The Haven

Please please please save yourself and don’t book this hotel it’s so expensive and not worth the money! The rooms are very old and dated and cramped. There’s nowhere to put your suitcase. The sheets and pillows are unbelievably uncomfortable. My light switch didn’t work instead I had to use a switch on the fan on the ceiling. The bathroom is absolutely tiny and has mould. The restaurant isn’t open in the evening. The spa isn’t open on Sunday for massages. Classes in the studio are at extra cost. The staff are incredibly rude, other than the team that make breakfast who are incredibly sweet. But the woman at reception would frown and be rude every time you asked for anything. It’s a ten/ fifteen minute walk into town. The gym and outdoor hot tub are the only redeeming factors.

I became a member of the hotel to use the facilities- namely: gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi in order to regain my strength. It has been a positive enjoyable rewarding experience. Norberto is my trainer, and is very knowledge on surgical recovery and relevant exercises to improve one’s health. Over the months I have improved exceedingly well, due to his educational training, encouragement and without a doubt his sense of humor! The equipment is well maintained and everything works! Above all - the place is always clean, anytime of day.

Very good location at the beginning of Bajo Boquete. The staff are very friendly and you can work out well in the gym there. After exercising you can lie down in the jacuzzi or enjoy the sauna. The massages are also highly recommended. A great place to relax.

This was an okay hotel. I would not call it luxurious. Room was clean but rather small. Grout in bathroom needed cleaning. Got a facial by Ashley and it was wonderful. Breakfast each morning on the patio was delicious & very filling. Great coffee! It was a little annoying that people use this hotel who are not guests here. They come to use the gym, go to yoga, & use the hot tub. Heads up - the parking lot can get crowded. Location is great, close to town. Wish the restaurant at The Haven offered small meals in the evening.

Had to stay again. Hand caught dry aged Tuna. Handmade scratch ginger shots and juices. On-site fresh pressed nothing added. Top level gourmet food. Handmade Japanese towels, custom made carbon and copper infused pillow top mattresses. Nespresso machines in each room, your own frother on request. Top level imported pottery barn bedding with a unique theme in every room. Hot tubs on all sides. Chill areas to die for. The service is beyond 5 stars. I've stayed everywhere in the world at the nicest 5 star resorts and this place takes the cake. No once we're we given a no when we asked for something special. Whoever said this place isn't luxury has no idea what luxury is. I could go on and on. Such a special place . Just Wow! This place is unbelievable for the price you pay. Stay while you can I doubt the prices will....

What a beautiful small boutique hotel, wonderfully located walking distance to the center of Boquete. Of course there is a wonderful parking lot if you did bring a car. And the incredibly helpful staff is always available to assist in getting one of the very low cost taxis to help get you around. The grounds are so very beautiful and exactly what you would hope for in a rainforest resort. We did not use the spa amenities but our friends did…..massage, facial and treatments….loved them all. Pool and yoga classes did not get used by us but only because we were here for too short a time and there was so much about the area we wanted to experience. There are many wonderful little seating areas around the property to enjoy the visuals of the hillsides around you. The dining was UNBELIEVABLY great. Food was amazing and the presentation was elegant. The staff was not only friendly but also fun and accommodating. There were 5 of us with different likes and timing……Alex and his team made us feel like we were long awaited return clients. The hotel staff was friendly, kind and very helpful as we all had different ideas of the experiences we wanted. The room was fantastic and well appointed as well, including a refrigerator incase you bring wonderful treats from town.

I can’t find enough good things to say about this place – we absolutely loved it. The location is good, just on the edge of Boquete, maybe a 10-15 walk into the main business area. There are a couple of really good and cheap food trucks just 400m away. The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning, with beautiful gardens and landscaping and lots of bird life. Half of the entire place is dedicated to wellness – gym, yoga studio, massage, fitness classes, swimming pool, etc. Our room was amazing – very private with nice outdoor patio seating area. We had a small kitchenette, large bathroom with bath, smart TV, and great Wifi internet. The king-size bed was very comfortable – we had great sleeps and loved waking up to all the bird song outside. The hotel staff were awesome, all very friendly and attentive. We loved the fact that the resort was child free - so quiet and peaceful without screaming, unruly kids. We wish more places were like this!! The breakfast served out on the back lawn was excellent, with lots of tropical fruits. The gym, spread over two levels, was probably one of the best I’ve ever seen in a hotel. The upstairs area is a cardio room with around a dozen high-quality cardio machines, while downstairs is a weight room complete with a full assortment of machine weights, dumbbells and free weights. You can definitely get a full workout in this gym! Overall we had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers looking for a luxurious base for your stay in Boquete.

Beautiful Resort with Spa, Pool and Gym. The only drawback is hair dryer is too old and weak, as well no iron and ironing board in the room.
