We had a wonderful experience. Staff was amazing and so so friendly. The location is central to everything, we had beautiful views of the distant scenery as well as Eyre Square from our window. Our room was beautiful and the details were so lovely (especially the Christmas tree- we are still talking about it weeks later!!!!). Beds were super comfortable, room was huge. The breakfast was perfect. Tons of choices, great coffee, everything was delicious and fresh! The hotel was spotless clean and the holiday decor was stunning. Won't even think about another hotel next time we are in Galway, we will be back at the Hardiman!

We had a lovely stay at The Hardiman hotel, which is located in the heart of Galway city. We stayed here as a family of 4 for one night just before Christmas.|We stayed in the James Hardiman suite which was absolutely stunning! I loved the high ceilings and the views over the Christmas markets were amazing. We had a beautiful Christmas tree in our room. We had Dinner in MacNeills which was very enjoyable, the Turkey and ham roast dinner was amazing. The bed was so cosy. We had breakfast to the room the following morning and we absolutely loved it, amazing French toast , pancakes and Eggs Benedict. |I would definitely stay here again.

This is advertised as 4 star (and certainly charges 4 star prices) but our experience was no way reflective of this. We had a gift voucher, which was out of date but which the hotel kindly promised to honour (email of this promise). I gave the voucher number when booking and again presented it at check-in and had no questions from the receptionist. I paid the balance (significant as it was only a top up) on my credit card at check-in. However, the full amount of the room was later deducted from my card and I got a voicemail from a girl at the hotel advising me that the voucher was out of date. She never indicated that the hotel intended to take an additional €250 from my credit card which really annoyed me. A few emails later, and an unfavourable review on the Hardiman's own review platform I was given an apology and a promise of a refund. 5 days later I'm still waiting for the promised refund.|Our room was disappointing - small double bed in a very small room. The room was clean as was the bathroom. The room was dated - huge lamps on beside tables meant no room for phone, book or drink on the bedside table and difficulty accessing the switch for the bathroom light. Like a previous reviewer - our promised (and paid for) bottle of prosecco was not provided.|We had a drink in the downstairs MacNeills bar on Saturday night. |Breakfast was chaotic on Sunday morning - hybrid of table service and self service doesn't work. The food itself was fine - typical hotel breakfast.|The hotel location is great - that's the only great thing about this hotel.

Its A beautiful hotel. Our Bathroom extractor fan was not working. Our main bedroom light was not working. We had to park & walk despite having paid for €30 valet parking. Bedroom was small for €450. Bedroom door was hard to close. We had booked dinner at €40pp We got charged full price and it took forever to get the amount corrected. We where told breakfast was Buffet, we got what only could be described as luke warm from buffet. It was afterwards we got told we could order from a menu. There was no stopper or pepper in the pepper shaker. No salt in the salt shaker. The whole dining room at Breakfast felt chaotic We where not shown where to get toast so didnt have any. On Checkout we got asked yet again for €30 for valet parking despite having paid a total of €480 on arrival and over €120 in the dining room. We where looking forward to making this a more frequent trip, But not entirely sure. The guy did come to park the car, but booking the valet parking was meant to be part of the treat. We could have booked in to any hotel and lugged are cases around with us.

This place was suuuuper nice! And real fancy! I'm not normally one that feels comfortable in classy, high end establishments - but everyone was so nice, welcoming, and friendly. And the room was the nicest hotel room I've ever stayed in! It was so nice! Now, I'm like, dang I could get used to this! I loved it! And now I want to put fancy chairs in my office, I want fancy tea, and I want a robe like they had for me in my room - I loved it! I'm a real fancy man now thanks to the Hardiman! Haha! Next time I'm in Galway I won't stay anywhere else!

I had a wonderful stay at the Hardiman Hotel for business / pleasure. The hotel is very well located with major Galway attractions being very walkable. I had a standard double room which was very spacious. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very large. The room does not have a fridge or AC. We visited in September so the temperature ranged from the high 30s to 50s and the room actually felt toasty at night. The hotel staff were friendly and very nice - our room was not ready when we arrived prior check in so they brought our bags up to our room for us. Our room rate included breakfast which was decent - there was a buffet and you could order a few items from the kitchen. If you are very sensitive to noise, you may not like this hotel. We would hear footsteps above us. However, I would definitely recommend staying at the Hardiman.

Hotel is well placed in the city, rooms nice but bathroom was shabby. Our experience of the restaurant was disappointing as we felt that the kitchen was in disarray as menu food was not available but in fairness your waiter staff did his best, this was on the first night. on the second night we were seated @630 pm and ordered our meal, 35 minutes later we gou our starters and our main meal was 1 hour later and we had to ask for our deserts. Both nights we dined with friends. Our experience of you stay was disappointing.

Went for lunch, the food was okay. The place was lovely and cozy. Busy atmosphere . But... being busy is not a reason to have a dirty restroom on the ground floor. Went to the loo it was for want of a better word, disgusting. No toilet paper in some stalls , smelly overall, full trash can some tissues were on the floor. Hope it'll improve.
