I stayed in a Deluxe Double room on level 3 for 4 nights. Check-in is fuss free but Check out took a while as they could not locate my laundry bill initially. Although the staff spoke limited English, they are always warm and helpful.||||The best feature of this hotel is perhaps the shower pressure. It is by far the best among the 3 same star hotels I stayed in myanmar trip. The bed is so comfortable. The hotel is located along a main street which is not really busy so noise is not an issue even though I'm staying. There are however, renovation going on inside and construction works outside during the day. You’ll be fine so long you don't intend to take an afternoon nap. ||||The cable TV channels available may have revealed the guests profile. 90% of the channels are mainland chinese channels (with no english subs) appealing to mature groups. The other channels include 1 Thai channel, 1 bollywood channel, 1 football channel and TV Monde 5. An English news channel would have been nice. ||||The hotel breakfast buffet is really basic and there’s always a queue at the egg station, but it sufficient to kickstart the day. There are some food kiosks across the streets. However, I am not keen to tackle the chilly weather and tricky traffic early in the morning so I stick to the restaurant for my entire stay. As an added bonus, you can watch the sunrise from the hotel restaurant as it features an unblocked view of Mandalay city. Pity the restaurant is closed after breakfast. Power outages are fairly common in Myanmar and I experienced it a few times on 2 days but the power will come back within minutes. WiFi connection is generally great most of the time but may be choppy for a while after each power outage.||||The hotel also helped me to engage a driver for Pyin Ow Lwin which I totally enjoyed the trip. The only negative thing I have to say is the housekeeping team really need to buck up. They missed a cup sitting on same spot unwashed for 3 days and on the last day, they missed my making up my room altogether. Nonetheless, they swiftly delivered my towels and water bottle after I called.||||I booked the hotel via a flash deal. For the price I paid, I think the hotel does offer value for money.||||Tips: ||Taxi from Hotel to Airport cost 30,000 kyat if you get the hotel to arrange for you but it will only cost 14,700 kyat if you use Grab App to hail Taxi. ||||If you are on a budget, check out Shan Ma Ma which is only 6-7 minutes walk away from the hotel. Crossing road in Myanmar is tricky though.||Alternatively, the slightly pricer BBQ restaurant 99 with helpful staff is really nice too.
