If you're in the mood for a casual brunch in the Jersey City/Hoboken area, The Horseshoe Kitchen & Bar might seem like a solid choice—but don't expect anything too groundbreaking.
The atmosphere is one of its main draws. It's cozy and relaxed, with a decent amount of natural light flooding in from the open doors. The vibe is very much on the "chill weekend brunch" end of the spectrum, making it a great spot if you're looking for something low-key. The service is friendly but can feel a little slow during peak hours, so be prepared for a bit of a wait.
When it comes to food, it’s perfectly fine but nothing to write home about. We ordered the Calcutta Noodles and the Grilled Chicken Rice Bowl and both were just average. The chicken Tikka Sliders were really good though.
The cocktails are the usual mimosas and sangria's with option of wine, beers and coffee.
