The Hideout Sigiriya

Fantastic team. Beautiful pool. Super helpful staff. Lovely, delicious food. Out of own location which suited us very well. If you need cold beer - let them know!!! They catered for 8 of us beautifully. Darryl, Sarah and The Reeves

We (2 adults and 2 children) stayed in the spacious Tree House and had a wonderful time. The terrace was especially lovely – perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view over the rice fields.||The hotel is quiet and cozy, with a well-maintained pool and a separate children's pool. There are plenty of loungers around the pool. The food is simple but tasty, and the chef puts a lot of effort into tailoring meals to the guests’ preferences – especially for children, which we really appreciated.||Apart from local beer, no alcohol is served. The hotel is a great base for exploring Sigiriya and the surrounding area.||We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!

This place is beautiful, the pool is great, the location is beautiful. It’s set a little out the way amongst some plantations which makes it very peaceful. My favourite bit was the staff weee so helpful, they let me borrow their computer when I needed organised everything for me and even couriered my charger that I left there to my next hotel. Would really recommend

We had a very pleasant stay at the Hideout. The staff is very attentive, the rooms spacious and the pool is a really nice perk. What stood out for us is the incredible chef Joseph, who, with his decades of experience in the industry, prepared lovely local breakfasts for us and made sure to come out and have a friendly chat each morning. Thanks to the whole team 🙏

The Hideout has very kind employees. We checked in easily and were quickly served a hot meal. Our room was simple but clean and very welcoming. It was great to spend some time in the pool.

Love the garden setting! Besutiful flowers everywhere you look. The swimming pool is nice and big. And the rooms are big and clean. Love love LOVE also the delicious fresh drishes they have. You can really taste the local recipes prepared with love.

Amazing service from everyone at the Hideout! Very comfortable rooms, great pool and lots of animal and bird life around the property. The chef's meals were delicious and he specially catered to our vegan friend, plus the beers were cold - much needed after the climb up Sigiriya Rock! Organising transport through the hotel was super easy - we had a great tuk-tuk driver who came and went as we needed, and we also organised our transport to Kandy through the hotel, for a great price and again, our driver was amazing! We had a very relaxing 2 nights at the Hideout and the only thing that could have made our stay better is if we could have stayed longer at the Hideout!

The staff was accommodating, and the view of Sigiriya Rock from the room was stunning. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. However, we faced several problems. The A/C didn’t work, and the electricity went out many times. The restroom had broken locks and the wardrobe was also damaged. Poor maintenance affected our trip. The stay was pleasant but I wouldn't choose to stay again.
