Rooms seems more old than rustic. Originally given a room that was clearly not cleaned, upon sharing with the front desk, another room was provided, which was not properly cleaned(room bin and bathroom bin was not emptied) Service gets a 4 because they were friendly and attempted to remedy the issue, critique falls on the cleaning staff. Complimentary breakfast was excellent and wait staff were very professional.

Stayed here for Carnival 2024. Pool area was nice Food was good - we had complimentary breakfast included with our room. Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. Now to the room... Very disappointed the our room. No minifridge, A/C soaked my clothes, no to lukewarm hot water. Our room was nothing like what you see in pictures online. It was just 4 beds and a chest of drawers. We had to ask for chairs for the balcony. No TV, no mirror, no fridge like I said. No closet. We had to ask for a cooler box with ice. Owner tried to relay through staff that this is what you get for carnival week. Also "Normandie under the trees" that venue was right outside our room. There were several events held there and the gave us comps for two people. We were a room of four. Absolutely disappointing.

Rooms: The rooms we were given were ridiculous. We had semi fogged windows in the shower 2 feet from the ground and up. It was so bad that we needed to shove towels to cover the window because we all were uncomfortable. Lighting was bad, we had windows in the doors as well letting in all of the hallway light therefore resulting in bad sleeping. We had to put the ironing board in front of the door. The beds were uncomfortable and crappy (we could feel the springs through the sheets). Worst problem was that we did not have water for half of the time we were staying at the Normandie. It was either Dark Brown or no water at all. We could not take showers a couple of the nights because of it and it caused a big problem with stinky toilets and having to change a baby's diaper without water. Service: Front desk: The guy at the front desk was giving my father issues when he was trying to get at least one room with water (rummers were going around that there was waters in most of the ground floor rooms, we were on the third floor). Eventually we got one room on the ground floor which barely had a trickle (not enough to shower in though). Breakfast attendant: This place was so under staffed that they only had one lady serving 10-15 people breakfast (Cleaning, seating, cooking, serving, etc.). Food was not the best (first day: Plain omelet with no cheese, toast, and 1 tiny packet of jam. Second day: 1 scrambled egg, toast, and 1 tiny packet of jam and butter. All said and done, none of my family, friends, or relatives will ever be coming to this hotel again. We can get something cheaper and much better somewhere else. NOTE: When they say that breakfast is Complementary, they are lying. They Charged my grandmother $600 US Dollars extra for breakfast to barely feed 10 people with the above scarce meals.

This is my review 1. **Pool Condition**: The pool was in an unacceptable state. I noticed several areas where algae were visibly growing, and after entering the pool, I was extremely displeased by its condition. This is a serious hygiene concern that should not be overlooked. 2. **Room Curtains**: The curtains in my room had large amounts of visible mildew, which poses a significant health risk to guests. This is a major safety concern that requires immediate attention. 3. **Chairs**: The chairs in the room were rusted and not well-maintained. This not only creates an eyesore but also poses a risk of damage to clothing. It is disheartening to see such neglect in maintaining basic furniture. Additionally, the breakfast provided did not meet the expectations that were set by your representative over the phone. As a result, we chose not to have breakfast at the hotel again during our stay. This was very disappointing and added to the overall dissatisfaction with our experience. These conditions are entirely unacceptable for paying customers.

The hotel itself is nice and fairly modern, the rooms are spacious and clean. Whoever decided to put the bathroom window next to the toilet right above the toilet seat level clearly shouldn't be allowed to design things. Location is around 30 minutes walk from city centre, neighbourhood is really safe. Breakfast is ok, nothing to write home about but filling and tasty enough. The reception staff is competent but not particularly helpful for tourists, get your information somewhere else. My biggest gripe is with the party. We were informed ahead of the party on Saturday night, it was a bit loud but fair play to the hotel for being upfront with it. But then around 4:30 in the morning another party started, apparently something called a breakfast party. That one wasn't mentioned at all and it was really loud, particularly because some idiots were honking their cars for minutes at a time. All in all, a good place to stay as long as you make sure no surprise parties are taking place that weekend

My partner, myself and two of her friends stayed here for 5 nights during Carnival. ||||The price was jacked up for the event, which is expected. At $600 usd a night, we knew it was increased to capitalize on the event, and our expectations were not high. However, they were completely and utterly unmet. ||||Most members of the staff were unfriendly, ma unhelpful. ||||The water for the shower never became hot. ||||The bedrooms had no blankets. And it became a challenge trying to get a clean one. Each single bed had one flat pillow. ||||The wifi was shotty and wouldn’t even let us connect to an iPad. ||||The worst part was the lack of room service. Our room was not cleaned once during our stay except for the last night. The only reason it was cleaned was because we asked 4 times, and finally had to get the manager involved in order to get clean sheets on our beds. This was after we cleaned up and took the sheets off ourselves. ||||If you’re picking between this and Kapok, go with Kapok if the price is even close to the same. We had friends stay there and it was much better. Obviously this hasn’t been reviewed much since covid.

We are currently staying here and are on our last night so I wanted to leave a review before we leave and I forget! :)||Firstly the check in process was easy and all staff have been really friendly and helpful. Our phone wasn't working in our room and someone came to fix it straight away. Our rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels.||The included breakfast is nice, choice of cereal, toast and jam, pastries, mini muffins, and eggs or sausages. Plus nice coffee and fresh watermelon! With friendly staff.||The room was clean and nice, the pillows are hard (but I am extremely fussy and always bring my own pillow which I forgot on this occasion:( ) the beds are comfy. As we were here for 4 days and here from tobago doing govt errands we did spend quite a bit of time in the room, I know the hotel has recently upgraded the rooms to digicell TV but the reception/signal is AWFUL, it cuts off every 2 mins and buffers like it's a streaming service but totally not the hotels fault.||We had hot water for morning and evening showers, a fridge, iron and kettle in the room, however no tea, coffee, milk pods in the room which I would really of appreciated as I like a hot drink in the mornings.||The pool area needs a lot of updating, the diamond brite is in poor condition and it makes the pool look unclean and cloudy, I'm sure it is clean but it put me off from going in. I think they need to get this fixed asap, also there aren't any umbrellas for shade by the pool which I would of liked.||Overall the hotel is in a fantastic location in POS for doing activities but still tucked away from the noise| |The only reason u knocked 1 star off was for the pool, lack of umbrellas and the TV signal. If they fixed those things it would of been 5 star for sure and I would book again when I need to return for more government errands.
