We were very happy with our choice of "The Home Hotel". The staff was excellent, very friendly and professional. The room was spacious, newly renovated and spotlessly clean. A lot of storage space, bedside tables and plugs on both sides of the bed, good Wi-Fi. There were some power cuts as everywhere in Myanmar, but the hotel fixed it with their generator in short time so AC was running all night if needed. the bed was on the firm side but comfortable enough to have a good night’s sleep. New bathroom with good shower. Highly recommended. Update: also our second stay was very good. Breakfast has a lot of choices. Central location and Tuktuks readily available for short trips to all central Mandalay sightseeing, restaurants etc. Staff is professional and very helpful. Would always book again.

Bed and comforter quality is good. Housekeeping is well done and the shower's water pressure is satisfying. The breakfast spread is decent and the roof top restaurant offers an awesome view. If you are smell-sensitive like me, ask for a non-smoking room as some rooms have cigarette smell from the previous dwellers.

I stayed in a Deluxe Double room on level 3 for 4 nights. Check-in is fuss free but Check out took a while as they could not locate my laundry bill initially. Although the staff spoke limited English, they are always warm and helpful.||||The best feature of this hotel is perhaps the shower pressure. It is by far the best among the 3 same star hotels I stayed in myanmar trip. The bed is so comfortable. The hotel is located along a main street which is not really busy so noise is not an issue even though I'm staying. There are however, renovation going on inside and construction works outside during the day. You’ll be fine so long you don't intend to take an afternoon nap. ||||The cable TV channels available may have revealed the guests profile. 90% of the channels are mainland chinese channels (with no english subs) appealing to mature groups. The other channels include 1 Thai channel, 1 bollywood channel, 1 football channel and TV Monde 5. An English news channel would have been nice. ||||The hotel breakfast buffet is really basic and there’s always a queue at the egg station, but it sufficient to kickstart the day. There are some food kiosks across the streets. However, I am not keen to tackle the chilly weather and tricky traffic early in the morning so I stick to the restaurant for my entire stay. As an added bonus, you can watch the sunrise from the hotel restaurant as it features an unblocked view of Mandalay city. Pity the restaurant is closed after breakfast. Power outages are fairly common in Myanmar and I experienced it a few times on 2 days but the power will come back within minutes. WiFi connection is generally great most of the time but may be choppy for a while after each power outage.||||The hotel also helped me to engage a driver for Pyin Ow Lwin which I totally enjoyed the trip. The only negative thing I have to say is the housekeeping team really need to buck up. They missed a cup sitting on same spot unwashed for 3 days and on the last day, they missed my making up my room altogether. Nonetheless, they swiftly delivered my towels and water bottle after I called.||||I booked the hotel via a flash deal. For the price I paid, I think the hotel does offer value for money.||||Tips: ||Taxi from Hotel to Airport cost 30,000 kyat if you get the hotel to arrange for you but it will only cost 14,700 kyat if you use Grab App to hail Taxi. ||||If you are on a budget, check out Shan Ma Ma which is only 6-7 minutes walk away from the hotel. Crossing road in Myanmar is tricky though.||Alternatively, the slightly pricer BBQ restaurant 99 with helpful staff is really nice too.

The staff are very helpful and friendly, speaks good English. The room is spacious and clean with room service available.||||We stayed one night before taking bus to inle lake and coming back at 4 plus am to the same hotel. The staff was nice enough to let us check in early. ||||Also, had a bit of issue with the mosquito everywhere in Mandalay and the staff went the extra mile to help me burn the coil to put in the room.||||Kudos to the team ! Will come back again.

We stayed 3 nights in The Home Hotel and had a relaxing stay. The room itself was confortable and clean and the staff was kind and friendly all time. They helped us to get a tuk tuk when no one was around and also with the cancellation of our flight. But the most amazing experience were the 2 1/2 day trips with Ko Yar. He is an excellent driver and has shown us all the beautiful places in and around Mandalay (he's speaking English very well!!). Due to these great trips we decided to go with him to Inle Lake instead of flying and are really thankful for this decision. Don't forget to ask the reception for a trip with him when you are around!!

The hotel is centrally located in Mandalay. Comfortable. Big rooms and good air-conditioning.|We highly recommend driver and guide Mr Ko-Yar who is associated with The Home Hotel. |His car is comfortable and he is polite and helpful. |Mr Ko-Yar took us for a day tour around Mandalay and also drove us to Bagan. They were great experiences. He is a careful driver. He also does airport transfers too.

Home hotel has very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are clean and nice. I had a comfortable stay.|The highlight was that the hotel arranged a wonderful guided tour with Mr. Ko Yar,he took very good care of me for 2 days in Mandalay and Bagan. He showed me the historic and scenic sights, but most memorable was all the local insights in to culture and daily life in Myanmar. He answered all my questions and took very good care of me during my visit. Highly recommend him to anyone visiting Mandalay for a special and beautiful visit. His number is +959798716442
