Had dinner, joined in the weekly quiz, stayed one night b+b. We received a friendly, warm welcome. Everything we ate was excellent in quality and quantity. Our room was peaceful, and a very generous size. It was spotlessly clean, bed was comfy, cosy bedding, generous beverages tray, hot and powerful shower. A delightful dog friendly Inn, in a beautiful setting. We loved our stay.

Want here for just 1 night, to get away and have to say, this is a great place. Food was tasty (especially the breakfast), the ales are well kept, the rooms are comfortable and well presented. And the staff ...... Natasha looked after us all evening and went above and beyond. Definitely recommend this place!

Went for lunch 2day. Service, menu, ambience and warmth what you'd expect from a traditional British country Inn. We will return again because their's other menu items we want to try. We didn't stay the night just dined. Next time we'll do evening and stay. Thank you staff at Hatchet.

This is a great pub, full of charm and character, and just as impressive from the inside as it is from the outside. The landlord is a great bloke who will tell you about the history of the place if you ask him, and who has plenty of suggestions for local attractions to visit. The food is traditional pub fare and very tasty.

Fantastic country pub, very rural location, log fires, low beams and great food and beer. A very warm welcome, especially from the king Charles

4 of us went and had a fantastic meal today 12/6/25. Excellent and very friendly service, it was lovely to sit and chat with friends and not hear background music. We would highly recommend The Hatchet and we are looking forward to returning.
