The Headless Baker 無 頭 師

A 10/10 bakery, from the exceptionally friendly service to their amazing baked goods. You will not find only the typical bakery stuff, they also offer very interesting choices, like their earl grey lavender buns or their cardamom coffee rolls (definitely my favourite). Their brownie is super chocolatey and with a perfect touch of saltiness! In summary, if you're in Ghim Moh, you really can't skip the headless baker!

I have been wanting to visit this bakery but never got a chance when they were at Star Vista. Finally made it to GM market and I am so thrilled, I have been visiting (or trying to visit) every week. Fancy pastries at a hawker stall! What more can you ask for 😊 First visit: I was so excited that I miscounted the pastries and insisted my calculation was right. The kind uncle obliged and I actually underpaid. When I looked at my photo (actually to show friends) I realised with horror my mistake. Went back the following week to make up for under paying and the people (owner I think, and older gentleman) wouldn’t take my money!! I am so grateful for their kindness. People who want less sweet pastries can go elsewhere (and stop trolling this business).

Have been wanting to try their bakes for a long time! Was attended to by a nice elderly man, who packed my orders carefully. Tried the dark chocolate brownie with strawberry, which was decadent, dense yet moist, and also not too sweet! Also bought some scones, banana cake, and the lemon rose pistachio cake for my family to try.

Love this little bakery run by young bakers. Their Christmas packaging is pretty! Must order in advance for that.

Located within Hawker Center, good for grab and go. Got the matcha strawberry bombolini for $4 using CDC voucher. Donut texture is good and not oily, matcha cream is good but matcha taste is mild. Strawberry is alright , feels like jam. Might be better without strawberry.

Raspberry & pistachio Friand $4. The toppings on top are the raspberry & pistachio(can barely taste it 😅). The cake is well baked and yummy with raspberry. Most of their bakes starts from $4. Matcha & strawberry muffin $3. Strawberry jam inside and match well with matcha muffin. Recommended. The cheese & scallion $2 scone was quite doughy. Unlikely to purchase next time.

First time trying. Bakes look really pretty. Mine tasty doughy and wet. Politely asked if this batch is perhaps underbaked. Baker replied that it’s made of yoghurt and almond meal. She was also polite and friendly but did not pay much attention to the feedback. The sides are cooked and taste good but the insides are definitely underbaked. Thought it would have been a better experience if there was some service recovery. I would definitely gave tried the others if the experience was better.

A friend told me that I just had to try this bakery so we got some to taste. Our favourite is the strawberry brownie 😍 But the cake ms was also delicious. Don’t walk RUN
