My visits to the hawker centre always coincide with Headless Baker being closed, leaving me intrigued. However, luck was on my side today. I was thrilled to find the stall open.
The little stall has an impressive array of delectable-looking pastries. After much deliberation, I settled on a Cinnamon Roll, Oat Muffin, and a Banana Cake.
The Cinnamon Roll, despite being yeastless and eggless, was surprisingly good. It had a lovely, dense texture and rich flavours. The banana cake is moist and sweeten perfectly.
I was particularly impressed by affordability of all the baked goods. The quality of the pastries far exceeded what I would expect from a small, humble bakery.
Update Feb 2025: Returned to get more bakes as I was in the area. Was glad to see more variety and the prices remained affordable. Oh they accept CDC vouchers too. The quality and value is definitely comparable to their high profile hawker brand in golden mile but this one has no queue at all. Highly recommended!
