The Higher Ground Restaurant

Such a treat! The "free" view .... perfect brewed coffee bean..... sunlight and a meal to enjoy, a quality meal..... Absolutely love your menu caters to all and something for everyone... Such a pleasure

-5. If you look south Asian origin, do not expect to be served. For the 3rd time there I ordered something they said they didn't have and it took them 10 min to tell me. i ordered a Guinness and water instead. and intended to get a shake and fries. the guy said no shakes. it took about 20min after arriving (after 15h) it was mostly empty (tables actually paid and left) i got my Guinness. about 10 min later 3 kids, under 15, arrived. they got a milkshake and fries betwen them. they got that about 10 min after they arrived. when the waiter checked me about 16.30 he didn't say they "suddenly" had shakes again. he didn't offer me a shake as an option. after what i observed I no longer felt to get anything else. then i was left alone until 17.30, i had to hand gesture for another waiter to get my waiter. it started to get cold so i ordered a hot choc. i stayed outside because of my dog, and i was enjoying the music. i brought up with the waiter and called the manager about why 2 white girls can get a shake, and they didn't bother to advise they that they could make me a shake. he didn't offer anything other than to bring me the invoice for the ice cream from the shop? so they went to get icecream for a couple of kids? Who were sharing drinks and food? the waiter came back at 6.45 and i still didn't have my hot choc. i was now cold, so i paid and then went to find the manager and told him why after discussing that others were getting served (there were no other asian origin people around) but not me, I still didn't get something i ordered? he had nothing to say. he didn't offer to compensate with any hot drink or the supposed "no milkshake". he only offered to serve me personally next time?

Came here to have a quick meal, and do a cake cutting for my birthday. The wings were fairly good, and the fries were great. However, the sauce provided was honestly rancid, and I couldn't get it down. The fish was spectacular! Buttery, smooth, with a delicious batter on the outside. The waiters were all helpful, and they didn't come to the table incessantly. The view was truly amazing. Clear view of Sandton, and a distant view of Jozi South. However, the music lacked diversity, and was clearly catered toward a specific crowd. All in all, a 4/5 experience.

I love adrenaline rush and this breakfast in the sky experience gave me just that. It was amazing having to eat while suspended about 40m up from ground. The food was delicious and filling, they offer an open bar service as well. The staff was amazing and the hostess funny.. I loved it and I highly recommend. Next time I'm definitely going for their dinner experience for the sunset and just city views at night

Had my year end function at Higher Ground and the experience was great. Sky Dining is a bit scary for those afraid of heights, but it’s worth it for the stunning views. The food was good, I loved the cheesecake!

Came in for an afternoon drink 1. Empty soda can were found on deck, soonest we arrive, what a buzz kill, waiter didn't even bother picking it up until we asked him to 2. Patio furniture are so torn and broken 3. Cushion looks like it hasn't been washed in a very long while The view is great, but ambiance is completely ruined

This restaurant is not an experience, it’s a lifestyle. Has stunning views of Sandton. Great spot to catch up with a friend on a Wednesday afternoon. I must mention that the coffee machine doesn’t work during loadshedding so be mindful of that. Our waiter was very courteous from the moment we walked in. We received stellar service. 10/10
