Excellent location, great staff, and very clean. We loved the accomodations as there were 3 of us in a room which had a queen and a twin bed which worked well for what we needed during our quick trip. The decor of the room was trendy and thoughtfully designed. The location was walkable to all the attractions and different areas of Amsterdam. The folks that worked at the hotel were extremely friendly, easy to talk to, and a helpful resource for us as we navigated around the city. We would definitely go back to the Highland House if we ever paid another visit to the inner city.

Very friendly staff and a delicious breakfast. The hotel is located right next to the central station. After checking out, we left our luggage in the luggage room without any problems. The room was nice and clean, and the bed was super comfy. I would definitely come again.

The most amazing central location! The concierge team was great help in planning. Super creative about the rooms being “named” instead of “room numbers”. We loved staying in the wine cellar, the bottle of prosecco was an added plus. Sister property is right down for road, although we did not eat the breakfast they stored the bags for us on the first day.

We loved this hotel! Reasons you should book here: 1. The staff is super friendly and helpful. 2.The location is perfect! 3.We walked everywhere from the train station to Jordaan. 4.The showers are awesome! 5. The beds are mega comfortable. 6. It’s quiet. 7. Its clean|Other notes: breakfast provided/included is good but there are lots of places to go nearby for same price or cheaper. You can add in the breakfast as you go for $17.50 pp. The only minority annoying thing was that for the 3 of us in a tripe room, we had to live out of our suitcases cuz there was no room to unpack and we were tripping over our suitcases. If you pack light, this won’t be a problem and maybe other rooms are different- we stayed in the office. Our friend stayed in the double game room and it was very roomy and lots of space to unpack.

2 night stay with friends. Great location from train station and main square. Welcoming staff, clean and tidy. We had the basement room, the beds are so comfortable. Plenty of body wash, shampoo and conditioner, so no need to bring any. Toilet was separate to bathroom, so could of done with a sink in there to wash hands. Would definitely stay hear again.

Highland House was perfect. Great central location. Easy to get to from the train station and all the main attractions. Room was clean, ready early. Staff were kind and efficient. Would highly recommend. Themed rooms are a nice touch.

Great location, rooms were clean and tidy. Ideal for a few days in the city. Our room was on the 2nd floor and facing the street, we could hear a little bit of noise but nothing major and ear plugs were also provided in the room.

The house is perfectly located—close to the train station and the city center. It's surprisingly quiet at night. The room is beautifully decorated in different themes, but there is no window to open for fresh air. The breakfast is pretty basic, but it's okay.
