is kind, warm and beyond helpful! I have to specifically THANK Celine and James for taking such good care of us and helping in so many ways over the weekend! The location is ideal, the rooms are clean, the staff is overly friendly and accommodating and the view is stunning! A perfect place to stay while visiting MV! I've traveled the world and have stayed in many hotels and I highly recommend the Harborside Inn!Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Yelp
The Harborside Inn is located in the heart of Edgartown and it is the only hotel with Waterfront access. My family and I have been going there for the last 20 years. The staff is incredibly friendly and the property and rooms are clean and neat. Step off the property and you are downtown close to restaurants, shops and beautiful scenery. I recommend the Harborside Inn very highly when you go to visit Martha's Vineyard.

Yelp
I just wanted to stop & thank this hotel for canceling my grandma's reservation. Her & I were supposed to take a girl's trip next week but unfortunately my grandma had to have emergency surgery & is unable to travel now. I appreciate the hotel working with us & understanding that things happen. I really hope sometime in the near future my grandma & I can make this trip!

Yelp
We stayed two nights at the Harborside Inn this past week. We had a wonderful time! Our room was on the third floor... no elevator, but it kinda added to the charm of it. The view from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking. It was our first visit to Martha's Vineyard and this hotel is very centrally located in Edgartown. Pros- Great location, friendly staff, Beautiful view and clean. Cons- Rooms are kinda dated, small bathroom with no counterspace, no elevator and they do not have an onsite restaurant. I would stay here again :)

Yelp
I booked a marina view room with king size bed for a few days in July which was my first visit to the Harborside Inn. The Haborside Inn should not be confused with the Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown which is a more upscale hotel. The Harborside rooms are neat and clean but small and the bathroom was so tight I personally had little room to rest on the water closet. The room had a small flat screen TV which was fine and the good AC unit, ceiling fan, small table and chairs. The Harborside is more like a large motel than a Inn and for the pricey 400+ a night room I've had much better on the island but it is a good place to stay if you have a few children and want to be in downtown Edgartown. My only real complaint was the bathroom size and the thickness of the walls and ceiling because you can hear your neighbors walking around. At 400+ a night I probably will find another place to stay not because the Harborside is a bad place but because in my view its not a good value of my money compared to other places in Edgartown. I rated the Harborside with two stars.

Sally R.

Yelp
After renting houses in Edgartown for over 25 years, we decided to make life easier and stay at the Harborside Inn in Edgartown. We couldn't have made a better decision. After a great vacation there last year, we came back this July for a week and loved every minute there. We loved our room overlooking the marina, swimming pool and beautifully manicured gardens and lawns. Our balcony was large and shaded and we enjoyed reading and relaxing there. The hotel's location is perfect, right downtown and close to everything. The very friendly management and staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. We highly recommend the Harborside and will be staying there next year for sure.

Yelp
ASK FOR JIMBO!!! He rocks best bell hop on the market. He physically ran my bags up to my room and gave my dog CPR.

Yelp
Nice place to chill This is a beautiful and updated combo timeshare/hotel in the very heart of Edgartown right on the water. Its ultra charming and old from the 1800's and you cant beat the location. I was lucky enough to get an exchange here for a nice week. Rooms have been updated this year and there is nice bedding a mini fridge and small 19" flat screens. Nicely updated bathrooms on the small side but fine. My room did not have a view but was by one of the front doors and the noise from that was loud, people coming and going tend to slam that door hard and the walls are thin. Also my room was on the front street however the windows are soundproof and I was not bothered by street noise, just the doors. If your an RCI member or owner here you can use the community kitchen and washer/dryers. There are shared fridges and stoves and plenty of everything to cook with. Theres also a semi-heated pool. Daily maid service is nice too. The resort closes 6 months a year in the winter. I would stay here again its a good choice but try to get a room overlooking the harbor with the balcony for the most bang for your bucks. Room Tip: Try to get a room with the balcony views away from the street

Yelp
My 9 year old asked me to post that the pool is not kid friendly because she is not allowed to jump or play "Marco Polo." The walk-in closet made her say ok give 2 . If I were to review the hotel it would get more stars for other features‍

Yelp
Room extremely small but great location. Friendly guests and staff.

Yelp
This is a great deal for Martha's Vineyard, especially right in downtown edgartown. I only knew this because a friend told me, but if you call and ask about their smallest rooms (couldn't find it online), you can get an amazing deal! You're in a great location and the amenities are very adequate, why do you need a big room anyway?! Any they are right on the harbor and have a pool. Will definitely be coming back here.

Yelp
Modest room, looks like it was done over (same with bathrooms). Stayed on 4th floor (be aware, no elevators here!) but boy, what a beautiful view of the harbor. just gorgeous!! Nice pool, lovely grounds. Perfect location. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Percival H.

Yelp
Stayed two nights here last week. Great location and walking distance to everything in Edgartown. You can bike 20 minutes to South Beach and a few others but we took a cab and the bus back. Simple. Rooms were nice and clean. Great service and the staff was very friendly. They have a pool in the courtyard as well. The views of the harbor are amazing. I'm going back for sure!

Yelp
I had visited MV a couple of years back and we bumped into the Harborside because of the amazing view and POOL. We stayed for 3 nights this past weekend and could not have hoped or asked for a better place to stay. I had done some research thru TripAdvisor before booking, reviews are not great. However everything everyone else complained about we did not encounter. Yes there are owners there and yes they have access to kitchens and BBQ's. But hey we were on vacation and I'm pretty sure the last thing any of us (6) wanted was too cook our own meal. Our room faced the street which others had complained about but it never bothered us. By the way I like silence when I sleep and the street noise never bothered me. Beautiful views and relaxation areas...couldn't ask for a better location.

Yelp
DISCOUNT RENTAL AVAILABLE.....I've been coming to the Harborside Inn years before it became a Timeshare with rental units. It's absolutely a "10', view from the 3rd floor balcony ans swimming pool overlooking the harbor and the boats coming in and out. A community kitchen with outdoor barbeque grills, fully supplied, available for some casual meals. The grounds which come close to being a botanical garden make it all heavenly. My unit is a 1 br, king sized bed, balcony overlooking the harbor, July 13th tp July 20th for $2000.. My mail is cc1695@aol.com.First come get the vacation of a life time at a huge discount.

Yelp
We visit Martha's Vineyard three to four times a year and from our experience, this is the worst place that we have stayed. We have stayed here on two separate occasions, and both times we had bad experiences. This past trip, we booked two rooms for two nights and paid the entire amount several months in advance, as required. We were told that one of the parties (in one room) would have to change rooms during the stay. This meant checking out at 11 AM and checking in again in a different room that same afternoon at 4 PM. We were also told that the staff would move our belongings to the new room. Luckily, we chose to take most of the belongings to the other room we booked but we did leave a few items in the room to be moved. None of the items made it to the new room and the staff said they had no recollection of anything being in the room. Good thing we didn't leave all of our items. We checked out the next day and someone in our party forgot their swimming trunks. I called thinking maybe they would have found them -- long shot that didn't pay off. The staff were very rude and not at all helpful or accommodating. It is noisy, and the rooms smell moldy. The location is nice, but there are other choices. We won't be back.
