Had a great lunch, waiter was good, food came out quickly! We all enjoyed our meals! Highly recommend the brisket its beautiful! Very good hearty food, it you love meat! The deserts were also good! The only problem was the flies, I did suggest they burn seranolla candles to get rid of the flies! We understand flies will be anywhere, but there were too many and it was uncomfortable!

Great meal. We have explored the penguins and walked back into town. This place looked pretty good and I'm so glad we decided to eat here. I'm a meat eater though and through and my wife is veggie. We both enjoyed our meals and our service was great. The owner even chatted to us outside while we waited for our Uber. I would definitely recommend

Totally random selection to land here for a late lunch. Food was outstanding, pork ribs, brisket sandwich and taco. Great quality meat prepared brilliantly. Had the beer tasting board too. Excellent all round can’t fault it!!!!

For the beer starter try the ‘taster menu’ and if I could recommend number 1; 3 & 4… currently the ‘Hoppy Pils’, ‘Neiss Weiss’, ‘Just Nuisance’ (personal favourites). From Taco Tuesday to Happy Hour they are ‘Brewering’ it right. Thanks for the awesome experience guys.

We had lunch here,after a long day in the cape of good hope. This place is cool ,the food was amazing, the bread with olive oil was tasty. We went for vegan menu as thz meat there is not Halal. The lady serving us was amazing, she respected our choice and recommended the best Halal food ,we had parmigiana, cheese tocas . I Highly recommend it

The Hickory Shack – A Smoked Meat Lover’s Paradise We recently had the pleasure of visiting The Hickory Shack, thanks to a Wikideals voucher we received as a gift, and what an unforgettable experience it was! The star of the meal was undoubtedly the smoked meat platter, featuring beef brisket, Texas links, ribs, and winglets—each bite bursting with rich, smoky flavor and expertly cooked to perfection. The addition of side salad and chips made for a generous portion, almost impossible to finish between two people. Safe to say, arriving hungry is a must! To top it all off, the complimentary craft beers were served ice-cold, making for the perfect pairing with the hearty meats. For anyone who appreciates authentic smoked barbecue, The Hickory Shack is a must-visit. From the quality of the meats to the relaxed atmosphere, this spot delivers an exceptional dining experience. Highly recommended!

Had an excellent Sunday lunch with my lady We tried the following Tasting platter for 2 Texas twinkies Pulled pork tacos Scottish ale German weiss Everything was just amazing. My favourite was the ribs and the brisket. Their beers are also great. If you like the roasty flavor of dark beer then you'll love the Scottish ale. The German weiss was fruity and light. The atmosphere is awesome, feels very cozy and seating is well spaced so you don't feel like people are on top of you when full. Service with a smile and waiter was new but sorted us out with everything and even some vouchers at the end. A must visit I recommend

Cool spot I happened upon in Simon’s Town. My craving for craft beer led me straight here, and I’m enjoying the gorgeous False Bay IPA. God bless the micro breweries ❤️ 🍺
