"Opened in 2017, Hayes Street Hotel may occupy a modern building in Midtown, but the boutiquelodging has made every effort to highlight the area’s historic past and the local makers who adhere to its traditions. A nod to the city’s former life as one of the country’s busiest printing centers, the lobby features poster art from famed letterpress studio Hatch Show Print, which has created musical renderings for the likes of Led Zeppelin, Elvis Presley, and Loretta Lynn over its 140-year lifespan, while white porch swings invite you to sip a cup of joe from Bongo Java, Nashville’s oldest coffeehouse. Local bourbons, whiskeys, and microbrews make up the menu atthe Hayes Street Bar, and guest rooms favor minimalism with hardwood floors and mint-green accent walls, their clean lines providing a serene backdrop for the city’s myriad pleasures."

Absolutely loved my stay at this hotel in Nashville! The location was perfect—just a short walk to Broadway and all the live music hotspots. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, and the room was spotless, stylish, and super comfortable. The valet, Omari, was AMAZING! I’ve stayed in a few places in Nashville, but this one truly stands out for its mix of Southern hospitality and modern charm. I’ll definitely be back!

Google
Great location, the headboard wasn’t cleaned which felt a little unsanitary. I also have a video that wouldn’t let me upload but every time I shut the bathroom door I had to fight with it to get out and no, it wasn’t locked. The WiFi would not connect to my laptop. The “bar” was closed at 9:30 when we came back to the hotel.

My partner and I stayed for 6 nights and we had a fine stay. The service was really good and I found the front desk super friendly and helpful when I had questions.||The only downsides were that the room was never cleaned during our stay (the bins were small, would have been nice to have clean towels and not enough toilet paper was provided).|Would have been fine for a couple nights, but for a long stay I would have expected a room clean at least once.||The breakfast was nice, but I found it super wasteful how everything was plastic and just put in the bin after. ||Overall, we had a nice stay, it’s just maybe not the best place for a long stay.

We stayed for 5 nights and not once did someone come to clean our room, despite us being gone most days by 10/11 am. We had to take towels and toilet roll from the maids cart any time we saw it in one of the lobbys. The front desk staff weren’t the friendliest except for one older man that was nice the other two we came across were quite rude and annoyed when we’d ask questions. Breakfast is fine but very very basic and they use plastic cups, plates and cutlery which seems really wasteful. The room was nice but would have been nicer if someone came to clean it and replace our towels at least every second day

Google
So this is a difficult review. The hotel is nice, the lobby is nice the bar looks ok, elevators were clean, the room was good but dated and there were deficiencies, sink was slow to drain, toilet was hard to flush, no bathroom fan, the window looked directly in to a parkade and I noticed the windows in the hallway had awful views as well. The a/c was loud like a truck idling. The location of the hotel is pretty good. Overall a good experience but I probably wouldn't stay at this specific hotel again unless the price was right.

Google
Stayed 2 nights, large clean room with good shower, friendly staff, also and another plus was the in room safe and good wifi. Minus was a very limited breakfast options. The hotel is at least 30 minutes walk into downtown but there are good public transport buses (3A &3B) that stop about 2 minutes walk from the hotel that bring you to downtown also lots of bar/restaurants close by.

Google
Nice hotel, room was plenty big good AC and comfortable beds. Ok the noisy side but mostly ok. Breakfast was very limited in options but the quality was good. Says bar is open but very seen it open whilst there. Don't go for the Valet Parking option free parking on the street across from the hotel itself

Google
Hotel is in a nice area with an easy 1.4 mile walk to broadway. The rooms were clean and the parking that folks here complain about wasn't difficult for us. There was parking on the street right in front of the hotel. The breakfast wasn't good, but the rest of the experience was nice.

Yelp
Stayed for a night when in Nashville to see a concert. Nice hotel. Basic yet comfortable. Not overly noisy. Rooms are a bit dimly lit.

Yelp
The hotel was nice enough, location to downtown a quick Lyft away. However, I left a pair of new shoes and was instructed to purchase and send a UPS LABEL so that the hotel would return. Waited..... Finally called and was told they did not receive label. Insisted they check email (gave them date) and it was there. Was told to call UPS and get a pick up order (not previously told this). Paid another 14.00 for pick up. Waited... Called and was told hotel missed pick up and to send another!!!!!! For what fronts as an upscale hotel, management is poor.

Yelp
Location was good. Easy for Lyft to pick us up. Easy walk to restaurants and bars. When housekeeping did come they did a good job. Security seemed good. When we came in after midnight an employee made himself visible so we felt safe. The water in the lobby was empty half of the time of our 4 night stay. Asked if they could refill it and they said no. Coffee was not out 24/7 as we were told. We were not informed that housekeeping was on request only. Seriously? There was only a bathroom trashcan and it was so tiny that every day it was overflowing. Fitness center was extremely small and the treadmill was not working. Employee working at desk did not know the area when asked about certain attractions and restaurants.

Yelp
Well we checked out of our other hotel to get a little closer to our daughter's place. I guess this place is fair for the price we paid . The room just does not give me the clean feeling though. When things are run down or inoperative I assume the budget does not allow for proper cleaning. The breakfast is just breads and parking is $43 plus tip. I wish we would not have checked out of the other hotel. Also the window blinds will not open.

Yelp
Wow, reviews for this place are all over the place. I find it highly unusual. That being said, we arrived late and chose this hotel, because it was pet friendly. Like the other reviews mention, there's a hefty valet parking fee and there's no self-parking. At least the valet attendant did indicate that there was a lot cheaper parking at the hospital next door. We unloaded and then parked at the hospital. Check-in was easy and the front lobby was nice, but nothing to rave about. A few other reviews mentioned rude staff. But we didn't experience this however, I wouldn't say we experienced a professional quality or level of customer service either. I felt we were just being "processed." Now we did arrived late and maybe the night shift isn't under the same of scrutiny as the day shift when it comes to providing customer service. Regardless, it's an area that management may want to examine. Our room was OK. A couple other reviews mentioned low water pressure and that it was hard to adjust the temperature. We experienced the same, but I don't think it was that difficult to set a comfortable water temperature. The window to our room opened to the parking ramp. So you definitely don't want to leave your curtains wide open without being decently dressed. Also, this hotel is amidst an area with lots of high-rise construction going on in numerous directions. As of early 2024, you need to expect to encounter noise! I was told most have been going for over a year and they were just breaking ground on a new building next door. The price wasn't too bad considering that other hotels in the area were a lot more pricey. There's a lot food and bar options within a short walk. Right next door is a Mexican restaurant and a fast food place a couple blocks away that is open late. Inside, they have a small bar with a limited selection. If the bar is closed, the front desk can help you with buying a can of beer. No real complaints about this place other than the parking fees.

Yelp
This place is basically one step above a motel. Nobody is going to help you bring your stuff to your room. Thin walls, loud neighbors, the saddest included breakfast I've ever had, a hard uncomfortable mattress, and no blinds in the room, just the sheerest possible curtain that blocks zero light. If I hadn't prepaid the whole stay I probably would've left and went somewhere nicer.

Yelp
stayed here for 1 night during the week and was so happy with it! first off, its a great location. its quiet, but still close enough to bars, and restaurants and other walkable tourist areas. the water pressure was good, AC was pumping, WIFI worked and beds were comfy. i had the king size bed & a refrigerater in my room. lobby is kinda full with other people, but plenty of couches and chairs to lounge on, along with a bar thats open thurs to sunday. PS free breakfast and juices and coffee every morning. checking in was super easy too.

Yelp
The check-in lady was nice, until I made a joke about "climate change" being weather. At least the manager laughed at my joke. We haven't slept yet so I can't tell ya how good or how bad the bed is. The shower was the WORST I've ever had! To get the water pressure strong enough to wash off soap, the water is literally scalding. To get the water cool enough so it doesn't scald me, the pressure is literally a trickle. All I could do is get a washcloth wet and sponge bathe myself. :(( My skin turned beet red just trying to adjust the water temp and pressure. :-O There is no microwave oven in the room. There was a big spider in our bed. Our next door neighbors are screaming and laughing at the tops of their lungs and playing music loud enough to wake the dead. The valet parking is $40 a day (yikes!). The 'breakfast' is grab and go. :/ We paid $200 for one night for this?? Oh my. All this crap I'm complaining about and all the owner of the motel responds to is the valet parking fee??!! REALLY?!!! Down to ONE star now!! :((((

Yelp
I stayed for a night over the weekend and wasn't the most impressed with this hotel. Online it looks very luxurious but it misses on a couple of quality details. The bedding and pillows were thin, the curtains lack privacy, and the walls are very thin- I was awoken in the middle of a night to a couple having an argument. There was also a sewage smell that would come and go periodically. The breakfast was also lacking in comparison to breakfast provided by neighboring hotel chains. When I had gone down it consisted of breakfast bars, oatmeal, hardboiled eggs and coffee. For some this could be fine, but I had different expectations from other hotels I have visited. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and the location is extremely convenient to downtown which made ubering relatively easy as well as cheaper. The area was also easy to navigate by car as well. However, unless there are substantial improvements in some of the areas above. I don't think that I will revisit this hotel.

Yelp
Stayed here for a few days when we were in town to see a show (not Taylor Swift... though it was at the same time.). There was construction across the street (not the Hayes' fault, and they were able to switch us to another room on the opposite side of the hotel for our last night. Never made it for the complementary breakfast, but they do offer it, and didn't have a drink in the lobby bar, but that is there as well. The seating in the lobby and just outside looks nice and cozy, and the hotel is dog friendly, though we didn't bring a pooch and I didn't see any while I was there. The room itself is a pretty standard upper-mid range room. We had a nice and comfortable king bed, the shower tub was pretty standard. Overall, it was pretty much on point for what we were expecting for what we paid.

Jan T.

Yelp
We, and other people in our group, had NO COLD water all three nights. The shower water was scalding hot! And who wants to drink hot water? No one seemed to care, never an apology, and no reduction in our bill even though I asked. I agree with another review that the breakfast was pitiful. And an area of the ceiling was peeling off in the room of one of our group. There are better places to stay.

Yelp
Had a 5-night stay ending Saturday morning. I think the 3.5 this place is averaging is exactly right but I'll round up to 4 stars. They're near Music Row, $10 Uber to East Nashville or Rudy's Jazz Club, pretty nice area. Yea the $42 (plus tax) for overnight parking is a tad steep. They're significantly less expensive that other places in the area, the hotel has the "boutique vibe" with cool common spaces and nice, funky (and very clean) rooms. The continental breakfast is pretty light: protein bars, apples/oranges and bagels and juice. My biggest issue is with the treatment. The red-headed male valet on Friday was ... surly is the best word. I'm a good tipper (that rate of $42 would get a 10 when I picked up) but I'm I'm not tipping to drop off AND pick up, so when I say "have a good evening" to the guy, a grunt and an eye roll isn't what should happen whether or not I'm shoving money in his hand. And my check-in the immediate first impression came like this: I'm there at 1:55 PM on Monday (yes, check in is at 3:00 so I most definitely WAS early.) I ask if my room might possibly be ready and without checking a screen or calling housekeeping, she says for $25 she can do an early check in. (At least fake like you're checking before trying to stick me for an up charge.) Passed on that. Came back at 3:15 and my room STILL isn't ready and when I asked (same clerk) how the $25 would have worked to get me into a room early since my room isn't ready now, she ignores the question and asks me to have a seat and she'll grab me when the room is ready. That's the first impression you want to give a guest? It's got all the pieces to be 5-star (great AC, clean comfy rooms, proximity to everything I want) but my only interactions with staff left me wanting more (including asking someone on day two if there was a reason that a turned-off carpet dryer (had run a couple days before) was sitting in the hallway after 3 days being off. It was still there when I checked out). When I'm back from Chicago I'll probably try them again but too many more trips like this one and I'll be looking elsewhere.

Brian T.

Yelp
Get better rates than website on Hotwire and Hotel Tonight. One reason rates are so good is construction across the street. Normally you can check in early for $25 extra. Go next door to Las Palmas Mexican and spend that money on Margaritas.

Yelp
I found this hotel on Hotels.com while searching for a place to stay for our visit to the Music City Bowl. The location is a block off of Broadway around 19th St and is in the Midtown/Music Row area. There are plenty of restaurants and bars/taverns in the area to dine at and visit while staying here. The valet parking is a tight fit if you have a large vehicle. The charge was $34/night. Parking is a premium in this area and if you consider that part of your hotel room cost, it is not really alot. The price of the room is "artificially" higher because of the state and local hotel tourist tax. You will see this on your receipt. If you arrive between 10a-12p, when most people are checking out, you may be able to take advantage of one of the 8 or so free street spaces on Hayes St right in front of the hotel. For one night, we were able to do this and could see our car from our room window. If you valet, you get unlimited in/out privileges. If you use the street, once you decide to drive somewhere you will most likely not get the space back. The check-in process was quick and there are luggage carts available. Our room was clean, had a clean bathroom and was functional for what we needed. If you are an adult in the Nashville area you do not spend much time in your hotel anyway. The hotel room could have used a microwave to be able to reheat some items from dinner the night before, however, there is a microwave at the bar downstairs. There was a small coffee maker and a "dorm" fridge. There is a hotel bar and plenty of seating and swings to sit in in the lobby area. The bar hours are posted in the lobby. There is a snack-style breakfast offered with bagels, oatmeal, Nutri Grain bars and a few other items. It would have been nice to have more than just one type of fruit offered (apples only) and maybe some cartons of milk and the single-serve cereal for those of us that do not eat bagels, muffins, granola bars, etc. For the affordable price, I wouldn't expect any hot foods just maybe some more choices of the prepackaged items and fruit. There is a large hospital nearby so you may be awakened by some sires form incoming ambulances but other than that, there is not a lot of street traffic and the rooms are relatively quiet at night. Overall, a decent experience. Nothing exceptional but a functional, affordable hotel in a convenient location. If the price was comparable and competitive, I would stay here again.

Yelp
Horrible customer service , don't go here when staying in Nashville the front clerks are very rude and making fun of their customers after I waited 4 hours to get into my room they continued to laugh an make jokes . Also construction going on all around the establishment so good luck trying to sleep when they start before 4 am .

Ryan G.

Yelp
There was no wifi the entire time while here, bugs in light fixtures , holes in furniture in room, scratches on walls and frames, holes in duvet covers, and not enough storage for clothes in rooms. The Air conditioning units in room are all leaking on the outside and looks like it hasn't been attended to ,a simple pressure washing would take care of that. The lock in the bathroom did not work, the screws in the bathroom were all loose on the shower curtain rod, the handicap accessible supports were loose, the accesible shower head was very loose ,and the bath tub spout where the actual water comes out moves at least 1 inch in each direction it was also very loose . KILZ can not cover up the black mold in the bathroom or the likelyhood of it ,especially for immune suppressed people. Also be prepared to pay for parking pretty much anywhere near here. While it looks nice it seems to be surface level bougie. The breakfast consists of bagels, boiled egg, cereal and a few drink assortments (apple, orange, teas, and coffee - with no option for decaf) for plant based people there are no oatmilk, soy milk or other non dairy options for breakfast , the bar is closed Monday and Tuesday so if you want to enjoy a nite cap expect to drive and or walk at least half a mile to the nearest bar. The trash cans have no trash bags in them, the complimentary bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and body wash are small and disappointingly so. To summarize high expectations for the price and the delivery in said expectations fell incredibly short, an unfortunate occurrence .

Yelp
Hotel is modern with a cool vibe. Just not kept up well. The sink in our bathroom was cracked. My wife tried to unplug her hairdryer and the socket pulled out of the wall. There were some tile issues, and what seems like an art thief stole a painting from the bathroom wall leaving only the hooks behind lol. The real reason I am writing this review is because there is major construction going on right across the street meaning you will have a jackhammer wake-up call at 7am whether you want it or not. Wish someone would have told us this before we booked. I wanted to hopefully save others the headache.

Kristin L.

Yelp
Still no refund in my account, it's been 6 days since I booked and cancelled. I called again this morning and was this time around it can take 15 days!!! How is this not deceiving customers?

Yelp
Love this place! I checked in and had issues with our bathroom Sink draining. Immediately we called down and someone came up immediately! Just a FYI .. we had no idea how sink worked! If your sink is closed hit it once and it will pop up and drain correctly! This place was great! Room had a lot of natural sunlights got! We had a huge side window! The room, bath and bed was clean! The bed was so comfortable! The downstairs ground level has a free breakfast, bagels, and fruits! The bartender downstairs is Sheridan! She is great! She will tell you all the hot spots to go to in town! She is very outgoing and very efficient at her job! She made our visit very pleasant! I love this place we had a lot of fun!

Chef J.

Yelp
The hotel room itself was nice and overall clean... but the woman at the front desk was incredibly rude for no reason before I even asked to check in. I watched her do it to multiple guests waiting to check in as well. The complimentary breakfast is just oatmeal and bagels.
google avatar

Kathy B.

Yelp
Stayed here for a few days on our road trip! The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, valet was prompt and helpful. The bartender was super fun to talk to as well. She shared with us some fun places to try out while we were there. Definitely would go back!

Yelp
Valet and hotel do NOT communicate!!! Came in late one night and had to valet my own car. Was told to give keys to front desk people cause valet was closed. Got up the next morning to check out and no one could find my keys. The valet basically shrugged his shoulders at me, the front desk said to ask the valet and they'd call the valet manager. Stood in the lobby for 50 minutes with all of my bags going back in forth with the valet and front desk and no one is sensing any urgency in the fact they lost my keys. Eventually I believe a hotel manager came up and looked for them and they were in the top drawer of the front desk where anyone could've just picked them up. Not in the office you can clearly see, not tucked back in the cabinet, just out in the open first thing you see when the drawer opens. Very disappointed with their respect towards customers and their obviously important items??? They didn't even apologize just "here you go" and checkout was 40 minutes ago. Won't be back.

Yelp
Wow! I love this place! This is officially my go-to hotel when I'm in Nashville. The spot is perfectly located to a short Uber anywhere you'd want to go. The staff is really friendly and kind. Everything is clean, the sheets, towels, bathrooms, rooms, lobby, gym, etc! I've never stayed when the bar has been open, but it looks fairly stocked + there are plenty of bars a short walking distance from the hotel. I didn't ever engage with the valet because I didn't have a car, but they were friendly every time I went out to get my Uber. Overall, I can't recommend this place enough and would suggest you select it for all of your Nashville trips!!!

Kohl M.

Yelp
This was the worst night's sleep I have ever had. This hotel fell short in every aspect. The biggest being that the noise from construction across the street began before 4 a.m. I am not a light sleeper by any means and getting any rest was IMPOSSIBLE! The "breakfast" is laughable. The options in total were oatmeal, bagel, hard boiled egg, packaged banana muffin.
google avatar

Candice F.

Yelp
Very disappointing stay. My room was located in front of hotel where construction was going on all night. My ac was leaking water in room. It had a smell in my room..continental breakfast was a joke for the money u spending to stay there

Pat S.

Yelp
After making reservations through Vanderbilt Hospital (which is across the street), I called the Hayes Street reservation desk to ask a couple of questions. The hotel reservations clerk was so rude and unhelpful I would have cancelled if it wasn't so close to the hospital. Hopefully our actual stay will be better. I very seldom write a bad review but hopefully someone in the hotel will read this and let their people know, a little courtesy and patience goes a long way!

Jimmy S.

Yelp
Great boutique hotel. Clean, and nice decor. They charge $42 for valet parking but I parked in a pat lot across the street for $20. on-street is also available and free from 6:00 pm to 8:00 am. could have done that, but with the lot, I could see my car from my room. Continental breakfast included bagels, pastries, boiled eggs, oatmeal, fruit and drinks to get us on our way. Friendly staff. Nice soft towels. Construction across the street did wake me up way too early.

Tamar T.

Yelp
I arrived to Nashville at The Hayes Street Hotel to find they had construction going on all around and across the street from their hotel. Why not advise your customers of that? I didn't travel from NYC to stay somewhere, not to my liking. I tried calling the hotel several times to the hotel to cancel my stay, but no one at the front desk EVER answered. I tried canceling through Expedia but was unable to due to the same day. I was advised to contact the hotel. I never checked into this hotel and was still charged $831.00 for a 4 day stay. I would have never minded paying a cancelation fee, but to flat out charge the full stay is ridiculous, especially with arriving at a place that was not advertised as construction being done all around their location. The parking lot is 6 had a Tahoe that I didn't trust parking in their lot let alone their valet. This place is misleading when it comes to what's actually going on or was going on at that time. I would advise anyone who's thinking about staying here to ask questions about the location just because it's downtown doesn't make it worth it. Because I picked downtown to enjoy the festivities and this wasn't what I expected. Read the reviews and dont go by the pictures. This hotel is across the street from up and coming apartment buildings it's a two way street that should be a one way. The drive up is tiny NO CAR can drive up at all. Bad business practices.

Yelp
Had a nice stay at the Hayes recently. Came here for my friend's wedding over the weekend, and it was fantastic. It was also super close to my favorite hot chicken place: Hattie B's!! Only a 4 minute walk! What can get better than that?! The rooms have very thin walls though, I was able to hear the man next door coughing all night, and I was able to hear the elevator noise every time it was being used, which was strange because our room was located very far down the hall. Just some things to take into consideration when booking for your accommodations. However, we found the Hayes was the most affordable compared to the other hotels we were looking into.

Yelp
Overall, this is a solid hotel, but the experience was not the greatest. I will dedicate one paragraph to the positives and one to the negatives. My wife and I chose this hotel for the competitive fees. The pet fee was only $40 per stay and the parking was only $15 per day. It was in the West end location that we were looking for, only a two or three minute walk to Hattie B's, and the nightly rate was reasonable, although I got a much better rate booking on Priceline. It was an extremely noisy hotel, which made it difficult to get a full night of uninterrupted sleep. The walls just seemed to be paper thin. I heard other guests slamming their doors at 4am. I heard the elevator quite often, even though we were toward the end of the hallway. Worst of all, one night a car(s) alarm(s) went off at least 6 times. The parking deck is attached to the hotel and very close to the rooms. Usually I would bring up a complaint to management first, but I don't think anyone could have done anything to remedy these issues. I feel like it's just inherent to the design and layout of the hotel and parking structure. Also the person who checked me out didn't ask me if I enjoyed my stay. I am still giving 4 stars because of the overall value, plus my wife's sleep was not interrupted much, just myself and the dog.

Yelp
Had a nice stay at this boutique hotel. Clean and quiet. Check in was fast and the receptionist was nice. They have coffee, tea, and water in the lobby right next to the microwave and plastic utensils. Score!!

Yelp
Heather was a great bartender!! She talked to everyone at the bar and was very quick getting your drinks to you. Very sweet woman!!

Yelp
If you are booking this hotel online, BEWARE! The hotel's policy will not grant any exceptions to the cancellation policy, even if the extenuating circumstances are medically related and completely beyond your control. Yes, I understand company policies. Yes, I know there's a risk when using online services, in this case, booking.com. What I was hoping for was a small act of compassion at a time where my family could benefit from my $600 of hard-earned money. My grandmother has had a massive heart attack. I am going to be unable to make the Nashville trip, as my family needs my assistance. I have given over a week's notice, and was offered an option to plead my case... The case was denied. Based on the surrounding circumstances, I find that very disheartening. UPDATE as of 9/24/18: I've never heard back from management, and I've never seen any offer of a refund of any type.
google avatar

Susan H.

Yelp
Update on my review. Upon check out I found the hotel did not charge me for early check in. Unfortunately the management did not think it necessary to call my room and apologize so my review still stands. Their customer service needs serious improvement.
google avatar

Ken K.

Yelp
STAY AWAY!! The hotel is WAY overpriced for the lack of amenities. However, even the rate was better, I would never recommend this place. We were forced to stay here for a tournament and FIFTEEN cars were broken into on Friday night. The girl working the front desk told us this hasn't happened before, but that is clearly a lie. Looking through other reviews, this happens quite often at this hotel. The good of the location does not outweigh the bad of the price, the lack of amenities and the high probability that your car will get broken into. If the owners installed lights and cameras throughout the garage, locked the back fence where the criminals got in and just generally cared about their guests, maybe this place would be ok.

Yelp
My squad and I enjoyed our stay at The Hayes for a bachlorette weekend. It took us awhile to find a place that was in a convenient location and price point(due to it being the weekend before the CMAs) but we were satisfied with our choice. The hotel lobby is very inviting and decorated tastefully. We spent a few hrs just hanging out on the comfy couches on departure day. They have games! There was a continental breakfast available during the weekend but nothing set up on Monday morning which was odd. Our room, including the bathroom was spotless. The beds were firm, just how I like. We slept very well after long nights out. The bathroom had all the standard amenities and the shower pressure was amazing. The only con I can think of is the lack of lighting. The room was pretty dim even with all the available lights turned on. We ubered it everywhere and the rides never exceeded 10 minutes. Great location! Also walking distance to the incredible Hattie Bs. I would not hesitate to book The Hayes again.

Yelp
From Cali and Loved this Hotel stayed there sept 1-6 2021. Far away from the noise on Broadway but close enough to get to it. Its in Midtown where a lot of restaurants and bars are located. Will stay here again.

Yelp
This is a reply to the GM answer to my review. No the police did not agree with you as you would no let them or me see the video and your maintenance guy could not pull up the IT info of who was in our room. Yes the room was broken into while we were there. You did not refund any money or offer another room. I did report it to AAA and will tell everyone I can!!! You did not handle this correctly. I have never had anything stolen ever!! We have been on multiple vacations. Thanks to the nashville police fir being so awesome!! Thank you for nothing. Niceness goes a long way!!!

Yelp
The only thing earning this place a 2 star was the kind staff and that it was relatively clean. They need to decide what they are and charge accordingly. The photoshopped pictures and nighty rate give the impression of a higher end hotel. What you actually get is something matched to a motel 6. The noise from the lobby and conversations on the ground level patio are easily heard on the 5th floor. You get one bar of soap for both the sink and the shower, one shampoo/conditioner, and no lotion. Either put the multi use pump bottles of soap in the shower like most other hotels or give a bar of body soap for the shower and a bar of hand soap for the sink. The toilet didn't flush, the wallpaper was peeling, and the shower flooded the bathroom no matter which way the head and curtain was oriented. Parking is a mess, you either pay 30$ a night to park across the street in a construction zone or 40$+tip a night for valet. Again, I'd expect it and be ok with it from a higher end hotel but already paying a premium rate for what is a less put together holiday inn makes this a slap in the face. Either drop your rates and stop giving guests false expectations or step your game up and provide the accommodations that you charge for.

Yelp
Love this place! But I will have to say the reason I love this place is because of Sparrow, she works at the front desk and she is a GREAT employee. She really went out of her way and made sure we were taken care of on this whole trip. And gave a great recommendation of places to visit in Nashville. The hotel is very clean. They have great breakfast in the am & the bartender at the bar is great!! If you're staying in Nashville this is a great spot to stay. It has great employees and close to midtown bars and broadway and good food spots. Close to everything

Yelp
I haven't stayed there yet but I had an issue with my reservation somehow getting canceled (not their fault) and the gentleman I spoke with (Daniel) was very professional and got the whole situation taken care of on his end for us. His customer service went above and beyond what it could have been.

Yelp
This was a decent hotel that had a bar but no swimming pool. The location of the hotel is fantastic and is right in a prime spot with a lot of great places around it. The only negatives were that the toilet just didn't flush properly and they only had one ice machine that was located on the 4th floor. The bar area, patio and lounge area seemed to stay pretty busy during my stay and then they also offered a decent breakfast spread every morning. The "gym" was squeezed really tightly into one small space. Overall location location location along with a better price than most of the other nearby hotels really makes this place stand out as a good choice in the area.

Yelp
Horrible experience. I tried getting water from the drink station and it was out of water two times and they told me I needed to purchase water when there is a complimentary watering station right there, that they were just too lazy to fill.

Yelp
This place is perfectly located near downtown Nashville! It worked out for us great and I'm only giving four stars because of two things, first, they had a reservation incorrect we had booked a room with a king bed and they told me "no, our reservation was for a queen..." upon checking out, I showed them my confirmation email and they were kind enough to compensate us by not charging us the $32 per day parking which was awesome! Also, they really do need new beds they're very uncomfortable. The room was simple, what we needed...in all I would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Overall this was a nice place to stay. The rooms were clean and seemed newly renovated though on the smaller side, but that's what I would expect for a city hotel. During our summer visit there was also a lively lobby bar that had music Friday night and a nice sitting area with chairs outside. Location is great as long as you're okay ubering to Broadway but I preferred it that way. There are still great restaurants and bars in the area within a 5 minute walk. One complaint is that the room doors were heavy and make for very loud slamming especially at 3am when people seemed to be coming back from the bar.

Yelp
If it's possible for a "boutique" Hotel to be generic, this is it. Rooms are on small side, poorly lit, with virtually no closet space ( there's a nook with three hangars and no door). So if you have more than one person or traveling for business and need to hang up clothes...not happening. Bathroom tiny soap and no extra TP so had to search for a housekeeper and steal stuff off the cart. TP and soap never replaced. Small breakfast included : bagels, hard boiled eggs, cereal and fruit. Had to ask if it's better to save money and stay at a Holiday Inn Express or spend more to stay at a higher end place. Update: got a generic reply from the generic hotel. Looking through the other reviews looks like same evaluation as mine.

Yelp
I had a wonderful three night stay at the Hayes Street Hotel and would stay here again! I visited Hayes Street on a work trip where the office was located in the Gulch. It was a quick Uber/Lyft ride to the office and within the daily hotel spend limit so I booked based on other good reviews. I'm glad I did! The lobby is decorated well with Hatch Show prints on the walls, comfy couches and chairs to sit and enjoy local Bongo coffee and a cute swing that's great for photos! Being that the hotel itself isn't huge with only 105 rooms, their lobby was a great size and welcoming for guests as there were always a handful of folks congregated enjoying coffee or drinks from the bar, depending on the time of day! They also have a cute little patio area off the lobby, which is great for warm weather. The room itself was perfect for me! A comfy queen bed with plenty of room to fire up the laptop when working. A good size TV, a clean and updated bathroom and fast wifi included! AND, if I hadn't flown in I could've brought my pup - for free! Pretty unheard of, right? Usually hotels will nickel and dime you for bringing a pet but not Hayes! That's pet friendly to the next level. The complimentary breakfast from 6am-10am was solid. There was a generous spread of items including pastries, bagels, toast, cereal, hard boiled eggs, etc. Nothing special but there is something for every taste! And endless cups of Bongo coffee is a great perk! This location is perfect for any visitor because getting around is a quick and inexpensive Uber/Lyft ride!

Yelp
Good afternoon, I occupied room 415 of Hayes Street Hotel 12/08-12/09/21. While checking out, the desk clerk name Hannah was rude, disrespectful, and refused to give me a receipt. All paying customers should receive a receipt. In addition, it's very unprofessional for customer service agents to not respond to customers questions or concerns. Instead, Hannah stated she been in customer service for 10 years and she could care less what I think. Very shameful customer service, and it is very unlikely I would stay here again or recommend. Respectfully, Malinda

Yelp
Overall, this hotel felt dingy and not on par with what I expected for the price, which didn't include parking. We paid to park off-site across the street in a dark parking lot where we worried about our rental car. The immediate area didn't feel very safe. The room wasn't maintained very well. The wallpaper in our room was held up with duck tape. Blinds were broken and walls poorly insulated. The a/c unit looked like it was falling off the wall. The alarm clock was set to the wrong time and couldn't be changed. Not guest ready! The breakfast consisted of prepackaged pastries. Wish I had booked somewhere else. The lobby did look nice and there is a bar open till 10PM. We opted not to go out of principal, as I didn't particularly want to spend any more money here. Very disappointing.
