Where to Eat, Stay, and Play in Belfast, Northern Ireland

"It’s all in the name at The Harrison Chambers of Distinction, where owner Melanie Harris has created an offbeat, unique hotel in the leafy Queens Quarter. The Harrison is perfect for design aficionados—each room favors rich color palettes, vintage furniture, and wonderfully forward wallpaper."

This boutique hotel is full of character and our favourite in Belfast. It is family owned/run with excellent staff. christine the manager is just lovely but the whole team went out of their way to make us feel welcome and looked after, especially Jem on reception. |The decor is distinctive and fun. The room was spotless, very spacious, with a comfy bed and great facilities. |The location near the university was ideal. Breakfast was delicious. |Highly recommend.

Hotel is stunning 😍 all of the rooms are beautiful, creative and well designed! All themed around important people to Belfast and there's info on each person so you can find out more! The hotel decor is stunning! Breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and local produce! Staff were absolutely brilliant from check in to check out! Nothing was too much trouble! Staff were polite, friendly and made you feel very welcome! They are very knowledgeable about the hotel and the area! The owner was lovely and very welcoming and spent time with us telling us all about the hotel and how she designed it! She has created a beautiful and quirky place to stay! Thank you to everyone at the chambers of distinction for making our stay so enjoyable 😊

The Harrison is one of the very best hotels I have ever stayed in. Melanie is the most welcoming host, our bedroom (Bronte) was delightful and so comfortable. All the staff went our of their way to make us feel at home. We had delicious cocktails and a light meal in the bar. Breakfast was delicious. |We walked around the nearby Botanic Gardens which were staggeringly beautiful and walked into the city. |Thank you so very much for making our stay so very special

The room was spacious and stunning! Beautiful and thoughtful decor. The warmth from the staff was above and beyond. VERY accommodating. Across the street from the botanical gardens and the Ulster Museum. Such a central location that we walked everywhere during our weekend in Belfast. Much prefer to give my business to a boutique hotel that is the owner's true passion than a corporate giant.

The decor is so quirky, fun and beautifully done throughout. You will love it if you like authors and artists and a unique sense of style. If you are a CS Lewis fan, there is a room themed for him. And the entrance to the breakfast room is a wardrobe leading to magical worlds. Our room and beds were immaculate. The location is close to the beautiful Queens University and Botanical garden, which we didn’t have a chance to visit but would love to come back to see. The hotel staff helped me to book a driver and car tour to the Giants Causeway. The driver was so thoughtful and made sure we saw what we wanted to see and make our train at the same time. The hotel also helped me by serving us breakfast a little earlier than opening time so we could make our tour. Everything about Harrison was the best in service and taste.

What an amazing hotel! Firstly there is secure motorbike parking!|Melanie, the owner, and all the staff are super super friendly and can tell you all about things to do and how to get around. They went out of their way to book restaurants and taxis for us.||The bar is lovely with incredible cocktails. And the hotel itself is so unique, steeped in history and every room is dedicated to a Belfast related famous person and themed around them. ||I would 100% recommend this, will definitely come back and honestly the staff here have kicked off our motorbike tour of NI/Ireland on such a welcoming note. Thank you

A friend and I stopped for coffee this morning. The staff certainly know about customer service. We were able to chat about travel and the hospitality industry. Good coffee and pastries and a very pleasant area to enjoy them.|The ground floor layout has lots of nooks and crannies for guests to enjoy a book or a drink. The decor, in my opinion is unique for a hotel. Lots of bits and pieces which are redolent of a rich grandparents home.|This is something different from "normal" hotels. The Harrison makes a statement and provides an experience to remember.
