My family of four stayed here during the Christmas Tree Elegance event. The hotel was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, we booked our reservation through Expedia, and Expedia had overbooked the hotel leading to our family being split up and resulting in our family having to pay for an unexpected additional room. The Davenport staff were amazing and top notch at finding us a room on an extremely busy & stressful evening. I would advise anyone to book directly through the hotel and not a third party. Rooms were clean, beds were very comfortable. Food and service overall was exceptional. The history and displays could keep you entertained for hours. We will be back, a very special experience.

The historic Davenport hotel in Spokane WA has to be one of the nicest Hotels with the friendliest employees we have been able to stay at. If you love early 19th century architectural styling, this place is magnificent! Beautiful hotel, lobby, rooms and everything in between. Christmas is a fantastic time to visit and stay. The place is decorated to the nines, and a massive Christmas tree stands inside the hotel lobby! We have stayed here before, and always look forward to future visits. Employees are so helpful, and kind, the bars staff, restaurant staff along with the food is wonderful. and it is within walking distance of so many fun establishments in down town Spokane!

So gorgeous!! The historical photos around the building are amazing and super interesting. I highly recommend touring around the ballrooms. This hotel offers unique events that allow you to step back in time. This is an absolute must visit when visiting Spokane.

I've been to several brunch events hosted at the Davenport. It is not only classy and elegant to look at, the food and staff were amazing. I love this beautiful historical hotel in my home town. I would highly recommend anyone coming to stay in Spokane to stay at this lovely hotel. The beds are extraordinary and they will have one specially made for you, if your intrested. They've been doing this for years, as people rant and rave about these comfortable beds. I'll be going there soon to see all the beautiful Christmas trees they have throughout the hotel. These trees are available to the people. The process is through the purchase of raffle tickets. It really is a must for your visit to Spokane. You won't be disappointed.

This hotel is so beautiful. An experience in itself staying there. I love how much of its history they display. The have done a wonderful job providing the modern conveniences without coming at the cost of its historic beauty. There were amenities and services that I will certainly come back to experience that I didn't have time for on the trip. My one and only critique would be the beds. The look beautiful but they are not only uncomfortable but oddly low to the ground. **I know the comfort of a bed can be subjective. But because of the odd little platform that the mattress was on it almost felt like it sloped off on the sides. ALL THAT SAID.... 5 stars all day. Would absolutely recommend.

A Wonderful Stay at The Davenport Hotel – Outstanding Service! My experience at The Davenport Hotel Autograph Collection in Spokane was exceptional from start to finish. Every part of my stay reflected the hotel’s commitment to excellence and genuine hospitality. Valet Service: A special thank-you to Mitch and Max, who provided absolutely outstanding valet service. They were prompt, friendly, and incredibly professional—greeting me with a warm welcome each time I arrived and ensuring my vehicle was handled with care. Their attentiveness truly set the tone for the rest of my visit. Dining Experience: The dining service was just as impressive. Tiffany took amazing care of us—her warm personality, attention to detail, and knowledgeable recommendations made every meal enjoyable. She is the perfect blend of professional and personable, enhancing the entire dining experience. Check-In Staff: The front desk team was equally fantastic. Check-in was smooth, welcoming, and efficient. They were friendly, helpful, and made sure everything was set for a comfortable stay. Their hospitality made me feel valued the moment I walked through the doors. Overall, The Davenport Hotel exceeded my expectations in every category. Beautiful property, amazing staff, and truly memorable service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Spokane and look forward to staying again! Sincerely, Dean and Kimberly Goff

Unbelievably beautiful restorations to a 100+ year old iconic building in downtown Spokane!! Stayed @ the Tower earlier this fall & just attended a candlelight concert @ the Historic. The Grand Pennington Ball Room was gorgeous, yet intimate for small venue concert. 🎻 🕯

Completely appalled!!! My wife and I love upscale hotels, and have stayed in many of them from New York City to Atlanta to California. We have lived in Washington for almost 4 years now and gone to see the tree show every Christmas at the Davenport. Our three-year-old daughter calls it her hotel every time we pass. I thought it would be nice for my wife’s birthday surprising her with a room would be nice and they have a pool so we could take our daughter swimming and just have a nice evening. From the time we walked in and got to the front desk the clerk treated us like we were insignificant, and as though we were inconveniencing her, we had quite a few bags because we came from an event for our daughter, and they offered no sort of bellhop service or even a luggage cart which they had just offered to the people before us. We get to our room and there are dirty cups outside the door from the night before that were there the next morning When we left along with the Room service tray from the night before when I ordered my wife cheesecake. At 8:30 PM I went downstairs to ask the front desk where I could find a microwave to heat up my daughter‘s bottle and the clerk was the same one who checked us in, She was completely rude, essentially rolled her eyes and said she didn’t know what to tell me. Up until this point I had held this hotel in high regard and always thought that it was really elegant but after this stay, I can’t imagine even coming back for the Christmas event. Of all the hotels we’ve stayed at. I’ve never once asked for a refund, but I did hear, and I’ve never felt more justified in having to ask, but no surprise. I haven’t received a call back. I can’t help but feel like the minute the front desk saw the tattoos on my hand is what completely changed things. And I don’t want to believe that because we live in the modern world where it’s a normal thing, but I truly feel like that’s where it started. We were all dressed nicely. I was extremely polite, so I really just don’t understand why the Hospitality was the way it was.

Yelp
My favorite hotel in Spokane maybe all of Washington. It's an elegant well maintained and well managed delight. We have stayed here and dined here during the holiday season for years. Never disappointed! Service is excellent and food is excellent the new lobby bar is a great addition. The bartenders know their craft and the collection of spirits is good. Stay if you can or just have a dinner in the beautiful lobby setting or a drink at the bar; heck you can simply take chair and admire an old beauty.

Yelp
I've always loved visiting The Davenport, the historic charm is unbeatable and although I haven't stayed here in nearly 20 years, my cousin and I decided to book it for a weekend in Spokane since we usually enjoy Autograph Collection hotels. We didn't realize the Christmas tree Elegance festival was happening, which was a bit inconvenient but not a big deal--until we learned there was no self-parking available despite paying for it. So just to further explain we pre-paid $20 to leave car in self parking but because there was nothing available in the self parking we paid $38 and then paid $40 for valet. We should get a refund but the hassle of it all was a bit much. Check-in was also frustrating. Although check-in time is 4 PM, we weren't allowed into our room until almost 7:30 PM. When we finally got upstairs and began settling in, we pulled back the sheets and found multiple yellow stains all over the bed. On top of that, there were spiderwebs on the lamps and what appeared to be a smear on the wall. For a hotel of this caliber--especially at $300 for a one-night stay--this was extremely disappointing. We requested clean sheets, but when they arrived, we had to make the bed ourselves. I'm really not someone who complains, but this was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences I've had, and it unfortunately didn't live up to the reputation The Davenport is known for.

Yelp
This is a GORGEOUS hotel. In December, the whole lobby is decorated for Christmas. It's breathtaking. This lobby and bar are also so stunning and historic feeling. The restaurant, bar, and coffee shop are amazing too. The amenities - a beautiful heated pool, a spa, and a decently stocked gym on the lower level lobby. I thought the rooms would be dated but they are not so - the inside feels luxurious, the floor plans are humongous, and the beds are oh so cozy. There is no sound bleed either! The staff are very nice too. Parking is $28 a night and across the street. Mandatory "resort" charge a night.

Yelp
Had a wonderful 2nd experience here during their PNW food and wine festival. What a treat! Since we haven't experienced the wine areas, this was a great intro to the vineyards WA has to offer. We were blown away by the quality of the wine, service, and food! We had such an amazing time that I think I've convinced some friends to visit for next years! We chose a corner suite again and our pup was in heaven. The bed is very comfortable and the room is nice and spacious. The only recommendation is that it needs a bit of love. For example, the bathroom blinds fell when I tried to lower them. The grout in shower could use a good cleaning too. This historic hotel is a classy gem for Spokane.... We will be back!

Yelp
I was so pleased with my last stay, we chose this location again. From valet, to the front desk, lobby bar and emporium, they are top-notch. Classy, stunning, intimate, accommodating. Enjoyed the beautiful lobby bar this time. Drinks were perfection and our bartender was friendly, personable and accommodating. Made us feel like we were the only ones there, but the place was packed! The destination charge worked a bit different this time. Instead of a $20 coupon, it's a $10 credit that is applied to room charges. This wasn't advertised so I was glad I asked. The Historic hits the mark compared to the Grand and will remain our first choice in this collection.

Yelp
Love this place! We spent my Birthday here and truly had a lovely time. This beautiful historic hotel in downtown Spokane is a must see. Its beginnings in the young years of Spokane to its restoration in the early 2000's is an amazing story. From the beautiful woodworks, amazing murals, and fascinating traditions add that certain something that give the area a little panache. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed. The spa is a luxury with awesome staff and lovely facilities. It's a wonderful place to visit and especially so during the Christmas Holiday.

Yelp
The Davenport Hotel Lobby Bar in Spokane was quite the treat. The Davenport oozes refined history from the moment you enter. The Davenport was opened in 1914 and was known as one of the most innovative hotels in the US at the time. The lobby bar is quite the experience because you are positioned as a spectator right in the middle of the lavish architecture from the Gilded Age. I had the feeling I was enjoying a cocktail and snack in a Venetian Palace. It wasn't hard to find fun shots because of the architecture. There were angles and amazing design everywhere. I loved how these photos came out. The staff were tremendous, offering a welcoming environment with high quality service. The cocktails and snacks were excellent. I enjoyed a lovely Manhattan (photo #2) along with my shrimp cocktail. I've only been to Spokane once before and the Davenport made it one of the more memorable work trips I've taken in a long time. It's always fun to find a beautiful old school hotel that is as beautiful as the quality of the service. I highly recommend visiting if you even find yourself in Eastern Washington. Salute

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful hotel! I was pleasantly surprised to find myself swept up in its rich history--like stepping into a time machine. The vintage photographs showing the rooms in their heyday were fascinating and gave the place a charming, nostalgic vibe. Location? Perfect. You can walk to all the cool spots without breaking a sweat--or a heel. Our room wasn't quite as stunning as the lobby's grandeur suggested, but it was comfortable enough. They make a big deal about their mattresses that are for sale, but I didn't find them life-changing. My kid joined the scavenger hunt, which was a blast--until the prize turned out to be peanut brittle. She's allergic to peanuts, so that was a bit of a plot twist. The staff kindly offered ice cream instead, but the only flavor was... you guessed it: peanut brittle. I mean, who runs an ice cream shop with just one flavor? And that flavor is peanut brittle? Thankfully, we ended up with a bag of gummy bears, which saved the day. Still, I'd suggest offering a peanut-free prize or at least a backup scoop of vanilla for us mere mortals. Overall, a great stay. I'm really glad we experienced it. Next time, we're trying the more modern Davenport, and I'm excited to compare the two. Also, shoutout to the staff: they were on it. Always.

Yelp
The absolute most comfortable beds in Spokane. Directly across from the convention center and located nicely downtown. This is an upscale hotel with all the amenities you could want Keurug machine in the room. Staff is kind and helpful and rooms are very clean

Yelp
Stunning hotel. This is an elegant wonder. The historic hotel is a gem. There are 4 Davenport hotels in Spokane and I have stayed at 3 of them so far and this one is my favorite. A few dining options in the hotel and nearby. The gym is way better than most hotel gyms. The gym is important to me and one critical part of hotel selections. This hotel doesn't disappoint and I would love to come back and visit in the future after I visit the 1 last Davenport I haven't been to yet.

Yelp
This place was insanely bad the restaurant is butt and they made my sweet grandma cry because of how mediocre this place was the food sucked and they gave us a plastic table to eat at very pitiful I will never be goin back

Yelp
We enjoyed a cocktail and enjoyed the lovely holiday decor and scenery! The Christmas trees are lovely. The service at the bar was attentive and the drinks were great. I got an amaretto sour and he enjoyed his aperol spritz. A fun festive place to enjoy a drink and the holidays!

Yelp
I wanted to reach out and let you know that there were a few employees that stood out as exceptional during our stay. Scott, the Bellman went above and beyond to bring us 2 large chairs that were missing from our room and 2 luggage racks (that when we called the front desk, they told us didn't even exist). I know that he had to dig things out of storage & physically work very hard to get them up to our room for us. He also gave us a ton of great suggestions on what to do/eat in the area. Also, down in the Peacock lounge, Dan waited on us and was exceptional!!! He had such a wonderful demeanor and positive attitude, and we loved his service!

Yelp
My husband and I had a nice stay at this property recently. The check in process was a little awkward with only two people working the front desk and the line of people checking in going outside to the valet stand. The automatic sliding doors stayed open and in freezing weather that's not ideal. The line moved fairly quickly but there's not a lot of space and standing outside in the valet area quickly clogs up car pick up as well. Overall it's a beautiful hotel with great historic charm. Our room was quite big and comfortable. The room was clean and the bathroom was big with a great shower and tub. I was looking forward to experiencing their mattresses after hearing lots of hype about them but didn't find them that incredible. The indoor pool and hot tub were nice and the spa is great. Overall it's a nice hotel that I'd recommend to friends and family.

Yelp
Wow this place is cooler and better looking than I expected I'm surprised they don't call it the Grand Additionally, David at the front desk is very accommodating and friendly. Thanks for helping our stay be even more memorable

Yelp
The accounting department will not return my calls and I've been trying all week. I am trying to get a receipt for my stay and also received a random $19 charge.

Yelp
I booked to stay 2 nights for a convention. I arrived at 1:30pm and they had an unreasonably long line with only one check in person. At the desk, they said my room wouldn't be ready until 4pm. Ok. Come back to an even longer line about 4:15pm and still one attendant. I mean really long. After waiting. 20 minutes in line and still not nearing the front, I got a voicemail saying. I'd been moved across downtown to the new building. Had to Uber over. I checked out early in the morning for a flight. I vividly know that I left a $1100 designer shirt in the closet. I called the next day and spoke to lost and found. The man said he didn't have the shirt and did not ask for any contact information in case is showed up. Overall, fine hotel but seems poorly managed for the level of stars.

Yelp
First the good. The hotel is old-timey and beautiful, especially during Christmas. They have a gorgeous new '20's style lobby bar, emporium, pool, and spa. Everything you need and a lot of walkable places, although the homeless make that less desirable. Our room was equally beautiful. The bad: went to the Lobby Bar for a drink before dinner and the staff were not friendly or attentive. Took them over 5 minutes while one guy was making drinks right in front of us without so much as a word. A couple came in after we were finally spoken to by the female bartender and the guy standing in front of us still making drinks immediately started speaking to them as they seemed to be have been in before; what a slap in the face. Our bartender didn't say anything to us except that she was eavesdropping and heard us talking about a great meal we had and wanted to know where. Not impressed and wouldn't go back. For the room itself, the bed is not very comfortable and is very lumpy. When we got to our room a table light was out and the battery on the safe was dead and they had to replace the whole safe. First stay and would stay again but their staff needs work at the bar.

Yelp
Tiffany my server was friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is old world European architecture. I had the Davenport Crab Louis which was fresh and flavorful. What a treat to have this dish where it originated! Historic, upscale but not stuffy, great food and accommodating friendly outgoing staff.

Jacki P.

Yelp
I had a long term stay at the Historic Davenport and spent almost $4,000. I had terrible housekeeping service while there (had to take out my own garbage, etc.). Due to this the customer service (front desk?) manager Robert at the time worked it out so I could have a gift card and a future free night stay. I used up the gift card during the remainder of my stay. I was told my account would have the free stay noted and I could use it any time. Well, I just tried to redeem this promised stay and someone named Sharista? (who claimed to be in charge with no one above her for me to speak to) informed me that I would not be given this free stay after all and that the person who promised it to me is no longer working there. I can see that customer service has not improved since my stay which is very unfortunate because the hotel itself is beautiful.

Rynae M.

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay at the Historic Davenport. We loved the room and the hotel. The staff was extraordinary and went above and beyond in everything we asked. I had to take off one start however due to the billing. Just an FYI to everyone out there. We reserved through the hotel's website, which is actually a 3rd party company. Due to the 3rd party site, we had additional charges when we reserved the room. Then at the end of our stay, the hotel did a separate billing for "incidentals." So our $155/night for 2 nights turned into $550 total! Really, nothing was exactly a surprise, but it took us to a different level of spending than we though we were getting when we first looked at it.

Yelp
Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Beautiful architecture. Located downtown, this is the nicest of several Davenport hotels in the immediate area. I stayed three nights. This one has an indoor pool and spa. Not all do. Secure valet parking. Wonderful front desk personnel. Same for the service in the bar and restaurant areas. There was no mini fridge in the room, but I was told the front desk could provide one if needed. The room was spacious, with two Queen beds, as requested. Plenty of outlets and USB ports to plug or charge most anything. Odd thing was housekeeping. My second day I saw that the towels had been replaced and the trash emptied. But the beds seemed in disarray. The main sheet was pulled up, but incompletely tucked under the mattress in a rushed way. Pillows were haphazardly tossed on top. I assumed that the housekeeper was pulled away for some reason and forgot to return. I mentioned this to the front desk and told them I didn't need special service, but to simply alert Housekeeping for the next day. I was told it would be handled. The next day the same thing happened. See the attached pics. So now I'm thinking that perhaps there's not regular housekeeping service, but merely towel service. That would explain everything. Though I didn't see this noted anywhere, and the front desk wasn't aware. The beds were extra comfy, though, and I got a wonderful sleep. You can actually purchase a new, custom mattress and linens at their shop next to the front desk and have them shipped anywhere. A portion of your stay will discount the purchase as well. Very reasonably priced. Lastly, they make the BEST soft peanut brittle there! Wonderful for gift giving or to eat yourself. Chocolate or plain. Delicious!

Yelp
Hmm well all I can say is that numerous people said this was the nicest hotel in town, and I'm still waiting to feel this way. In fact I'm on night two of a 3 night stay and I'm still waiting for it to NOT be one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. So, shall we start? 1. Quite a lot of the lobby is under some sort of renovation, and if you look at the gilded ceiling your mind can imagine the lobby once being very grand, once your eyes are level with the walls and make-shift facades, grandness is erased and you just feel like you're in a construction zone. 2. Palm Court Grille, this restaurant is cold, a/c to the max. The clam chowder is basically the base of French onion soup with clams. 3. Lemon drops from peacock. The single best thing I've experienced at the hotel. 4. Day 2 I had the valet bring my car to the front. It was covered with this soot like sticky substance. I asked the valet about it, he remarked there might have been work being done. The next valet I talk to about it after I spent 30 bucks at the car wash argued me down insinuating I just didn't realize my car was sticky when I brought it to the hotel but of course I'd only notice this sticky condition when picking up from valet?!? How insulting, if you don't have the grace to apologize, or the power to rectify, why not just acknowledge, but he thought it would be best to argue 5. A family with a loud abusive father is of course sharing a wall. His loud abusive profanity woke me up a couple of times and I had to call the front desk but hello, that's just weird albeit not the hotels fault, but definitely not adding to the experience. 6. Dirty bathroom, seems like there are dried loogies or boogers on the bathroom walls 7. Tried to order one of those great lemon drops to not be bummed about being stuck one more evening and guess what? They aren't accepting orders because they are busy. So, unlike other Marriott properties, room service is entirely dependent on their business volume. This property needs to go to hotel boot camp. A complete renovation with new carpeting would also be appropriate.

David P.

Yelp
Five of us went to lunch and two of us said their lunch was okay while three were unimpressed with our food. The service was good and ambiance was nice.

Susan T.

Yelp
I love the Davenport, and my husband and I combined a business trip I had with returning to our favorite hotel in Spokane. We pre paid the room, and three hours ago there was a cancellation notice sent to us with no explanation. We have sat on hold for hours trying to see why they cancelled it, but there is no one answering their phones. Super disappointed, and we had to rebook elsewhere and none of the customer service options do anything to give any help. Probably not going to book again.

Yelp
I stayed here for 2 nights for the first time. I felt the history as soon as I entered the hotel. The woman at the reception desk quickly and politely gave me my room key card. My room was room 516. The room is large, with a TV, sofas, desk, 4 large windows, and a king-sized bed. The bathroom was also spacious and I filled up the hot tub every night. It was a little too wide for me, but it was better than being narrow. The bed sheets were of good quality, but the six pillows were too soft and uncomfortable. I tried making Starbucks coffee using the coffee maker in the room, but it didn't taste good, so I went to the Starbucks in the lobby on the first floor and had a cappuccino. The good thing about this room was that the phone charger was fast. During my two-day stay, I received $20 meal voucher each day and a free wine tasting voucher. I recommend that you use it if you receive it. Just be aware that you will be charged additional property fees (Tourism fee: USD 5 per accommodation, per night *Destination fee: USD 20 per accommodation, per night after you finally check out of the hotel. I ate at the restaurant in the hotel and was satisfied with the very good service. I would like to stay here again when I come to Spokane.

Tonja P.

Yelp
We stayed at the Historical Davenport Hotel on 9/20/25. The room smelled old, and stains all over the fabric bench and chair. The bed had wrinkles under the sheets, so took sheet back ti straight out the mattress pad, that had slid down. 2 wrinkled mattress pads found, both with large human fluid stains, as well as the bottom sheet with large stain in the middle of the sheet. So disgusting, these sheets and pads have not been washed, they should have been thrown out. We were so grossed out, we checked out, demanded our money back, and went home. E-mailed the manager, with pictures, who has not responded back to us, it has been over a week. Will never stay at the Davenport again. Looked like a hooker and her John used the bed, and the hotel re-rented the room out again, without cleaning the room or changing out the soiled linens with clean, washed, not stained sheets, and just threw the comforter over the top of the nasty, stained smelly sheets.

Yelp
The new Lobby Bar in the Historic Davenport Hotel is amazing. It is by far the classiest bar for meeting, conversation, drinks light fare in all of Spokane. A relatively new bartender, Stephen Ryan, is amazing. He is always friendly, courteous and professional. He provides very fast service. His knowledge of cocktails is amazing and is always able to recommend just drink for my wife to match perfectly with her mood and what we are eating. If you are in downtown Spokane, make sure to try the Historic Davenport Lobby Bar. And ask for Stephen Ryan.

Yelp
Beautiful, and timeless, with exceptional customer service. The hotel is clean cozy with lots of explore. The 24/hour gym is great with plenty of equipment for all needs, the gym could definitely use a deep cleaning though. Everything was dirty and the floors in particular needed some serious help. There are additional expenses to plan for when staying here: a daily parking fee of $25-$35, a daily amenities fee of $25, a daily $15 fee for a refrigerator, and a daily $15 fee for a microwave. You will want to bring your own water as it's pricey to purchase water through the hotel. The rooms are comfortable with nice soaps, and a great bed. But the pillows are absolutely awful and completely flat. If you can I highly recommend you bring your own pillow from home. The hotel has a lovely spa that is well worth the investment, and was the highlight of my trip. We would likely stay at a different hotel downtown if we were to come back this way.

Brianne B.

Yelp
Only giving this 5 stars because of the service and staff! Absolutely stellar individuals that are the best of the best!! However the room quality and cleanliness of the Apartment Suite is about a 2/3 out of 5. The thick layer of spit and bacteria growth behind the bathroom faucet is groooooooosssss! It's still there. We covered it with a wash cloth the couches are so broke down you fall into them. Same story with the king bed. I've stayed in multiple other Davenport rooms and those beds are great. This bed is not. For the cost of this suite, please do better.

Yelp
Elegant. Well managed. Overall put together. While on my trip I got the luxury of staying at the Davenport Hotel. The second I walked in I was struck by its beauty. Its animal and gold themed rooms added to the luxurious experience that makes this hotel worth the stay. Every second I could see staff being attentive to all guests and room service did an amazing job at making sure the rooms were well kept.

Yelp
On Friday, September 27th I went to the new bar at the Historic hotel for drinks and appetizers with friends. One of the items we ordered was the chicken lollipops. When they arrived at the table, I ate one off of the pick and was surprised at the soft, gooey tetxture; I was expecting more of a meaty bite. We cut the remaining meatballs open and discovered they were completely raw inside (photo attached). Although the exterior was clearly browned and cooked, the interior was not cooked at all. I had just eaten a mouthful of raw chicken, and felt the "unpleasant" after-effects throughout the following weekend. While the lollipops were comped on our bill, no manager came to the table to apologize and subsequent attempts to speak with management at the hotel have gone unanswered. The feedback form on the Historic website is not functioning at all, despite several attempts to submit a message using different browsers and different devices. I phoned the restaurant manager's office three times this past week and left a voicemail each time with information about what had occurred, asking that someone return my call. I have not received a call back, which has led to this negative review. I am not a person to post negative feedback or comments, but this is beyond the pale. Needless to say, I am incredibly shocked and disappointed in your establishment. Since the reopening of the Historic hotel, I have often frequented your restaurants and bars as well as attended many events there over the years. I will now think twice about that in the future.

Yelp
The Davenport use to the place to stay. It was amazing. Now it's time for a remodel. It still has its charm but things are beat up. Torn curtains, rust in the bathroom, screw holes from repairs and rooms that smell of mildew.

Yelp
Im giving three stars because I left my insulin the fridge in my room and they threw two bottles of insulin away and I have not head back from anyone about it. I recently spent a few days at the Historic and I loved it. The staff are kind, the atmosphere is amazing, the food is questionable. I ordered the duck breast and it was honestly the nastiest meal I have ever had in my life.

Yelp
Place was really neat. The architecture was amazing. Love this old hotel . They don't make them like this anymore

Yelp
My wife and I were in town for a few days and we had a gift card so we decided to use it. Welived in Spokane for about 34 years and considered the Davenport a first class hotel and restaurant. However things have changed since living there. I ordered the 67$ prime rib dinner. What received was a cold hunk of poorly seasoned and cooked meat. Placed atop a cold scoop of mashed potatoes and 5 cold asparagus spears. Our appetizer came out with our entrees. The server apologized and removed it from the bill. We were very disappointed with our experience. Please try to do better because I know you can.

Yelp
Skip the bar. It's a nice setting but awful service. I waited 45 minutes for one order of sliders. Eventually, as soon as I cancelled them they arrived, but I told the server I cancelled because they took 45 minutes. Her response? Do you want a box? Best part is they didn't take them off the bill. They definitely could do better. Nice ceiling though.

Yelp
Probably the best place to stay in downtown Spokane. Comfortable, central location, and Marriott points makes this an easy choice. My recent stay was comfortable and convenient. Quiet rooms and nice bed for a good night's sleep is what I wanted and it delivered again.

Yelp
Not a good feeling to wait 1.5 hours for food and then see the couple next to you that waited 10 minutes get a free fancy cheesecake "on the house because of how long it's taking." 5 minutes later we got our food and they got theirs. Nice. Ruined all the plans we had for the day. The manager didn't even blink an eye or say anything just threw the food on our table and left. Nice service, guys

Yelp
The hotel is gorgeous. However, we will not be returning. We made reservations months ago to be at the hotel for 2 nights to attend their NY Eve party. When we checked in at 4 p.m., we were told there wasn't a room available. After an hour, we went back to the desk, and still no room available. We finally got into our room. The water glasses were dirty, and even lipstick was still on the glasses. Called the front desk, and glasses were delivered but still not very clean and fingerprints all over them from the person who brought them. My husband got into the tub, and the soap dispenser was empty. We alerted the front desk, and it wasn't corrected. The light in the bathroom made an odd loud noise all night. We alerted the front desk, and it wasn't corrected. The next day, our room had been serviced, but unbelievablably poorly. A pile of towels placed on the tub, our bed straightened but not remade, our used dirty wine glasses not removed. Service in the Palm Court for breakfast was poor. We waited over 10 minutes for a server to acknowledge us. The valet service was excellent. All departments, with the exception of the valet, appear to be mismanaged, short staffed, or a combination. We spoke to other guests, and they all agreed that their experience was the same of staying at the Davenport. It just isn't the same as it was in the past. I hope management will read this and make some serious improvements. The hotel is such a beautiful place, and it is such a shame that the hotel guest experience isn't what it should be.

Yelp
Beautiful, old world charm. Comfortable, beds a delight. Should have a frig for seniors meds. Definitely need better communication for parking availability. But the beauty unsurpassed

Yelp
Very nice and full of charm. Wish downtown Spokane felt a little safer, but the hotel has valet parking.

Yelp
Our second stay here at this classic historic hotel. The lobby, the Palm Court Grill, the Peacock room, the historic walking tour of the hotel, all are unforgettable for their beauty and unique history.

Yelp
Lets start with the most important feature, the pillows are terrible. Once your head hits it, all the air in their balloon pillows lets out. They have pamphlets on how to "buy your mattress" our mattress was on a 10 degree angle the entire stay. Was not enjoyable nor luxurious. The bathroom/shower was very nice as was the location of the hotel.

Yelp
This hotel has seen better days--like, way better. It's been on a downhill slide for the past five years, and I gave them a pass during COVID, but now it's like they're auditioning for a horror movie. At first, I thought it was a prank, or maybe they just forgot to clean the room. But no, it was real. Here's a highlight reel of my stay in room 913 from 8/1-8/3: An empty (used) water bottle playing hide-and-seek behind the nightstand. Toenail clippings next to the bed, because who doesn't love a surprise pedicure? A ripped seat cushion that looks like it lost a fight with a wolverine. Mystery white stains on the blanket--I'll let your imagination run wild on that one. An electrical outlet hanging out of the wall in the bathroom, adding a touch of danger to your morning routine.

Yelp
We checked into our room which was dated but seemed nice enough. When I turned down the bed, as others have reviewed here, there were FRESH blood spots on the bed. Like someone was picking their back and laid down. This was not a dirty room like the room wasn't ready yet, the bed was MADE as if it was changed, but obviously the sheets were never changed. So gross. Even grosser to read the other people here with the same experience. We called down to the front desk, where they were not surprised or apologetic, just asked if we wanted new sheets or a new room. Gross. So gross. We got a new room. We were not offered an apology or any sort of credit to anything. The new room was basic with zero view but at least the bed was clean. The bathroom however was not. Luckily we only had 2 nights here bc it was pretty bad. The valet guys were super nice though. The front desk was not helpful. What happened here? It used to be so cool!

Yelp
There's so much history behind the hotel. Note there are several Davenport Hotel so make sure you are looking at the Historic located on Post. The hotel was originally opened in 1914, closed in 1985 and was ready to be demolished in 2000 when it was purchased and was completed gutted and rooms rebuilt and reopened in 2002. There's so much history and you can see it and feel it as soon as you walk in. I was there mid-Dec so the Christmas decorations added to the beauty of the lobby. The rooms have older fixtures and furniture which fit the historic theme. Although furniture is not modern, rooms is well kept and not run down. Bathroom is very spacious including a huge shower. Great location as it located in Downtown Spokane and it walkable to many restaurants, bars and shopping mall.
