The vibes here are immaculate ✨ I’m originally from Kansas City, and we have a plant store that also serves tea and coffee so you can sit and enjoy while sitting among the plants. Whenever I’m homesick for a plant-filled place to hang out, I love coming here! I’d love it if they began serving beverages here, too. (Even just bottled drinks so I don’t feel bad for hanging out here without buying anything 😅) I’ve killed every plant I’ve ever owned, so I love coming to hang out with other people’s plants! 😂

Prepare to spend a significant amount of time perusing the unique and intriguing offerings at The Heavy! Their selection of all things green and plant-related and their stock of household goods and decor was nothing short of delightful. The shop also offers a full coffee bar so you can sip while exploring the seemingly endless array of flora they offer. Friendly staff and plenty of parking round out the experience. Highly and happily recommend.

We had a blast just taking pictures here. Whoever designed these themes and layouts is rather m creative and in tune with nature. I grabbed a few succulents for my lady, and some pots. This store is a must for decorating new businesses in the area! Kudos to the owners for converting the Old Lombardi’s into something so unique!

Google
Not sure I can just give this wonderful place just 5- Stars. I can’t say enough about Berkley and the staff here. We hosted a private dinner party here for a 50th birthday tonight. From the beginning of the process Berkley was attentive, informative, helpful, timely all of the attributes that you hope for when interacting with an event planner/coordinator. I appreciated her communication and all she contributed to the event. We worked collectively and elevated the space to a beautiful final result. This venue is exceptional and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to plan an event. Thank you to the all staff at the Heavy. This space is heavenly.

Google
This shop is amazing. I was helping my son decorate his apartment and plants always make a home warm and inviting. The Heavy is just that, warm and inviting. Meagan helped me select the perfect plants for my young, adult son who needs low maintenance plants. Not only was she helpful in choosing plants she was such a delight and so personable. When trying to choose the perfect containers for the plants she understood my budget and made recommendations accordingly. In addition to the beautiful plants and containers, the shop has adorable home decor and gifts. I also bought perfume and have received many compliments. I don’t live locally but wish I could transplant (no pun intended) this store to my hometown.

The Heavy is a secret haven for plant enthusiasts, standing out with its distinctive vibe. With a wide array of plants and an expert staff, it offers a truly delightful shopping experience.

Amazingly beautiful place, full of gorgeous plants, good prices and the staff is SUPER friendly. We got some cactus and the girl at the register even helped us potting it. We'll come back for sure.

The old Lombardi's seafood building has been transformed into a plant lovers dream. Find any plant you want and the helpful staff will transplant it into a new pot if your choice. Pots range from $5 and up depending on how big or ornate you choose. Plus you can also have a cup of coffee while you peruse the vicinity.

Yelp
I am not a plant person. I want to be but traveling for work makes it difficult to really commit. The Heavy is locating right next to Lombardi's Seafood and is a wonderful background for the many pop-ups they host. The first time I came here, I immediately fell in love with the aesthetic. They have very beautiful pieces for the home, plants and bouquets everywhere for sale. It would be a beautiful spot for a special event which I believe you are capable of doing there as well. I've had many a craft coffee, craft burger, sweets and pizza here. It's a great Saturday morning spot to catch up with friends. Everyone is very nice there from behind the counter to customers. There is a parking lot which is nice and sometimes when it's full I panic but still manage to find parking without any real issue.

Yelp
Surprised I hadn't reviewed yet! As I have been coming here off and on for years. The Heavy is a cool spot for all your plant parent needs. They have a large selection of unique plants and other items. It has evolved over the years and I miss a more permanent coffee bar. Definitely a lot of randomness to this place too and you never quite know (outside of plants) what you might find. The service is hit or miss, sometimes you get completely ignored and sometimes everyone is asking how they can help and saying hello.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
I love The Heavy. I shop here frequently. They have a great selection of plants. The prices are what you'd expect for a plant shop in Winter Park, on the pricey side but with their specialty selection these are not plants you'll find at Home Depot so keep that in mind. They have a monthly plant club. Super cool idea for a plant lover. Service is always great, everyone is friendly. Such a cute location, the aesthetic is very boho, take advantage of the photo ops!

Yelp
Listen...I want to be a plant mom so badddd and this place offers such a beautiful selection of plants, flowers and home decor for sale. When you walk in each room feels dreamy. This is definitely a content creators dream. I wasn't blessed with a green thumb so I just like to walk through for the beautiful aesthetics and order customized flower arrangements from time to time, but if plants and flowers is your jam, PLEASE go here you will not be disappointed. They also offer a flower bar where you can create your own arrangements. The price point is on the higher end for flowers and home decor but it's so worth it, you're really paying for their name and amazing service. You can tell the florists really enjoy what they do and take pride in creating something special for everyone. And the plants I feel are reasonably priced. Everyone is so friendly and helpful with plant care and I cannot recommend them enough.

Yelp
So gorgeous, always fun selection of plants, and usually they have local pop ups! Everyone there is so kind too
google avatar

Yelp
The Heavy is gorgeous. Everyone knows this. Lots of plants and other beautiful home decor, a coffee counter and spaces to chill out. Everyone is super nice and you'll find plants in all prices ranges. They also have events and fun pop-ups often so a social media follow is a good choice.

Yelp
Such a unique place to visit, even for us locals. We had a quick shop around the place and instantly fell in love with our keepers. The customer service is also of note. Lenden was fabulous with a great sense of humor and a professional touch. The atmosphere makes you feel right at home. A one of a kind place that you must ABSOLUTELY stop in and experience!
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful beautiful beautiful!!! Amazing space and so many living plants to buy. The pop ups inside are incredibly tasty. This would be an amazing space to rent for a party

Yelp
Wow, what a gorgeous and ginormous place to mosey around!! Part plant shop, part coffee shop, part chic boutique, and event space. Lots going on here, but no question it's a great place for plant lovers like myself. The plant selection is really nice. Super tropical and everything from giant houseplants to tiny succulents. I loved their selection of calatheas and even found a new plant that I'd only seen recently on a plant group page that caught my eye. I left with that one and a pretty little Hoya that caught my eye. The shop included tons of giftable items, home decor, planters and knick knacks. Interestingly on the day we visited, we'd been to several other plant shops and found that they carried a lot of the same items. If you prefer to shop local and don't mind spending a little more to do so, than you probably won't be turned off by the prices. I tend to be someone that compares prices before purchasing so I didn't buy any planters or anything like even though they were all absolutely gorgeous. I personally just have a terrible spending habit when it comes to plants and planters so I have to shop accordingly. That would be the only reason I didn't give them a full 5 stars because of affordability factor. If I only bought a few things here and there, it wouldn't be too bad, but like I said I have a real problem when it comes to hoarding plant goods. LOL It will definitely be a regular stop when I'm out on my plant shopping sprees!

Yelp
I've lived in Orlando for over a decade and never could find a plant shop. Then finally one day I came across the heavy and it was a dream come true. this has to be the official spot to great all your favorite plant friends. Affordable prices, friendly staff, clean atmosphere, such a vibe. If you haven't checked out the heavy you are missing out!
google avatar

Sarah W.

Yelp
HOW did I not know about this place sooner?! Truly a plant lovers dream. It checks all the boxes of cool vibes, beautiful aesthetic, friendly/helpful customer service, and of course ALL of the plants. They even serve coffee inside?! And make custom bouquets of flowers! I loved just strolling around the store and checking out everything it had to offer, and of course purchased a couple plants to bring home. They have a membership program as well that offers a plant of the month which is pretty cool. I look forward to coming back!

Yelp
Every plant parent's paradise! I have seen The Heavy everywhere on my feed and knew I had to pay them a visit when I was in Orlando. I was having a self-care day so I came in with the goal to spoil myself. They have a small lot for easy parking and a ramp + stairs to walk up to the entrance. As soon as you walk in, you can see home decor, plants, planters and more. This spot is a great place to find gifts. Whether you want tea steepers, dried floral arrangements, or The Heavy tshirts- they've got it all. My favorite part is seen to the left of when you walk in- where most of their plants are! If you're anything like me, you can't help but snap a bunch of photos in this area. The staff is super friendly and willing to help you pick out plants. I walked away with my new plant office companion and the comfiest shirt I own. Goal accomplished!

Yelp
I love coming to The Heavy when I'm need in of a gift for someone, not only do I always find something, I usually find something for myself too. The staff is sweet and usually roaming around to answer questions. I always come here for a custom bouquet by one of their talented floral artists, it's always a hit!

Yelp
The Heavy is such a wonderful space. I went for the pop ups that they had today and I was enamored by the place itself. The plant selection is huge and they have decor as well that's extremely beautiful. The staff was also very welcoming and helpful with any questions. I also like that they have a plant subscription, I've never really seen that before. Everything looked priced accordingly for the quality. Ill definitely be returning soon! Fits my aesthetic!

Yelp
The most amazing plant shop I've ever visited ! Now I go there every time I want a new plant ....sometimes even when i don't want a plant but some of my friends are going I tag along, just love being there ! Such an atmospheric place . And great prices for plants. They also see a lot of other stuff which altogether looks so cozy . Very Instagramable )) a lot of spots to shoot for content . In general I'm in love !
google avatar

Yelp
This is the coolest plant store in central Florida. I visit whenever I'm in need of a new plant or pot, and usually leave with far more than I anticipated to buy.

Yelp
I'm obaessed with Thr Heavy! I love how the entire store is staged and it's hard not to buy literally everything. Highly recommend to any plant lover!

Yelp
This place is adorable! I came here for the first time for a houseplant 101 workshop and then browsed the store. The workshop was fun and informative. John was extremely helpful and taught us a lot about how to take care of houseplants based on lighting, placement, watering, and fertilizer. The workshop was about an hour long and we learned all about different houseplants and were able to pick one of our favorite 6" they set out for us. We learned how to repot these plant babies with the right soil and techniques. I'm a new plant mom and am definitely still learning the ropes of how to keep plants alive so this was a great workshop for me. The heavy has several different styled rooms throughout the venue that make for perfect photo opportunities for those interested. There are plants EVERYWHERE both indoors and outdoors. Some plants are a bit pricy then I found others to be extremely reasonable... I did leave with 3 plants and I'm pretty frugal. The staff was extremely friendly and are happy to answer any plant questions you might have before taking your new babies home with you!

Yelp
I love The Heavy!! It's my go to place for all of my plant and floral needs and I love stopping by and visiting the store. I definitely recommend this place for anyone to go check out! One of the cooler spots in the greater Orlando/Winter Park area! From the outside you wouldn't expect it to be so cute, but it's super unique inside! It's actually located in an old Lombardi's Seafood warehouse (don't be turned off by this I know it sounds weird) but in the inside you would never know. Even if you're not particularly looking to buy anything and you're just in the mood for window shopping or looking for a good photo op The Heavy is a great place. FYI some of their merchandise is on the pricey end, the home decor especially. But I find the prices to be reasonable and/or well worth it for things like their unique pots, smaller home decor items, and especially their florals!
google avatar

Michelle R.

Yelp
Im so in love with this place. It's such a chill vibe and they don't just sell plants. They sell other at home stuff too. They even have an area where you can order coffee. If you love buying plants then I'm sure you'll have to use your will power like I do and not buy ever plant you see, especially all the different pots to go with them. This is now my go to spot for plant shopping. I was even able to find my mother of pearl plant which I haven't seen sold anywhere else.
google avatar

Camilla D.

Yelp
Relaxed and laid back atmosphere. They have a good selection of plants and home decor. The perfect spot for plant watching/shopping and aesthetic Instagram shots. I got a Rhalph Tetrasperma and a Birdsnest Fern 'Crispy Wave'. Totally Coffee (local pop-up coffee shop) sometimes hangs out there. Definitely recommend the pistachio rose latte.
google avatar

Giuseppe S.

Yelp
It's a hidden gem of Winter Park that you may not notice at first (unless you can spot the little chalkboard sign!). Both the store and atmosphere are beautiful and inviting. They've done a great job curating their selections of pots, accessories, home goods, and there's a large about of plant options to browse through. The staff were very helpful, giving us guidance on what plants would best suit our home environment and answering questions about ones we already have. They also offered to drill drainage holes in the pots we purchased. Very grateful for a friend recommending we check out The Heavy, we're already planning our next trip back!
google avatar

Melody L.

Yelp
I visited The Heavy recently. It's a plant, decor and coffee shop in Winter Park. We looked at the plants and sat in the hanging chair. I wish my house looked as pretty as the areas in the shop. So many succulents! I regret not buying a few marimo ball plants. It's a furry algae ball plant that lives in water. It is called a moss ball but it is not moss. It looks like a tribble from Star Trek. You grab it out of the water with tongs and bring it home in a plastic cup of water. You have to change the water every 2 weeks. Some people put them in a fish aquarium. I researched the plant though and it lives 100+ years. I'm not sure I'm ready for that kind of plant commitment. So maybe I won't get one?
google avatar

Yelp
Loving this place is so easy, with its divine scenery and kind employees. Believe me when I say that your Instagram is begging you to come here, so come in and check out the beautiful flowers and plants, in this hipster-like environment, with different vendors. While this very location was a recommendation for a photo-shoot, it was beyond everything a young aspiring female could dream of, as the home decor made me feel like this could be home. Mind you, you may not ever want to leave, as this place is beyond gorgeous. Beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, it is - that is quite the understatement.
google avatar

Denise F.

Yelp
What a dreamy place to visit! My pictures really don't do it any justice. This place has such a chill, stylish vibe. I've been here twice now in two weeks. On my first visit, I found things to be a bit expensive. But, really, it just depends on what you are looking for. Their plant prices are fair and they have a lovingly curated selection. Everything from popular favorites such as Monstera and Calatheas, to more obscure plants that I honestly don't know the name of but dream of owning (and likely will own) soon. It's the home decor that is very on-trend, yet quite out of my budget. If you are looking for unique $100 pillows and plant stands and $150 throw blankets, this is a great place for you. I'll have to stick to buying just the plants, which is fine by me! I need to give a shout out to the staff, too, who are super-friendly and very plant- knowledgeable. The Heavy is definitely going to be in my regular plant-hoarder-shopper rotation.
google avatar

Diandra L.

Yelp
If I lived in Orlando I would be at the Heavy every damn day. I couldn't have imagined a more picture perfect oasis if I tried. Im thankful to Andi P for taking us here on our first stop of the day visiting. It's a shared space that features home decor, all the plants, a coffee shop, and events. First of all when it comes to the plants GIMME! The folks here have managed to create a welcoming space that featured plants at every turn. It's like an Anthropologie meets urban outfitters run by your favorite neighborhood boho chic queen to create this zen and welcoming space for everyone to enjoy. Not only is there plants, but there is seating and home decor/accessories and it is absolutely lovely. As if you needed more than plants and cozy vibes to feel at home- THERE IS COFFEE! Im not just talking any coffee, but it's Mercantile Coffee co. These folks know what's up and I enjoyed the most lovely pour over coffee. I always get pour overs, and often get made fun of for ordering the option that takes the longest. But to me, there's nothing better than a perfect cup of coffee. If it's good, it doesn't need sugar, or cream. That's what this pour over was. Floral notes, a symphony of smoothness- in other words, perfection! The guys at Mercantile also taught me the proper coffee to water ratio for a pour over. Every day since this visit I have brewed the most glorious cup of coffee in my own home, using a scale and all, so THANK YOU! What a great find! Locals, make it a point to visit the Heavy. You won't be sorry.
google avatar

Demi A.

Yelp
The heavy is exceptionally beautiful. Offering gorgeous plants, accessories for plants, home goods, and miscellaneous items. They also have my favorite flower arrangements in town, some would say they are over priced but for the overall experience you get when walking into this place, not to mention their staff is super knowledgeable...worth it to me. Take all my money :)
google avatar

Yelp
So excited that The Heavy is finally open! To clear up any confusion, The Heavy is not a food hall, despite what some media outlets initially reported. It's also not an event venue. It's a retail space and floral bar that sells plants, flowers, furniture, ceramics and other home goods from Porch Therapy. When you first enter the space, you'll see tons of gorgeous plants and thoughtfully curated home goods that fit the boho chic home aesthetic. On your left, there's a floral bar where you can order signature bouquets or create your own by the stem - I won't mention current pricing since it might change as they work things out in the early stages of its opening. They plan on having workshops where you can purchase a bucket of flowers and floral experts will teach you how to create your own arrangement - pretty cool since I don't believe this is being done anywhere in Orlando. In the center, you'll find unique gifts, stationary, ceramics and other fun products, and on your right, there's furniture and more plants and unique home decor. If it's anything like the Porch Therapy at East End, expect the layout to be rearranged or refreshed on a regular basis so you can always have something to look forward to when you visit. They plan on having rotating vendors pop up in there space so make sure you follow them on social media to see what fun collaborations they'll have in-store. During their opening weekend, they had: Gypset, Blue Salvage Textiles, Downtown Credo, Secret Society Goods, Intrepid Hearts, Gezzelig Cookies, Orlan-dough and BOARDS by Bill and Sharon. Expect other local faves to pop up here in the near future. If you're curious why it's called "The Heavy," check out this excerpt taken from a recently published article from the Bungalower - the owner of Porch Therapy (who leased the space from a third party) explains what inspired the name: "The building itself and what we're trying to accomplish is heavy. It's defined as something 'substantial' or 'of great weight.' That speaks very accurately to the impression we hope it will leave on the community." Can't wait to see what happens with this business! Expect to see me here on the regular :)

Yelp
Interesting vibe in here. I've not been to Coachella, but I felt like The Heavy could be a VIP tent there. More stylish than I can comprehend, way cooler than I am. I suddenly felt cool by association when walking in. Plants, coffee, gifts, warehouse space, and other treats. Loved the idea of a frozen s'more on a stick, there was a vendor selling those treats from the corner. A large selection of plants, focusing on succulents and air plants, with lots of dainty little containers to decor-ify your life. Also a few cool containers for patio gardening, and plant frames for hanging on walls. There is a small Lineage Coffee counter in the corner, and a floral bouquet design station too with ready made elegant designs (think ikebana). This place is very on trend and stylish.

Yelp
Every area of the building is like an Instagrammer's dream come true. It is gorgeous. It makes you forget that this building used sell seafood. So many beautiful plants and unique items. There are constantly new products and things to look at. I want to spend all of my money here. I love that The Heavy has pop-ups basically every week. I've had everything from Pokekai to Hunger Street to Bangrak. Plus, Mercantile Coffee Co is always there with nitro cold brew and specialty lattes (like Cereal Milk!!) on-tap! The Heavy is definitely one of my favorite places. It's so nice to have it so close to home!
google avatar

Sophie R.

Yelp
This place is so cute and amazing! It's a hole in the wall kinda place in the old Lombardi's Seafood Market and Restaurant which I thought was really cool!! Their plants are so cute and they have very healthy and well taken care of plants. When I was checking out, the kind lady at the desk ask if i wanted my plants to be potted! I said yes and she took them back and planted them. My brother who was with me had 2 plants and the lady added another plant (for free) while planting them!! So kind!! Definitely worth coming here! Not only do they have plants they have some furniture and decor!!
google avatar

Sabrina G.

Yelp
Love this place. The space is very relaxing and tranquil. There are art, candles, plants, and some small furniture accent pieces. I can't help but buy atleast one plant when I come here. The associates are very knowledgeable and if you don't see what you are looking for there, you can put in a request to get it in the future. When you are shopping, they will hold items you picked out by the front register so you don't have full hands while you shop. They are also careful handling your items and wrap them nicely. Will be back again!
google avatar

Sadie O.

Yelp
SO CUTE!!! such a calm and welcoming vibe here at the heavy, all staff were wearing masks and were happy to help with any plant questions! weather was beautiful today so the atmosphere was amazing. located in a historical old fish factory it's such a fun place to visit for plant people!
google avatar

Jensine C.

Yelp
Finally checked this place out and it's been on my list for places to visit for a while. Located in the old Lombardi's warehouse is this open air seller of plants, pots, designer accessories to decorate your living space or work space. The ladies working here are super nice and they can customize and create your plant purchase in a unique way. I made an appointment to visit them with some family members and pretty much had the place to ourselves in the morning. I bought some plant life and a roll-on perfume by a local creator. My new plants are a snake plant, Swiss plant, and a spider plant. I went out afterwards to buy my own pots but you can find some there too (it's just too pricey for me). I would definitely visit this place again when I'm ready to add more plants to my house.

Yelp
Totally I. Live with this place! Plants and nature Prices are excellent and you can sit and have a little you time! And not just that the have set ups it you want to take a couple of pics

Yelp
A vast collection of houseplants! The staff is all very knowledgeable about all the items they sell. Besides the plants, they sell different household decor, candles, wallets, and even prearranged bouquets. Great place to buy uniques gifts for loved ones. I've visited them over a dozen times already and would recommend it.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome selection of adorable plants and decor. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I will be back for sure!

Yelp
I enjoy going to The Heavy a lot. But I recently got a pothos from them, and it turned out not to be an entire plant but rather a bunch of tiny pieces of pothos. Like they tried to propagate them but they weren't ready to be potted. They don't even have established root systems. I'm really disappointed :( Update: I went back and they said they'd let me exchange my plant just this once. They gave me a new pothos with mold on the soil. I don't recommend this place at all.
google avatar

Yelp
Creative and unique plant nursery. Love the flower bar where you are able to create your own bouquets! There is also home decor finds obsessed with the candles and pillows! I come here now and again just to sip a coffee and work on the computer remotely. It's just a breathe of fresh air. Very friendly workers who are always down to chat

Yelp
The heavy, Omg! Where have you been all of my life? And how did I not know about you sooner. I found the The Heavy through IG! And I was so happy that I did. When I arrived the first thing that I noticed was parking. There is plenty. The Heavy is an old Seafood Warehouse which I thought was pretty awesome. The parking lot was clean and well kept. When I walked in I was immediately greeted by a lady at the door she was really nice and would later recommend other places for me to visit and I loved that. There is also a flower shop and an area where I am assuming people can host events which I thought was awesome. They have all type of plants to choose from, soaps and gifts for all kinds. My sister in law was impressed with their cloth soaps and I was impressed with just about everything. I mean seriously it was sooo gorgeous. The staff was very nice and answered all of the questions that I had. Overall this place is gorgeous and I wish I had found it sooner I would definitely go back.

Yelp
How cute is this place?! I can't believe I waited so long to check out The Heavy! I pass it everyday on my way to work & thought it was just a place that sells plants. Well I was very wrong!! They have adorable places to rest or work, a cafe, different areas where they sell various items, as well as plants for sale. I stopped by to grab a succulent for a friend & was blown away by how chic The Heavy is! Some of the items were definitely a little pricey, but the staff was really helpful & even repotted my plant in the pot I chose. There's a cafe to grab a drink, they even have cbd sparkling water for sale, a flower bar where you can buy floral arrangements or flowers by the stem, as well as a refrigerator with ready made bouquets! If you're looking for somewhere new to hang out, I'd definitely recommend checking out The Heavy!

Yelp
Great spot, love to stop by at-least once a week to look through the plant selection. Cute houseware items as well.

Yelp
I was in awe of this indoor plant store that I have been looking for a long time, and thank you for making it happen. I love it, and I brought some plants that are hard to find and brought them home with me. I am a happy lady. I will be back for more.

Yelp
We stopped here for the first time in over a year. It seems to me the prices were even higher than I remember last time, I left empty handed. A lot of their agave in the back look like it needed care. It was sad to see 70'dollar plants rotting away. I appreciate their abundance of caution during this time so it seems as if you need a reservation made online before you arrive. The coffee area is currently closed. The decor here is fantastic albeit pricey. Plenty of Pinterest worthy things for your place can be found here. Staff always seems friendly. I wish the quality of plants that were permanently installed on the outside of this building reflected the quality of plants that I saw inside, but this isn't the case sadly. However I understand covid has affected all of us including getting beautiful plants stocked on shelves...

Yelp
This place is adorable! Plants are so taken care of, and for the quality a good price point. Their employees are so nice. I had brought my own pot to match the others in my house, and they potted it for me. Saving me such a mess since I don't have a yard to pot plants in. They even have this super cute dinner event every other Friday that looked and smelled amazing. I love this little place, and I will be back even if it's just for the coffee!!

Yelp
WOW WOW WOW!!! I don't know how many times I said "omg this is so pretty" while walking around this place. The aesthetic in there is just gorgeous. So many bohemian type decorations. They also have a lot of plants and even a succulent nursery outside. I loved all the pottery, I got a couple of pots myself! Jonathan was very knowledgeable about the plants and was incredibly friendly!! And so was the rest of the staff. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town!!
