The Home Place Inn

My husband and I enjoyed 6 nights at the Home Place Inn while exploring the beautiful Prince Edward Island. The location of the B&B is perfect! It is within walking distance to downtown Kensington, and it is less than an hour drive to Charlottetown, Summerside, Ann of Green Gables, and the many beaches, |Home Place Inn offers several rooms. We stayed in the Stella room. The door to our room opened to an entrance hall. To the left was a large bathroom with tub and shower and two cozy bathrobes. To the right was our bedroom with a comfortable queen sized bed, rocking chair, dresser, TV, microwave, and fridge. The room does not have air conditioning, but it did have a tower fan. Our stay was during an unusually hot spell; however, we were very comfortable in our room. |Andrew and Beth are the owners of the B&B. They were very welcoming and accommodating ensuring we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. |Breakfast was included. We could choose between western omelettes, traditional eggs, meats, toast, and potatoes, pancakes, blueberry pancakes, French toast, oatmeal, etc. Since our stay was 6 nights I sampled everything! Beth is a very good cook. So, everything was delicious, but my favorites were the fluffy pancakes loaded with blueberries, the perfectly crisp bacon, and the fried potatoes. I wish I knew the secret seasoning Beth put on her potatoes. They were yummy!!! |This was our first visit to Prince Edward Island and to Home Place Inn, but God willing it will not be our last. We fell in love with the beautiful landscapes and people of PEI. It felt like a second home. Thank you, Andrew and Beth, for a lovely stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed 3 days/nights in the John Wilfred room at this lovely B&B. Our bed was so comfortable, the room was spacious and the ensuite washroom with walk-in shower was perfect for our needs. The new owners (Beth & Andrew) were lovely and we enjoyed 3 delicious home cooked breakfasts, served by Beth. The location is very close to Cavendish, Summerside, Thunder Cove and many other locations. There are lovely areas both outside and inside to enjoy quiet time. Plus the Inn has a lot of historical aspects. I highly recommend this wonderful B&B as you will not be disappointed.

When we first heard The Home Place had changed hands we were a bit concerned. But that concern quickly went away when we were treated by Beth and shown to our room! It was lovely. And Best, she was amazing! She even handled making our dinner reservations for us! Lastly, our breakfast was great!! Thank you for a lovely stay!!

Stayed for 3 days at the Home Place Inn and the new owners were fantastic. Very accommodating and willing to help with my dietary restrictions (Gluten free). My room was clean and sanitary, felt just at home. The old Victorian aesthetic was beautiful and the location was perfect, restaurants nearby and lots of places to walk and enjoy the sun.

A great place to stay! New owners were extremely welcoming and helpful during my stay. Breakfast was great and rooms were clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Beautiful bed and breakfast quite close to our friends who live in Park Corner. Greg has done a fabulous job creating the antique feel of this century plus old home. Common areas are gorgeous and we really enjoyed our stay in John Wilfred’s room - beautiful nautical details at every turn. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and a joyful experience in the cheery dining room. We would definitely stay here again - thank you Greg for our glorious late summer stay!

We had the absolute best time staying at the Home Place. My entire bridal party stayed for two nights and we all got ready there on my wedding day. The breakfast was absolutely incredible and Greg and Angie made us feel right at home. My husband and I stayed there for a few days afterward and had a wonderful stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and Angie was very quick to check if there was anything we needed. The breakfast area is beautiful and I truly cannot say enough good things about the food. One of my bridesmaids was vegan and gluten free and they accommodated her no problem. We will be going back for many future anniversaries to come!

We stayed one night while exploring the surrounding area. Perfect location. Beautiful historic house. We had the honeymoon suite ( married 35 years!) very private with ensuite and beautifully furnished.|Breakfast beat anything we could have found nearby. We were able to spend some time with host Greg at his bar for a nightcap, what a great guy! Highly recommend!
