I would not recommend staying here, unless you're ok with having bugs crawl all over your stuff and being called a liar when management is confronted about it. First of all, there are bugs. EVERYWHERE. When the front desk was confronted about this by us, their answer was to say, "Well this is a tropical area." And they gave us a can of bug spray so that we could spray ourselves. We sprayed and then asked someone to be sent up to spray properly. Apparently this request was either completely ignored or just done by the front desk person because they didn't bother to put any notes or tell management that we were having this issue. Finally on our 2nd to last day in Australia, I woke up and found a HUGE bug crawling on my phone, so we were fed up, we checked out of there and checked into the Double Tree right across the street. Oddly enough, they didn't have a bug problem. Since we ended up checking out a day early, we requested to have that night refunded, we had to go through Expedia to do this and that poor person had to deal with the management from the hotel. He was rude, dismissive and accused us of lying. He said there were no notes of us having any issues so if we chose to check out early that was our problem and he assumed we didn't need that money. It was only about $75, so that wasn't a huge deal, what was an issue for me is the huge lack of customer service in this place and their complete dismissal of any problems on their part. I regret giving them any of our money, especially after having bugs crawl all over the room and being called a liar about it. Unless you don't mind potentially having to deal with all of this I would say just stay at the DoubleTree right across the street.
