We read the reviews on TripAdvisor and they were all frightening. As the situation in the country is a bit strange with the prices even in dollars, we showed up at the hotel and made a reservation a week before our stay. They charged $30 for the room and breakfast was included!!! That was our first surprise.|The room was okay, they look much nicer in photos, but they weren't as terrible as described on previous reviews. There were no problems except for the towels, which I think were really cheap and old.|Staff was not as described on reviews either, they were all really nice and friendly. Especially at the bar/restaurant during lunch time and dinner. Food was really amazing! The chef did an amazing job with carpaccio and pasta. Prices were fine, too. Servers for breakfast were not friendly at all though.|Space is really nice, we loved the bar area with that lovely view to the park.|Perhaps our expectations were really low after reading the terrible reviews but my partner and I really liked this place as everything went the opposite as we both expected. |They have probably changed management, I don't know, but I can certainly say it was really good value as we have had not so great experiences in hotels in Venezuela.|Would I go back?|If they keep the same prices and service, I would.

Our stay was such a lovely surprise. We had a standard room and the receptionist gave us an upgrade because of my birthday, isn that nice? it had a lovely sunroom which gave the spaciousness of an apartment. The restaurant is like a garden, and the staff was charming and helpful all the time. Every day we were surprised with something in the room to accommodate our needs. Very well located in a important area of Caracas. 250 meter walk to the mall. Definitely we would stay here again next time is perfect and nice.

Ten years ago I stayed in this facility and it was excellent. Ten years have gone by and although the infrastruture is well kept, the service has gone the wrong way. Starting on reception, no sense of understanding when a long haul traveller is in real need to occupy a room. Breakfast was terrible and cannot be charged to the room, no credit arrangements. The room was not as clean as one would expect from a " hotel boutique" Not happy this time

Best priced hotel in the area and a super great stay! Modern, clean comfortable rooms. Will be staying here from now on when I visit Caracas.

Caracas is a crazy expensive city for hotels. Relatively the Hotel Caracas is a good value. It has a very nice asthetic, contemporary style. The bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms were nice and modern. The neighborhood was very safe. This hotel is a block away from the swanky and crazy expensive JW Marriott. I was able to walk around after dark, no problem. Also, the staff was very nice. ||||Only two knocks:||||1) The TV's are small and seem to be like computer monitors rather than TV's. They are sort of hidden in a cabinet so they are only visible from the bed area. ||2) The shower is completely made of glass and anyone else in the room would get quite a show while you take a shower. I was traveling alone so no problem but it would have been a not so great experience otherwise. ||||ONE MORE IMPORTANT TIP: For anyone traveling to Venezuela: Bring a fat stack of $USD because if you don't you must live with the "official" exchange rate of 6-1. The "black market" exchange rate is 35-1 and all of the prices are set up for the "black market" exchange rate. In other words, everything you buy is priced as if the exchange rate is at 35-1 but if you only have your credit card to pay with or your ATM card to take Bolivares out of your bank, you are screwed. Everything costs 5 times what it should cost. Brutal. Fortunately I was there less than 24 hours but next time I will know.

The hotel facilities were as described....however not the service. We were very dissapointed with the condition of our room. When we notified the manager, we were informed that someone would be up to clean things up. Truthfully, we would have preferred just a new room. However, we decided it was okay to wait for the additional cleaning. Unfortunately, the additional cleaning never came! When we checked out the next day and voiced our concerns, we felt we were blown off. This hotel has a lot of potential, but it just didn´t measure up.

Very nice and confortable hotel. Good and polite attention and excellent location if you are going to stay around Chuao, the Rosal and Chacao area. Not suitable for families. Recommended for couples or for people on business trips and looking for confort.
