Anna Kate was our server, and she did an excellent job. You found a great new team member with her, her fourth day on the job, thought she was a long time team member! Her service was impeccable! Onto the food! This restaurant is a bright shiny star in the land of restaurants that only serve bar food! What we had, beef tartare, really excellent! I rarely eat this out. As an accomplished chef, I only eat this when I make it. It was fresh and delicious! I did not care for the aoli, my own personal preference! Bread served with the tartare was hard! It's as if Anna Kate read my mind, and without asking, placed a plate of fresh, lightly toasted bread on the table, superb! We also had the special benny of the day. Perfectly poached eggs on French toast with maple syrup and hollandaise sauce, apples and pecans and pork belly, sprinkled with pecans, delicious! Served with a side of pineapple coleslaw. Slaw was not mayo drenched! Yay! This restaurant chef knows how to chef! A diverse menu, small and done right! I believe there were 6 different types of oysters offered too. Those are for another day! Dessert was super spectacular too, sour orange pie, just amazing! The restaurant is so wonderfully decorated too! With care! Four stars, because the napkins smelled bad. Try a new linen service and softer napkins. And there were no paper towels in the bathroom.
