The Hive Kitchen & Bar

Found this gem on a whim looking on maps for a restaurant in the area. What a find!! Comfortable, casual elegance with beautifully curated spaces that offers a mix of classic esthetics blended into a magical, warm atmosphere. The food is phenomenal. Party of 6, including two teen boys. Our starters- Loaded nachos, quesadillas, roasted brussels. Can definitely recommend an Old Fashioned from the bar. Mains - Roasted veggies rice bowls from vegetarian menu *we added grilled chicken breast Hive burger with fries French dip with fries Kids burger and fries with fruit We all finished full and extremely happy with leftovers Then it was off to the honey store and chocolate chip cookie for Sr from the dessert counter.

Food is great! Drink was very good espresso martini. Kenny the manager is very friendly and helpful all the wait staff very friendly and kind even though they we very busy. Atmosphere is fantastic. Restaurants very clean. Not far off I 5, thought we would try something new and very glad we did.

Just visited the most charming family-run restaurant and honey shop 🐝🍽️ – seriously a hidden gem! They’ve got a live hive on-site (yes, really!), and the honey is as fresh as it gets. 🍯 The menu? Pure farm-to-fork goodness with amazing gluten-free and vegetarian options that don’t compromise on flavor. Oh – and the bar? Cozy, creative, and the perfect finish to an unforgettable meal. 🍹

The atmosphere was great, the staff was very friendly and nice. The food was excellent, not to mention the place was clean. It was amazing to see the bees working away in the display, now we get to the honey. Oh my goodness, never have I had such amazing tasting honey. I can't say enough, you just have to experience it for yourself, worth the effort to go to Orland.

The food was good. But the customer service in this place leaves a lot to be desired, unfortunately. My nephew waited 20 minutes for his flight of mimosa's, my s'mores coffee was fantastic. But the service was really non existent. The waitress took forever to take our order. Once we received our order which also took an obnoxiously long time, the server never came out to ask us how it was and if we liked it. Then we continued to wait for our server to come back and ask us for a check or a box . We waited so long here and received poor service. This was my first time at this location and it will definitely be my last. Not sure what the hype is about . But whatever use to make this place shine is apparently no longer present. Very disappointed and depressing

It is my daughter’s birthday and this was her choice to have her first legal drink. This is the crown jewel of Orland, what a beautiful spot. It has a spot where they sell honey, a coffee bar, restaurant and well stocked bar too. The staff is super knowledgeable and very professional, they really make sure you are having a good time. There are several separate venues where you can have large or small gatherings, it is a one stop shop for fun. You can see live bees or their bee display too that is super cool and well worth the visit. The food was tremendous, artsy and healthy with great portion size. I got a bite of everything and was super impressed. I chose the fried chicken and 🥰it. This is one place you all need to try.

Until now I never really had a need to visit Orland for fine dining. Apparently the hive has been open for a few years. The service was great, great ambiance, lunch or dinner definitely worth a visit

This is an amazing restaurant. The service was amazing and the food was so so good. It was flavorful and unique. They actually raise bees here and use their honey which I think is very cool. They offer samples and use it in their food, so you can taste how amazing it is. One of my favorite things there was the ice cream!! They used their honey in it and wow, it's some of the best ice cream I've ever had. As well as amazing dessert options, the burger, tacos, and matcha I had were also amazing. All in all, the amazing atmosphere and staff combined with good food make The Hive an incredible restaurant.
