The Hive Hotel

Awesome beach front resort in Lamai. Not a 5 star property but it suited us perfectly. We had the cheapest room and it was 1 min walk to the pool on the beach. Great location literally on the beach and only a 2 min walk to the main strip of Lamai. Also beautiful gardens surrounding the rooms. Highly recommended and we’d def stay here again

Lovely, relaxed resort in a great location on Lamai beach. The rooms are very comfortable, and the staff are wonderful! The buffet breakfast caters for all tastes and was served in the dining room adjacent to the pool and beach area. So breakfast done and straight onto a sun bed! The resort is like a well-maintained jungle, and this meant quite a few mosquitos, the only negative thing we found. The resort does all it can to reduce this issue, but you will need repellant to hand when sitting outside your room!

Staying at the hive hotel in Lamai was so enjoyable. Friendly and helpful staff, amenities were clean and food was unreal. The location of the hotel was epic, sitting on the nicest area of the beach for swimming and right off the main road where shops/restaurants sit for dinner and night activities. Will definitely be back!!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Hive hotel. We stayed here for more than 3 weeks. The room was nice and clean, the garden beautiful and the hotel is situated right at the beach. Can’t be better. Breakfast is very good, you surely find something you like to eat. But the very best is the staff, the cleaning staff, the gardener, personal in the restaurant and in reception are so nice, friendly and service minded, thanks so much, we love you all. We really recommend The Hive Hotel.

I enjoyed my stay, the sea is next to you from the hotel can be accessed, Rooms are acceptable with the price value, it was clean. Toilet was clean as well . Breakfast was included and it was acceptable , they also provide omlet but you need to order it, free of charge They provide towels in the pool area for the beach and the pool. The pool was greecy a bit . Otherwise i had a nice stay and will repeat Excellent location near all markets where you can enjoy LAMAI night market with variety of food

This is a wonderful hotel, very comfortable with a rustic style. All the rooms have a little outdoor area to sit and listen to the birds. The room is spacious and immaculate. The bedding and the pillows is five star quality. The most important part is the pool and beach area, which is so beautiful and well-maintained. You can sit outside all day and watch the sea from comfortable lounge chairs. The breakfast and restaurant has excellent food, a lot of breakfast options. This place would be nothing without the stellar management team. Everyone is so kind, They can arrange all kinds of transportation for you with a big smile and they even have same-day laundry service when I come back. I’m definitely staying here. This is the only place to stay.

The Hive Hotel was a delightful little ‘find’ after trawling the internet for quiet, friendly hotels in Lamai Beach. A stones throw from the main resort and restaurants means you can walk to any one of dozens of restaurants in the evening or visit the night market and do a little shopping but when you get back to the hotel the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful gardens restore your sanity! |We stayed in one of the garden villas - I can heartily recommend! We were yards from the beach and pool (and bar!)|The whole hotel was very efficiently run, super cleaning staff, very busy groundsmen and helpful, friendly restaurant staff. |We had previously stayed in 4*, spa style , large chain resorts but in all honesty there was little difference in the service we received! OK, no spa products in the bathroom or towels folded into swans but very lovely all the same.

Well located hotel on the beach within easy walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants. Staff are all wonderful - so pleasant and helpful. |Rooms are fine with a decent sized en suite bathroom. Breakfast range is excellent and constantly replenished whether you go at 8am or 11am.
