My view was bad facing a wall the room had somewhat a smoking smell. But room size is big and hot water pressure was good . Very basic hotel so prepare to bring your own tooth brush , there is no mineral water provided u can buy from vending outside . It’s quite good room space for a Hong Kong hotel. Aircon and bedding are good, love the not too soft bed. No noise also . Staff are super friendly and helpful helping us get taxis

The Harbourview YMCA Hong Kong completely exceeded my expectations. I booked it because I wanted to keep costs down without ending up somewhere noisy or run-down, and this hotel absolutely delivered. My Premier Room was newly refurbished, modern, quiet, and had a lovely harbour view. The blackout curtains were perfect, the shower was excellent, and the room felt more like a business hotel than anything “budget.”||The location is great — close to the waterfront, about 10 minutes from the MTR, and an easy walk to the Wan Chai–Tsim Sha Tsui ferry (highly recommend using that instead of the packed Central one). The area felt very safe day and night. Staff were welcoming and professional, and overall the vibe was relaxed and low-key.||The only downside is the bed. It was extremely hard, typical for Hong Kong, but worth noting if you prefer softer mattresses.||I run a Hong Kong travel blog for solo travellers and have stayed in hotels all over the city for decades. For the price, this is one of the strongest mid-range options I’ve found. I’d absolutely stay here again.

the room is quite spacious for hong kong. really clean room and toilet. air con works well. toilet is a little too small but there is still enough space to move around. no water bottles and other toiletries except shampoo and shower gel provided, but there’s a vending machine near the lift where you can purchase anything you might need. location is pretty good - about 7 min walking distance to 2 MTR stations.

I needed a hotel that I can get to/from the airport quickly, within my budget, and harbourview. This hotel checked all thr boxes for me. It's walking distance to the direct bus that goes to the airport (A11). I got a great room with a view that's nice and clean. The service staff were great. I checked-in in the morning, left baggage (free), and did some sightseeing until 4. The breakfast buffet had both western and eastern food. It was not that expensive. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The room did come with some basics like tea/coffee. No water bottles or hairdryer. I don't recall seeing a mini fridge.

Firstly may i say the man calling the hotel 'rubbish' is just a liar, the photos posted also do little to support his accusation either. I was a HK resident several years & also on mainland, this hotel, & for the price & location as well, i can't think off top my head staying anywhere more competetively priced, i stayed Marco Polo's to The Kowloon to Ramada & Empire etc, this is clean, v.big rooms, & i paid a little more for sea view, staff so helpful esp. the desk manager / lobby supervisor on mornings, great english, food and drinks (FOR A HOTEL IN WANCHAI HONG KONG!!!) Were absolutely not bad, obviously 7-11 is cheaper but u pay for convwnience of not having to walk 10 mins. ! There was zero reasons to complain. The windows are quite small sadly (unsure if juat my room), i also got an upgrade. Tell me any other major city paying 4 star hotel at 3 star prices within 1 min. walk of Hyatt & Convention center in the heart of HK island. GREAT SPOT WILL STAY AGAIN when i come back for work

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Harborview Chinese YMCA, Hong Kong – Wonderful stay with warm hospitality Harborview Chinese YMCA in Hong Kong has an excellent location — just steps away from the harbour. You can easily walk to Golden Bauhinia Square and Wan Chai Promenade for a relaxing stroll by the water. It’s also within walking distance to bus stops and the MTR station, making it very convenient to get around the city. As a tourist, you can also walk to the Wan Chai Ferry Pier for a scenic ferry ride to Tsim Sha Tsui — a charming extra attraction. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Nigel, Toby, Tommy, Ansel, and Housekeeper Chu for their kindness and attentiveness during our stay. Though the hotel itself isn’t large, the thoughtful layout makes it feel spacious and comfortable. There’s also a wide variety of food options within a 10-minute walk, from local eateries to international restaurants. I truly appreciated how the team went out of their way to accommodate our family — even upgrading our rooms so we could all stay on the same floor. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and genuinely welcoming place to stay in Hong Kong.

Good hotel in a good location. Rooms are a bit small but fine. The only negative would be the shower in the bath but that’s a minor detail. They don’t give you free water in the rooms so bring your own, although there is a vending machine available. This is to be expected as it is a low cost option for HK.

A clean hotel with a good view of the city across the river/sea.The only down side is that if we wanted amenities we have to buy it from a vending machine on the same floor that only accepts Alipay, WeChat and octopus. We are not from the mainland and just arrived in Hong Kong so we cannot buy anything from it. By amenities, I mean stuff like mineral water, toothbrush.Staff comes to clean everysay at about 10am and room was spacious. Did not get food from the hotel so will not be commenting on that.The hotel is a bit far from the train station but there is a bus stop about 1 min way in front of the hotel that can take us to the train station. It is also walkable to the nearest ferry terminal, about 10mins walk.Recommended to stay
