"The Hotel Denver continually receives rave reviews from guests. One testimonial even states, “I wish we could give this place six stars for its warm atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and great brew pub and food!” The hotel dates back to 1915, but you wouldn’t know it from the modern decor and over-the-top amenities that include an on-site brewpub, boutique, and coffeeshop — all set within downtown Glenwood Springs." - Travel + Leisure Editors

I can no longer recommend this hotel. We have stayed here for 11 years for our annual trip with our grandchildren. We stayed in the same double queen bunk bed room for 10 years, but was assigned to the handicapped accessible room this year which we did not ask for. The accessible room is lacking in amenities such as sufficient lighting, outlets and counter space. This doesn’t seem appropriate for an accessible room. The level of customer service has decreased markedly over the past several years. The pool for the children is a big plus.

Worst beds. Ever. The mattresses are encased in plastic so every move wakes the whole room. Our reservation was for 7 people, the room sleeps 7, but linens were only stocked for 4. Had to get extra towels and toiletries. The "indoor water park" is basically a warm dark room with a pool with a small slide and a larger tube slide and a basketball hoop. The breakfast had a decent variety for continental breakfast. If you're going to the adventure park it is a very nice location.

We recently stayed at Hotel Glenwood Springs and had a fantastic experience that our family will cherish. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. One of the highlights of our stay was the indoor pool, which was a hit with everyone in the family! The two slides—one designed for toddlers and the other for older kids and adults—provided endless fun and entertainment. It was great to see our little ones splashing around while the older kids enjoyed racing down the bigger slide. The continental breakfast was another delightful aspect of our stay. There was a good variety of options, and we loved starting our day with a hearty meal. Fresh pastries, fruit, and hot items ensured there was something for everyone. The hotel's location is also worth mentioning. Being close to an amusement park and hot springs made it incredibly convenient for us to plan our activities. We were able to easily explore the local attractions while having a comfortable place to return to each day. Overall, our experience at Hotel Glenwood Springs was wonderful. The combination of a clean environment, fun amenities, and a great location made it the perfect choice for our family getaway. We can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!

Google
The hotel is aged in the room, show its age, but the location is really good right next to the gondola to the adventure park. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool is really fun for kids. It’s very warm and it has a really cool slide. If you’re coming with Family, I highly recommend this place.

Just checked in- first girl at desk was nice. Went back after we found lots of hair on our bed sheet and it was inside out. Didn’t appear clean. She was rude and said she was the only one at the desk so couldn’t help but could give me a sheet. I asked for a different room and she said no- I said the hotel is not sold out (literally like 5 cars in lot and rooms available online). She said she’d have to call her manager and then ignored me and moved on to lady behind me. I went to my car and when I returned she said she’d come change the sheet.. she didn’t come and after an hour plus decided to take the dirty sheets to her to make our own beds. This is not worth $200+. 😡There was also bugs on the bed. Gross. Agree- family of four and only 3 towels…kids enjoy the pool and slide.

Google
Location is fantastic, especially if you are going to the Glenwood Canyon Adventure Park. It is literally next door to the gondolas. They accept animals and have it rated specifically for the pet friendly rooms so you know in advance. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I have stayed here 6 or so times with and without our kids. I was hoping that things would be revamped a bit since the last time we stayed, which was roughly 2 years ago, but they are the exact same. In fact, I dont think there have been any updates since we started coming 11ish years ago. For a family of 4 there aren't enough towels or toiletries, the rooms are outdated with small bathrooms and the door in our bathroom was warping and deteriorated. We had one tiny trash can for the entire room and we could hear the neighboring room quite clearly. We had a few box elder bugs in our room too. My kids love the pool and having the gondola right there is nice but that's really the only saving grace.

Google
This hotel is family oriented and well located but the service is horrible. I have a Rottweiler and Boxer. When checking in I asked if there was a place to take the dogs and was told no. This is a lie. After being there for a day I finally found the full dog “park” located on the side and back of the hotel. The Spanish speaking ladies at the front desk do not greet you or even respond when you greet them. In addition, when they are asked a question there is always a conversation in Spanish before you are given a response.

Yelp
We stayed here for the second year in a row and honestly, we will not be back. It's not that the place is bad, but for $500 for 2 nights, I expect more. The elevator is painfully slow. The pool is poorly lit at night and the pool bathroom smells like mold. And breakfast is nothing but pastries. The rooms are clean and the staff are friendly, but it's I expect more for paying for that kind of money to stay. The pool area is amazing. I don't even know why the stairs were closed because they're open today. It is convenient for the ride to the top but I'd rather just pay for parking than pay that kind of money for a hotel that doesn't wow me.

Lynne F.

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel one night. Gorgeous views, great location, and I loved the private jacuzzi in our room. The staff at the front desk seemed like mostly very young women who were bored and tired of dealing with guests. We asked one if she could recommend any restaurants in the area and after a few seconds of blank stare and silence, she handed us a list with a few places that were highlighted. After dinner we came back as there was a huge lightning storm and found the pool area filled with adults and so many children. Most had their clothes on in the water and I think many of them were not guests at the hotel. It was everyone who got rained out of the hot springs pools. Anyone can walk in there and use the pool. The saddest thing was breakfast. When we checked in they said "there's breakfast until 10!" We went down there to find a couple cereals, one apple and a bunch of green inedible bananas. There were also stale bagels and "cream cheese spread" that tasted like wax. There were some of those pre-purchased ultra cheap muffins in the plastic- the kind you would find at a gas station. You can't claim to have breakfast. This is not breakfast. The worst thing of all is that we paid almost $500 for a one-night stay for two people. Next time we will either try to be at the Hotel Colorado or Hampden Inn. Should have done my research but we wanted a spontaneous trip and this place looked good on paper!

Tim S.

Yelp
This hotel is just way too expensive for what you receive in return. Lobby is somewhat nice but has an empty grab and go eatery to the left. Workers at front desk were pleasant. But for nearly $300 a night, the room was very old, beds were worn out, and furniture was chipped and scratched. Having the connected water park was nice, but this place does not warrant the steep price tag. Look elsewhere in Glenwood Springs.

Travis B.

Yelp
Don't go into the pool area 10 minutes early!! The front desk girl will RUN at you through the area and yell at you like you are a little kid. Also the breakfast here is a joke. Stale bagels and pastries not to mention the moldy bananas. WTF???

Irene C.

Yelp
Very pet friendly Call ahead to reserve pet friendly rooms, as they have designated rooms on the first floor. They are hardwood. They do allow pets to be left alone in the hotel, but they have to be well behaved. Rooms are basic but clean. Prices are decent compared to other hotels that charge a Pet fee for each dog/night. They clean your room everyday, unlike a lot of hotels now which is nice. Breakfast is meh, but what you would expect for hotel breakfast usually. This place has all the amenities we need when traveling with our two pups. We would definitely be back if we were traveling with our pups again to Glenwood!

Trey G.

Yelp
This place is old and tired and super rundown. You are paying an outrageous price for the location and there are plenty of other nice facilities near here. The manager is very nice. Kids loved the game room and the indoor pool. There was a weird tree beetle in the room. Would definitely never stay here again.

Kris L.

Yelp
I really wanted to write this review to give you my honest opinion(as I do in all my reviews). The hotel was very easy to book, I tried to book online but there was nothing available for the dates I was looking at, so I contacted the hotel and to my surprise I was able to book the pet friendly room with bunk beds and 2 queens for a better price then online was showing me(so always call the hotel before booking). Upon arrival they had a large parking lot and the gondola adventure park right there basically in the parking lot. The outside was very beautiful! Upon entering the hotel it was very dated, which I heard in a bunch of reviews. The staff was very helpful and friendly so no issues there. We entered our room and it was ok. My problem was the room felt a little dirty but I'm a germaphobe so maybe it's me who knows. However, the part that grossed me out was opening the bed to find random hairs and tons of grime behind the tv. I also felt like the handicapped room was stupid because the shower was for handicapped people and when using the shower the water basically flooded the bathroom floor which was gross and annoying. I slept the first night with the worst night sleep feeling things crawling on me(I think it was all in my head lol). The next day I was going to look into a different hotel however after talking to the front desk then had management come In and clean and change out bedding which made me feel better. I noticed though that the box spring had a white sheet on it that had what looked like a poop or blood stain that never got changed out as if they leave that and do not change it. The mattresses were also very springy and well used which they really should replace. I honestly just kept questioning if the hotel was dirty or looked really dirty since it's very well loved and needs a overhaul. They have mad potential with this place and could charge a lot more and get more business if they remodel and change out everything including there pictures on the wall which do not even go with the room. This hotel really deserves 2 stars but I'm being nice since I feel this is the best you might get here and it's location(tons of things to do around and restaurants) and the fact they don't charge for parking is a plus. They also have free breakfast included but don't get too excited, it's just a few cereal options, bagels and cream cheese, oatmeal, yogurts, and sausage and egg biscuits which are not good. They also have coffee and hot chocolate available with options as orange juice and apple juice. The water park inside the hotel was pretty cool for my kids and they really enjoyed it! Also, the fact they offered the first floor for families with dogs was really nice as well. The room was pretty chewed up from previous dogs(the bathroom door looked like someone locked there dog in the bathroom and the dog went crazy). They really should fix that and probably should have charged whoever's dog did that damage! If we left our dogs in the hotel while gone they were in there crates so nothing could get destroyed even though my dogs would not do that;). I want to go back here again but praying they revamp this place. It literally could be a 4-5 star hotel if they put some money and elbow grease into it.

John R.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel. Clean. Everyone is really friendly! There is an indoor pool with an awesome slide! My kids had a blast here! It comes with breakfast but it is kind of sad not really a hot breakfast options more of a grab n go. The hotel is right next to the gondola taking you to the adventure caverns at Glenwood springs so much fun!

Bonnie W.

Yelp
Even though the hotel accommodations are a little dated compared to the newer hotels in the area, it was still a nice place to stay. Our room was very spacious! The clerk was very helpful with recommendations. Location is good. If you're staying here check out Iron Mountain Hot Springs!

Jeffrey P.

Yelp
Great local spot to rest after a long day of travel. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, nice and quiet at night. Most importantly, pet friendly! Not far from restaurants either. Would definitely recommend!

Vicki R.

Yelp
We are moving across country and decided to spend a little extra on this hotel because it had a water slide for my kids. When we arrived after an 8 hour drive, we were told the slide isn't open. I do understand that they can't control the slide breaking. But the room was not cleaned well, the floor has a very noticeable arch so the two queen beds sit at an angle. So far we are a little disappointed with the quality and price.

Whitney L.

Yelp
We have always enjoyed staying here with our pup. Its close to everything and a great price. They also do a returning guest discount.

AJ D.

Yelp
Stayed for one night, but it was amazing! The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. Me and the boys even played Smash Bros using one of our Switches with the TV. Only things I didn't like were the floor around the pool and the size/depth of it. Sharp pebbles weren't a great idea for the floor around a pool where people will be barefoot, and the pool could have been bigger and had a deeper portion. Apart from those minor nitpicks though, the experience was amazing and would absolutely go again. When I inevitably get married, my honeymoon will be at the nearby amusement park and we will sleep here. Personal note: I loved the chocolate chip muffins they set out in the lobby for breakfast.

Lisa T.

Yelp
This hotel was so great. The booking was easy. They charge you when you arrive, along with a $50 damage fee just in case, that they hold on your account and will eventually go away in your bank account, just as long as there are no damages. It does goes away after a few days, depending on your bank. The hotel has an indoor waterpark, which is just a water slide, which is super fast, a mini kid-friendly water slide, along with a basketball hoop. The water is no taller than 4 feet if I recall, and they also have a hot tub next to the pool. Bring your own towel to the pool. My hotel room was amazing. It had a hot tub which came in handy, the king size bed was so comfy. The tv was able to extend so you could watch it from the hot tub angle. I had a great view of the car in the parking lot, so that I had view of our car rental, which there are a lot of spaces. The staff were attentive and great. They called me the day before to confirm my reservation and even allowed me to check in an hour early because I asked and the room was ready. It was a clean space and felt like home. The room came with a microwave and fridge, along with lots of white clean towels. Just ask the staff for a list of close food options nearby as they have a copy to provide. I would definitely stay here again, as two hot springs are really close, and Target is very close as well.

Katie M.

Yelp
The staff was extremely nice and helpful! The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because of small annoyances. The AC unit was making strange noises all night making it difficult to sleep. Along with thin walls. Otherwise, very comfortable stay and kind staff. Clean rooms.

Huan Chad D.

Yelp
The staff here are great! They welcomed us when we arrived with a smile and very helpful! The room is a little bit dated but super clean. My wife left her jacket in the room when we checked out. We called the front desk and she didn't everything to find it! She was able to find it and mailed it to us! Excellent service, excellent location, cleaned rooms! Can't asked for more!

Catherine M.

Yelp
This hotel is convenient to the gondolas going up to the adventure park, which is why we chose it. However we weren't very impressed, for the price. The room was okay but it looked a bit run down. And we saw 4 bugs throughout the evening in the room, not sure what kind. The beds were comfortable. The cafe is closed because of Covid. But there were no other options for refreshments, except for vending machines. (We had just spent 2 night at a different hotel which had free breakfast and nicer rooms with a lower rate.) The pool looked fun but you do have to make a reservation for a pool time. We missed ours since we were out to dinner and (although we could see that the pool wasn't full) we couldn't get another time. So make sure you don't miss your reserved time if you want to swim. The gondola ride up to the park is pretty. The park itself was open but we didn't feel totally comfortable there. A lot of people were not practicing social distancing in the lines for rides. So we didn't stay. Overall, for the price of just one night, I would probably choose a hotel with more amenities and updated rooms.

Pres V.

Yelp
Great place for families, clean rooms, comfortable beds, fun pool and slide. My only complaint is the room keys work once or twice then I had to get a new one. I went through at least 8 keys in a 2 night stay.

Marc M.

Yelp
Adjacent to the gondolas up to the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, this modern hotel features an indoor pool and water slide for the kids, a great complimentary breakfast, and the most friendly front desk staff we've ever met. The double queen rooms were great, but when we upgraded to the king spa suite across the hall it got even better - bunk beds for the kids, doors to give us parents some privacy, and separate televisions for the kids and parents. The front desk staff had great suggestions for family friendly activities in the area and restaurants. Any complaints? Just the road noise from the adjacent freeway on the side with the suites. It didn't really bother us, but I could see how that could be a problem for some.

Tiffany R.

Yelp
We stayed in a pet suite and to my surprise I didn't smell any evidence of pets in the room which was nice. The room was decent size and the beds were comfortable. My only complaint as much as I appreciate the pool; it desperately needs to be drained and cleaned. The water felt slimy would be the best way to describe it, made my whole family itch because there is too much chlorine and is kinda murky and a chlorine treatment will not solve the problem. But the slides were fun for my son and the water was shallow enough for him to enjoy the water

Tami F.

Yelp
The hotel doesn't look anything like these photos any longer. We stayed here before Covid and while it was dated, it was still convenient and the pool was nice. The pool is no longer clean, the rooms and breakfast area desperately need an upgrade. For the cost of this hotel, I'm surprised it's still up and running. They've got storage hanging out in their lobby area.l with boxes just stacked in the kitchen open area. For breakfast they didn't even take their prepackaged pastry items out of the boxes, they just opened the boxes and set them on the counter. The rooms are spacious, esp since we have a family of 6. However, the cleanliness of especially the commons area and general lack of care overall make this place no longer worth it.

Chanel G.

Yelp
Great location to stay at. My kids really enjoyed the pool. The only reason I am giving a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 is because of the lady working in the front name Leslie was extremely rude. We asked her for forks and she said they didn't have any and then we asked another worker and they gave us some. We called her and told her our TV was not working and when she came up to our room she asked us to move the dresser ourselves and had a really nasty attitude. The gentlemen by the name of Adam was great. He was very attentive, friendly and helpful. He made our experience there great and helped and was very accommodating. I will come back to this hotel. Hopefully no one has to deal with her but the rest of the staff there seems very friendly and welcoming.

Brad H.

Yelp
I have taken my family to the Hotel Glenwood Springs on numerous occasions. We have NEVER been disappointed. The staff is incredibly friendly, the location is fantastic, and the rooms are always to our liking. Oh, and let's not forget the indoor pool! If you have kids, this pool will likely be the highlight of their time in Glenwood. Now that I have another little one to raise I am certain the Hotel Glenwood Springs will provide even more great memories to come.

Amanda H.

Yelp
This review was not for the staff. The staff gets 5 stars!! They were helpful and kind. The pool was great, but super crowded, even on a Thursday night. The no alcohol policy is in place, but expect drunk parents. My kids still managed to have a great time for several hours in the water. The location is great, especially if you plan to go up to the adventure park. The rooms are dated as most people have noted. They were clean though and offered plenty of space. I would have liked to of seen a couch instead of a recliner. It doesn't offer a place for the family to "sit" - which is unusual for a suit. The breakfast needs some hot meal options. For a hotel of this size and expense - some hot food could go a long way. Price was on the higher side for what you get. With a lot of options in town - this place is catered to the family travelers - which is wonderful. One more plus - they allow dogs. If you are traveling with your four-legged friend this place seems like it would be very accommodating. Overall - we'd be back. With kids and pets in our life there isn't a better place in town.

Amberley D.

Yelp
We love coming to Glenwood Springs and after a super rough travel day and finding the hotel we booked to not be pet friendly, I called in a panic. The front desk staff were so incredibly accommodating, especially because I was kind of freaking out! We got there while I was still on the phone with Expedia trying to get a refund from the first place we booked; the girls were so nice and helpful. Literally every woman at the front desk for the four days we stayed were so polite and welcoming. The room was great! Super quiet, faux wood floors which is great because my dogs didn't spend the whole time freaking out about other dogs smell in carpet. Nice area to walk pups and while this place is super kid oriented, it was very quiet and clean. We will definitely stay here whenever we are in Glenwood Springs

Rene C.

Yelp
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! Best customer service I have had at a hotel in a very long time! the entire hotel was clean and well stocked. The pool was a ton of fun for my kiddos and the game room was fun for us adults. They do have a take and go breakfast with yogurt, milk, coffee and pastries which we found perfectly fine for our needs. I highly recommend this hotel for families especially those with small children!

Richard A.

Yelp
Glenwood Springs is great, but this hotel is ok at best. The fridge in our room doesn't work, there's no room safe, and the wifi is poor (1 bar on the first floor). We stayed for their pet policy.

Jan N.

Yelp
My husband are staying in this hotel right now and we like our room, but when we returned this evening BOTH of our keys didn't work which is highly annoying. So we trudged back downstairs and after waiting in line at check-in we were told our phones or other cards must've caused demagnetization of room keys. All day mine was in the folder they gave me and my husbands was in his front pocket (no other cards or his phone). Blaming a poor key system on already inconvenienced guests isn't a good policy. The coffee/pizza counter is only open 2 days a week. Why even bother?

icacosgrrl C.

Yelp
Loved! Great pool waterworks for kids of all ages! Much better for kids than the expensive hotel at the actual springs. Great breakfast, and gondola outside the door!

Shani B.

Yelp
An impromptu July 4th road trip to Glenwood Springs.... The hotel is next to the Gondolas for Glenwood Caverns Park-super convenient and you can get a nifty 10% off coupon for aspen tickets when you stay at the hotel. We had a two queen bed room on the ground floor. The room was super spacious with more than enough floor space for unpacking, stretching, and for the pack and play. Laminate floors-extra points for this! None of that questionable weird carpet. The indoor pool space is small and good for little kids. Thankfully, the chlorine wasn't so potent that your eyes and nose burn just from being in there. The front desk has pool towels and will give you a swim diaper if needed. Sweet! Pizza Cave is not bad and is open from 5-10pm and they also have some snack items you can take to the room. This hotel is pet friendly. There is also a water bottle filling station in the lobby..right on! Convenience, comfort, and water bottle filling! Oh, and there's a continental breakfast.

Marsha M.

Yelp
We came from California with our Dog (Labrador retriever) we loved it. They treated us so well. 5 star employees for sure . Room was clean and had good floors for dogs. Waffle breakfast and great kids pool . Loved it

Leigh D.

Yelp
Great place to stay with kids. Water slide is a big hit. They enjoyed it more than the hot springs so we'll save the $ next time and just stay at this hotel

Teryl A.

Yelp
This may be a fine hotel in the summer but definitely NOT IN THE FALL. Elevator broke so had to be on the first level. A/C so noisy that we had to change rooms. Which was worse because street noise was so bad that you almost couldn't hear yourself talk. Finally left at 10 and went to a new hotel

Justin C.

Yelp
We stayed at Hotel Glenwood Springs for two nights, and was impressed from start to finish with our stay. When you have three kids with you, you need to make sure your accommodations will take care of them as well, and Hotel Glenwood Springs did that from start to finish. My kids went in the pool and used the water slide three to four times each day and it was a great way for us to spend time as a family. The family room with Nintendo Wii and foosball was another added bonus that made our stay very enjoyable. Clean rooms...decent breakfast...great location. We're already planning our stay for the summer!

julie n.

Yelp
Indoor "water park" is actually a pool with 2 slides and a basketball hoop with max depth of 3'6. Game room was a nice break for our toddler. Pizza place was not open during our weekday stay. Breakfast was cereal, yogurt, bagels, hard boiled eggs, and fresh waffles. Rooms are ok, a bit dated. Staff was friendly.

Frank L.

Yelp
Location is why the price is so high. It is within walking to both Iron Mountain HS and Glenwood HS and the Gondola Adventure. The big plus was the breakfast lounge is open all day. The indoor kiddie pool is great for small children. The staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. 5 stars for the staff. Here is the negative, accommodations are at Motel 6 quality, carpet is well worn and is between a dark green and brown with lots of stains. The beds are very puffy but not very lsupportive so I had back pains in the morning. The bed corners were torn and its plastic corners were torn away from the mattress. The furniture was mid-matched from at least 2 different hotel collections. The chair was ripped and did not recline. The night table was so low and mis-matched that it was like a foot stool. The water pressure was very low so your showers will be a long one.

Alice K.

Yelp
We just got home from our stay at the hotel. I was very pleasantly surprised on their true care for their guest/furry friends :) They treated my puppy so well. The manager at the front desk was very kind and greated us with such warmth. I completely suggest you stay here. It is clean, quiet and your pets are welcomed without any issues. They are ok with you leaving them in the room if you have to - which was GREAT for us. Oh and the indoor water park is really fun :)

Aimie J.

Yelp
I would have given this hotel 5 stars for the customer service and cleanliness. I took a star away for the noise. The rooms back right up to I-70. You can hear the semi trucks coming down the canyon all night. And, they play music in the lobby ALL night. The first night, I thought the people next to us were having a party. Last night, I realized it was coming from the lobby. Not sure why they play it all night. Otherwise, it's a great hotel!

Monica B.

Yelp
So glad we stayed here! Just spent 3 nights exploring Glenwood Springs. The staff was great, very nice and accommodating from the moment we checked in. Dale was exceptional! Pros: indoor pool and water slides for the kids right next door to the adventure park pet friendly discounts for adventure park and hot springs free breakfast great park and river across the bridge from hotel The only thing I would note is that the bedding could be upgraded a bit....also our suite was facing the freeway so got a bit noisy in the mornings. Definitely will come back and stay here again and would recommend to friends and family

Lisa C.

Yelp
This is been our go to place it is always clean and the customer service is amazing Savannah at the front desk is so welcoming and helpful with any question you have! They had our dogs name on a welcome board when we walked in and a convenient outside door to take them to!!!

Tory K.

Yelp
Very well located and easy to drive too. Nice to be located away from the noise of traffic and the bars. The ladies at the front counter where helpful and professional. Found my family a room at the last minute and texted us when it was ready. The room was clean and beds where comfortable. My kids enjoyed the pool and slide as the wife and I could relax in the hot tub.

Angela M.

Yelp
Kids Had a great time here. Friendly staff. Good breakfast (basic, but plentiful) & they enjoyed the waterslide. Very convenient location for visiting the park the next day.

Lonnie D.

Yelp
We just stayed a weekend in a king suite for the weekend. We have stayed at this hotel at least four times now. The room is a good size with comfortable king bed, bunk beds, and even the roll away bed. We woke up late for breakfast and called down to the front desk to see if there was anything left. They made us fresh coffee and brought the food back out for our family of 6. Everyone was so friendly and the service was above my expectations.

Katrina J.

Yelp
This is 5 stars for the people and service. The hotel right off the bat said cancellations weren't a problem if needed which was a sigh of relief with us driving 10 hours with kids going to school in between and possibility of our second reservation not going through and possible fires. The place had everything we needed and thought it wasn't exactly a 5 star resort I appreciated the amenities that were available. What made this place over the top was the incredible down to earth and friendly staff that made it feel like a home away from home. From the first call to ask about amenities and ample wifi, to our late evening arrival, checkout and assistance the next korning with multiple staff members, they were all kind and amazingly considerate. They went out of their way to do the best they could for us and that was a 5 star experience. Thank you to Claire and Mia and the housekeeping staff as well as the front desk person who checked us in seriously so grateful. Thank you!!

Yelp
This is an incredibly family friendly hotel. Breakfast is easy with options for everyone. The rooms are nice and clean, and we were able to get two pack and plays for the babies, which were already assembled with sheets at check in. We were able to take our dog in and out of the hotel freely. The pool is incredible for a family with kids. There is a giant slide that is great for the older kids, and a small one for the toddlers. The pool reaches a maximum depth of 3'6" so parents can can let their kiddos play without as much worry. The hotel is conveniently located near a wonderful park on the river. It is a great spot to take the pups for a walk and the kids can play on the awesome playscape. The best part is that the gondola for the Glenwood adventure caverns is right in the same parking lot. You can hang out arty the caverns until 9pm and then just walk off the gondola into your room for the night. Older kiddos can go swim until 11pm! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We forgot milk and they went to the breakfast kitchen and brought it to out room :) I would stay bette again and recommend it to all of my friends with families!

Yelp
We have just finished up a wonderful 6 night stay at the hotel glenwood springs. Being from Florida we have stayed at a number of Disney's resorts on small weekend getaways. We feel that the service and attention to detail that we received at the hotel Glenwood springs far surpasses anything we have experienced before. The staff are all incredibly knowledgeable of the area, accommodating to the kids and beyond helpful. Lastly we accidentally left something valuable behind in our room in the morning scramble to get 2 kids under 5 out of bed and out the door. The hotel staff immediately called us and offered to ship it asap. We will be back and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to relax and enjoy their family vacation.

Yelp
My kids used to love this hotel. Then I came here and as we walked in, the front desk told us the pool was closed. It continued to be closed our entire stay. It was bad because we always come off-season and it was snowing. We left early because the kids cannot handle the hot springs when its snowing. We were offered no compensation. The beds/mattresses are garbage but they are very kid and pet friendly. If the pool is broken you will regret staying here. I
