The Hostel Blauwput

I stayed the night during a cycling holiday and was impressed by the modern, clean and warm facilities. My bike had its own secure storage and the breakfast buffet was plentiful. There was a school party staying when I was there so I avoided the times they had breakfast and was able to be on the cycle path again before 9am. Very conveniently located near Leuven railway station.

My first experience of staying at a hostel, much better than what I expected. Very clean, staff very friendly, quite picturesque courtyard and a lounge area practical for some work and calls during the day. Overall, very positive experience and I'd recommend it definitely.

I had to book the room in the hostel for a business trip because there were no hotel rooms available in Leuven. I got a 4 bed room for myself with a lot of space which I could not use. Having paid the same as for a hotel room (or even more), I did not get hotel quality: Towels had to be rent additionally, the room illumination was insufficient, beds had to be made by the guest, the shower was rather simple, the beds were quite short and not so comfortable and the breakfast was quite spartan.||But the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Clean and comfortable rooms in this hostel located very close to the Leuven train station. Great for travellers. Basic but good breakfast.

Really nice place. Rooms could use a bit more cleaning but for the price, location and service it's a great price.

Perfectly located hostel. 2 minutes walk from the train station (walk towards platform 9 - back exit) you'll see a Delhaize supermarket on your left (open til 1930) and the hostel is another 50m up a tiny hill. The flixbus terminal is about 300m away. I stayed a few days in their 3 and 4 bed dorms (spacious and comfortable). As well as in their double room - which is excellent value for 2 people! Very nice bar and play room as well as a more peaceful lounge. Perfect for meeting people. On the weekend, the breakfast includes eggs and is served until 10am. Otherwise, until 0930.

Even with id and visa, very unwelcoming if you dont flap your cash ... also if you leave a deposit. Arrogant guy who even explains annulering wrong which would cost for no bed...

Friendly staff, good location, breakfast included.||Covers all basics for budget friendly travellers.||As a bonus, you get to enjoy the fantastic open terrase.||Enjoyable stay, and great value for money !
