Really great spot for creative and classic cocktails/beer/extensive whiskey list and delicious snacks!. Really cool and chic vibes. Terrific bartenders! We also ordered olives, Serrano ham and tinned mackerel toast. All fantastically delish!

Gorgeous well appointed bar. Bartender Amanda was attentive and gave excellent local recs. I was solo and enjoyed simple snacks as my entire meal. The bread, olives, and Serrano ham were stellar. Definitely cozy and worth a visit!! Plenty of quiet space on a Tuesday night.

I absolutely loved this place the first time I stopped in on a quiet late night when not much was happening in town. My bartender was Kat (or Cat), and she was incredibly friendly and welcoming. As someone newer to the Hudson area, her knowledge and warmth made the experience feel especially supportive. The other staff working that evening were kind as well. Fast forward to New Year’s Eve a much busier night. I fully understand that staff are doing their best during peak times, but I’ll admit the experience felt different. I had a bartender who wasn’t Kat, and I struggled to feel comfortable in the space due to a lack of hospitality. In hindsight, it probably would’ve been a better experience if I’d had friends with me it was a big night, and I’d just come from work hoping for a few moments of reprieve and a sense of celebration in community. All that said, it’s a solid establishment. If you’re going on a busy night, I’d recommend bringing some pals. And Kat you’re awesome. P.S. Their NA drinks are remarkable.

I did not order any food during this visit so I can only share about service, atmosphere and beverages. The service was fast. The bartenders were attentive and patient with questions on a really busy night. Atmosphere was clean and inviting. The crowd was lively so conversations were loud but not overbearing. It really felt like a popular historic bar you'd find in the city. There is a fantastic drink menu with very different cocktails and flavors you find everywhere else. I tried the "drink like a writer" cocktail and do not enjoy it. I wanted to try something different, but this was outside of my familiar. It was well crafted in front of me, but the Haitian rum mixed with coffee bitters did not feel smooth going down. It wasn't a bad drink, just not a combination I enjoyed. I would absolutely return to this bar, maybe when it's less busy so I could explore the beverage flavors with the guidance of the mixologists. Overall, good experience.

Hereafter is an incredible cocktail bar right near the park — vibes on vibes. It’s not a speakeasy, but it has that classy, elevated feel. The drinks were fantastic. The Hellcat packed a serious punch (and a real kick of spice!), while the Marigold Weather was the perfect contrast — sweet, light, and super refreshing on the palate. Jeremy behind the bar is awesome — talented, personable, and makes the whole experience even better. And seriously, don’t miss the warm bread. Christ have mercy, it’s delicious — and for just $8? Absolute steal. Cannot recommend this place enough. We’ll definitely be back!

A must for cocktail lovers but not intimidating for a casual pop-in or nightcap either. My standout cocktail recommendation: Old Town, each sip reveals new layers of brown butter-washed whiskey, sherry, and Armagnac. While the cocktails shine, what truly sets this place apart is the food. The chicken vol-au-vent was rich and satisfying, and the pork meatballs packed bold, punchy flavors, (all made with local ingredients). Service is cool but personable - it’s just an easy place to hang out, and their menu is always evolving so I’ll be back to try what’s next!

We checked out the Hereafter in Hudson last night for our Anniversary Dinner and it was so good! Amazing cocktails, wonderful selection of small plates and that bread was out of this world. I have never had bread that good, I guess the bakery moved out of NYC due to high rents and found a new home in Hudson. Absolutely amazing 😍 Take the short ride and try it out, you won't be disappointed! All I can say is Peanut Butter Mole Pie 😋😋😋

We dropped in on their first night open and were blown away. Everything about it has the makings of what will likely be our favorite go-to spot in Hudson. The vibe was stylish but casual, buzzy, and warm. The cocktails reminded me of The Maker lounge but with a twist. And the shining star was the food — I really believe it’s hard to have great drinks, great ambiance, and stellar food at the same time but they have done it. We ordered both the trout and the pork belly as well as the salad and the bread. I will always judge a place by it’s bread and butter and this was farmer’s market quality. The salad was a last minute add but actually surprised me — chips on top! Pork belly tasted like crispy bacon on the outside and was melt-in-your-mouth on the inside. I told myself I had to write this review because I need this spot in my life forever. GO!!!

Yelp
The Here After is a low-key cocktail bar which not so secretly boasts a full dinner menu full of very good food though the portions are quite small for the price. With the closure of another formidable cocktail bar in town, Hudson was due for a new spot. The Here After is both sophisticated and down to earth, a balance that very much matches the vibe at other Hudson mainstays. We came here for dinner at around 8:15 on a Thursday night. We had planned to go to Lil Deb's a few doors down but they were unexpectedly closed so we needed to quickly pivot. We had come here last month with a group for a nightcap after dinner and I vaguely remembered our server mentioning then that they had food. Considering that the kitchen here is tiny, the variety of offerings here is impressive. It is inconsistent as far as execution goes (some stuff great, other stuff meh, and some stuff in the middle), but the talent is there. The drink menu here is vast so good luck making your choices here. We each got two drinks, one that we loved and one that we had mixed feelings about. My partner's first drink was a seasonal one so it's not on the online menu, and while he said it was delicious he couldn't taste any alcohol in it which made it feel like he was just drinking juice. My first drink was the Casablanca (dry gin, turkish fig-infused vermouth, walnut liqueur, orange bitters, cracked cardamon), like a nutty Martinez variation. Classy but unique. My second drink, the The House Dirty (gin infused with oregano, manzanilla sherry, salt-preserved lemon brine), had to potential to be great but there was something about to oregano infusion that gave the drink a strange aftertaste. My partner got the Hellcat (mezcal infused with ancho and pasilla peppers, strawberry amaro, guava, lemon, agave) which we both loved. During our first trip here I remember I tried the Trail Blazer (single malt whiskey, pine liqueur, juniper and rosemary syrup, charred lemon, smoke rosemary) which was delicious and woodsy - any time I see a drink with pine liqueur I need to try it. Food-wise, we got a mix of veggies and proteins and got to sample a good chunk of the menu. Other than one dish we really liked everything, but I will say that the portions are quite small for the prices. So keep that in mind when you order, especially if you are going in very hungry. Eats, below: Endive Salad w/ smoky brown butter vinaigrette, pickled shallot, dill: A- One of the very small dishes but still tasty. An endive salad with a good vinaigrette is hard to beat. Steak Tartare w/ egg yolk, herbs, guajillo chile, masa crackers: A My partner and I are both very particular about steak tartare and we both loved this one. Delicate, not too heavy/dense, the subtlety of the herbs really elevating the overall flavor profile. Roasted Squash: B This one was a miss for me. This was half of a yellow squash, halved length-wise, sitting on a plate in a bath of sauce. The sauce was decent but the preparation and concept were uninspired. PEI Mussels w/ yuzu, chili, herbs: A- Solid mussels dish, only an A- because I felt the broth could've been seasoned more. But a solid helping of mussels. We ordered the bread in part to sop up some of the extra broth (oddly, the bread arrived at the end of the meal instead of the beginning but we made the best of it). Trout in Escabeche w/ herb yogurt, mizuna: A The other standout of the night and also the only dish I got a picture of. It's steelhead trout so don't be surprised if you order it and it at first glance resembles salmon. The fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce was absolutely heavenly. I could eat this for every meal. Panna Cotta: A- This only receives an A- because of the portion. Laughably small, especially because we were splitting it. But what was there was very good, so there's that!

Yelp
Interesting, but limited menu. So-so food. Disengaged service. Better choices nearby.

Yelp
Great place to have cocktails with friends or alone! The staff is friendly as they have a great selection of both boozy + zero proof spirits!

Yelp
The first mistake i made walking into here after is assuming it is a cocktail bar. It indeed has excellent cocktails and i voice zero complaints, however the food is a blazing flash of inspiration. The hanger steak is the archetype of bistro steak, well seasoned, juicy, a healthy red hue with excellent sear served to portions to delight but not overburden. The chocolate pave is a celebration of hazelnut and chocolate that revives your childhood memories of your favorite chocolate bar. The menu is compact and squeezes every last drop of excellence.

Yelp
A cute tourist bar in a tourist town w/ overpriced cocktails and stingy portions of food. The $20 cheese board had approximately 1.5 oz of thinly sliced cheese and 3 pieces of bread; the marinated olives were $1 per olive. My husband's $18 cocktail was more ice cubes than liquor and my single glass of rose cost as much as a bottle of the same at a retail outlet.

Yelp
My friends and I came in for an after dinner drink, and we were met with ugliness from a waitress who is from the UK. We ordered our drinks, and she brought them back with attitude. Then we asked if we could sit in the corner by the windows. She says she has to clean it. She took her time. My thought was that she was hoping others would come in. Once finally cleaned, we sat down, and she would walk by giving attitude and dirty looks. We ordered another round and she didn't bring my drink which ok fine. Then, an hour later, we asked for the bill. We left enough for a tip even though I felt she didn't deserve it. Instead of actually counting it, she runs out and starts yelling at us about not leaving enough. Then she recounted it and said oh nevermind. RUDE. I will never step foot in there again.
