The Havannah Vanuatu

If you want to experience heaven, then The Havannah Vanuatu will come pretty close! My husband and I stayed from 6-11 Nov 2024 and we must say it was one of the best places we have ever been to! From the moment you arrive you are greeted with so much warmth, beautiful gardens, serene and quite surroundings and the most divine setting you could ever wish to wind down and relax in.||We were blessed with perfect weather and we stayed in a Waterfront Villa which I would highly recommend. Extremely comfortable, clean and relaxing accommodation tucked away among green foliage and colourful flowers overlooking the calm and turquoise crystal clear water which you can walk straight down to from your room. We had little steps down to the water from the plunge pool. The water is so calm and a perfect temperature for swimming.||The resort is immaculately kept with paths winding through the gardens to the main dining and bar area which overlooks the water. ALL staff working there are the most beautiful people with warm friendly smiles and always a happy greeting. They made us feel so well looked after.||The food.....oh my, it is DELICIOUS!! You won't go hungry that's for sure. There is a different lunch and dinner menu everyday with starters, mains and desserts to choose from. The bar is well stocked with an extensive selection of drinks to satisfy any fancy. Breakfast is also delicious and stays the same menu each day.||You can do as little or as much as you wish whilst staying at this resort and everything is designed to ensure you can relax and enjoy your stay.||Coming from someone who is quite particular about being careful when selecting somewhere to stay and researching the quality of accommodation and services promised, I can honestly say I highly, highly recommend The Havannah and give it a HUGE 5/5 stars. To all the staff, thank you for making our stay so wonderful and unforgettable. Would love to return one day soon.

This was our first time visiting Vanuatu from Australia and we will 100% be back. We were staying on the port villa side of the island for a few nights and decided to go for a drive and passed the Havannah, seeing they did lunches and dinners we drove in planning to have lunch. Upon seeing how beautiful the resort appeared and how helpful and kind the staff were we asked if there was any availability for two nights as that was all we had left. A lagoon pool villa room was available and we thought why not! What a great decision that was it was a perfect two days and I cannot fault the resort in any way. All staff were brilliant and the kindest people we have met, in particular John if I could give that man 10 stars I would. The room was brilliant with views to die for, the staff were unbelievable and their service was second to none. The food breakfast, lunch and dinner were spot on the quality and effort that goes into it astounds me. If I could have that barbecue buffet night on the Wednesday every night after the fire show for the rest of my life I would, perfect! The snorkelling is great right off the shore and the sunset cruise with Marco was awesome, with dolphins swimming alongside the boat for a few minutes. Every woman’s dream! I already want to plan my next trip to the Havannah and bring my family along, a great time was had by myself and my wife. By far the best hotel we have experienced and I wish Australia had the same service when staying at a similar priced place. Magical. If you’re looking for a total breakaway with your special someone, this is it. The staff genuinely care about your welfare and comfort. The food is amazing. The setting can’t be more idyllic. The peace was amazing. From maintenance, to housekeeping, to restaurant, and management, the whole team could not be more welcoming.

My wife and I stayed at The Havannah Resort in January 2024, seeking some much-needed R&R, and we couldn’t have asked for a more tranquil and indulgent getaway.||Positives:||- All-Inclusive Bliss||From the moment we arrived, we were treated to an all-inclusive experience featuring incredible food and drinks. Every meal was a culinary delight, offering generous portions that left us thoroughly satisfied (maybe a bit too much food!). The cocktails and drinks were equally impressive, complementing the resort’s laid-back luxury vibe.||- Exceptional Service||The staff truly elevate The Havannah experience. From the warm welcome upon arrival to the playful, friendly, and attentive service throughout our stay, we felt pampered and cared for every step of the way. Their little cheeky moments added a personal and delightful touch to the experience.||- The Villa||We chose the Deluxe Waterfront Villa. Our villa was nothing short of spectacular. It featured a large private pool with a suspended daybed overlooking the ocean—a perfect spot to soak up the views in complete seclusion. Being the furthest villa from the lobby and restaurant added an extra layer of peace and privacy. The open-plan design was airy and spacious, boasting a king-size bed, a sunken living area, and a luxurious bathroom with all the amenities you could need.||- Exclusive Location||Nestled on the west coast of Efate, about a 45-minute drive from Bauerfield Airport, The Havannah feels miles away from the tourist crowds. This serene location offers a true sense of exclusivity and tranquility, perfect for unwinding in paradise.||- Airport Transfers & The Drive||Getting to The Havannah is an adventure in itself! Vanuatu roads are challenging, with potholes the size of craters and detour tracks formed along the road to navigate around them. Thankfully, The Havannah provides airport transfers with an expert driver who made the journey both safe and entertaining. He knew every pothole and every detour like the back of his hand. Hang on to the Jesus bar—this drive is an adventure sport, and you’ll come to appreciate it as part of the charm of visiting this beautiful island!||Negatives:||While it’s hard to fault The Havannah, it’s worth noting that staying here is not cheap. Compared to other high-end accommodations in the Pacific, such as the Royal Davui in Fiji, The Havannah falls slightly short in terms of comparative value for money. That said, it remains a fabulous choice for a luxurious and peaceful escape.||Final Thoughts:||The Havannah Resort offers a magical blend of exclusivity, relaxation, and indulgence. Whether you’re lounging by your private pool or savoring a gourmet meal under the stars, this is a destination that delivers a truly memorable experience. While it may not be the most cost-effective option in the region, its charm, location, and outstanding service make it a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a romantic and rejuvenating retreat.

Saying at The Havannah was one of the most relaxing holidays I’ve ever had. Stayed in a lagoon pool room which we loved. The staff were so wonderful and attentive, always happy and super helpful can’t praise them enough for making our stay so memorable. The food was so good, everything we ate was delicious. Cocktail hour watching the beautiful sunset was a highlight along with seeing turtles just off the beach while having breakfast. We also did a tour with Arthur which was another highlight, he was sensational would highly recommended it. You can do as much or as little as you like while staying in this stunning location at The Havannah the choice is yours to enjoy the time your way. Hope to return in the near future, thoroughly enjoyed our visit everything was perfect.

Just spent an amazing week at The Havannah and will be booking a return trip, which is something we just don't do. Our room was incredibly comfortable, the staff all beautiful people who made us feel like part of one big family, the snorkelling was next level and the spa one of the best massages I've had. The coral nearby is incredibly healthy and vibrant, with a ridiculous variety of fish. Wonderful to see so many hawksbill turtles all around and we were treated go seeing dugong twice! The marine environment is just thriving.|Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so special.

The team at The Havannah are amazing. They are so welcoming and caring. We were treated like family from the moment we arrived. In the middle of a natural disaster they did everything in their power to make sure we were safe, informed and taken care off. We are forever grateful and cannot speak more highly of all the staff.

We had the best holiday at The Havannah Vanuatu! The service was impeccable. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The scenery is so beautiful and relaxing. The food was amazing! We had a very romantic dinner set up on the beach for our anniversary and that was very special. Loved every bit of our stay.
