The Honey Well

Super cute cocktail bar that's perfect for date night. The bar is downstairs and dimly lit. There is a lot of seating at the bar but typically it's full on a busy Friday or Saturday night. It's best to make a reservation, though you could get lucky and get a table in the back after 20/30 min wait. The team has done an amazing job crafting creative cocktails which are worth the try. The food menu is small and tasty, but if you want a full meal I suggest going somewhere else. Definitely worth checking out and doing some bar hopping that includes the Honeywell!

Really loved the aesthetic and overall vibe of this spot, overall great atmosphere. The staff was attentive and accommodating, when we mentioned the music, they adjusted it right away, which really elevated the experience. The menu had a mix of classic and creative signatures, plus mocktail versions of some favorites. Everything was well made, flavorful, and you could definitely feel the pour. I’d come back again.

The Honey Well is one of my favorite nightcap spots in Hamilton Heights! I always feel welcome by the staff, and they attract what the hell a cool clientele. The music is always on point, and it is always a pleasure to be served by master mixologist Mark.

Great food. Chicken skewers came in decent portion and were seasoned well. Drinks were great and crept up on me slowly. My friend’s drink came with a show. Love the decor. Service was a little slow but it was pretty busy. Will definitely come again!

If you’re in New York City and don’t stop by Honeywell, you’re seriously missing out. From the moment I sat down, the experience was elite. Mark, the bartender, is the real deal—knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly passionate about his craft. Every drink recommendation was spot-on, and each cocktail was made to absolute perfection. You can tell when someone truly understands balance, flavor, and presentation—and Mark nails it every single time. The waitstaff (Luna, Laura, Sydney) deserves just as much praise. All three were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cool people who made the vibe even better. They gave excellent food recommendations, checked in at the perfect moments, and made the entire experience feel effortless and fun. The energy, professionalism, and warmth of the team really set this place apart. Great drinks. Great food. Great people. Incredible atmosphere. Amazing bar with an excellent martini and many other incredible signature drinks. This is the best place to roll up for a cocktail on a weekend and make use of the every day happy hour, 4-7. The food is great, discounts on classic cocktails. Strongly recommend the Apple Jack cocktail as well.

Unique space, great vibe, excellent food. The menu is fun and there is something here for everyone. Staff and hostess were very pleasant and attentive. Now the drinks, seemingly the highlight here: where is the alcohol? Had two cocktails in half an hour without a hint of a buzz... and where are the cool glasses that are pictured all over your instagram? Definitely not the experience that is advertised! Next time will sit at the bar and watch closely :)

Excellent cocktail bar! The 70s decor is perfect (including a Colt 45 ad) and really sets the mood. Lighting is low and yellow. Repeating pattern wallpaper. Honeycomb and bee motifs sprinkled around. Cocktails are beautifully done and the smell of charred wood is nice when customers order the Monk Fashioned. If you're a bourbon person, they have some very nice allocated bottles! I saw some Pappy, Elijah Craig 18 and 23 yr, George T Stagg, and others. They are VERY expensive pours though. Still, that they have them at all is cool. I got Weller 12 at $30/pour. This is a gem of a spot with good drinks and great food. You should absolutely go!
