The pub crawl was one of the main highlights of my trip — not only because the interaction with other travelers was great, but also because our guide, John Styx, made everyone feel welcome. He’s such a fun and genuine person that I ended up joining three pub crawls with him. As someone who isn’t naturally extroverted, he helped me enjoy my trip in a way I never had before. The hostel itself is also great — the facilities are excellent, everything is clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect. Highly recommended.

One of my favorite hostels in Vietnam. The staff was great, the vibe is very social and very friendly, and the rooms/bathrooms are pretty clean (especially for a party hostel). The bar crawl was a ton of fun. It’s run by the bartender (great guy) and other members of the staff who have a band and perform at some of the venues you visit along the way. If I’m ever back in Ho Chi Minh, I know where I’m staying.

The bar tender ‘Kan’ was honestly the best hostel bar tender we’ve ever experienced. We’ve travelled all around the world and have never been greeted with such better genuine love. He made our night and made everyone welcome, I seriously can’t recommend this legend enough. ‘Karn’ with the long hair. Pure lord. 🩵 a bunch of aussies x

I had a fantastic stay here. The staff are all so friendly and helpful - shout out especially to John for our many fun chats. The pub crawl is a blast. And I appreciate the assistance I received at reception arranging my onward travel. All in all I would highly recommend The Hideout for backpackers travelling to Saigon.

I had an incredible experience at this hostel! The vibes were immaculate and the staff was top-notch. A special shoutout to John at the reception—he was excellent and super helpful with everything I needed. I actually ended up extending my stay because I was having such a good time. Highly recommend!

One of the best party hostels I’ve been to and ended up extending days to stay longer. The staff was friendly can have a joke and chat with any time. John Kan and Lean all made my experience that much better. Would recommend to anyone who wants a social hostel.

stayed here for 6 nights and overall had worst time. If you want a hostel to socialise, meet people from all over the world (including many friendly foreigner travelers), this is hands-down the worst spot in vietnam. Definitely a 0- star vibe for community and atmosphere! However, not everything was perfect. The manager (the Slim Man Clicked My photo And I Asked To delete it and He Didn’t ) and then many peope Come For Fight at the pub crawl and were almost angry attitude. Honestly, dealing with them felt uncomfortable. On the other hand, zack at the reception is one of the most awuful person. From my personal impression, there also seemed to be a bit of bias against guests from India or countries with Black communities, which didn’t feel right. That said, the social atmosphere, events, and people you meet here make up for the negatives. I Had A Fight With a Guy if Ihe She Upload My photo i will sue Him He Dont now Me who i am …🐅 he Was Worst

Pros: 1. Clean enough for a hostel 2. Quite close to Walking street 3. Free drinks? Cons: 1. Need to climb up at least 2-3 flights of stairs 2. Not really private enough for a communal space 3. Bad odour in the lounge
