Had a great stay. Always stay here when we are in Galway. Bed super comfy and big, rooms look recently renovated. Location is great. Staff are all lovely, efficient. There was a lovely red hair gent on the desk on Sunday evening. Big shout out to the Front desk manager also who helped me with a mixed up booking. Really appreciate it, and will be back!

We stayed here in November of 2024. Long story short we put $1200 Euros (combination wedding gift and other stuff from grandparents) in the in room safe. We locked it and didn’t open it for 3 days. Upon checkout day our code would no longer work for the safe. We called front desk, they came and opened the safe with a generic code. We arrived home and went to deposit the money and we were $500 euros in cash short. I talked to the owner who was initially helpful in assisting my investigation and then went radio silent. I know there isn’t much I can do about missing cash but DO NOT STAY HERE. Or if you do keep any and all valuables with you. It’s a shame I thought my stuff would be safer in a room in a safe. Apparently not the case here.

The House Hotel was excellent and very quaint. It was a great location and had exceptional customer service. I would return again and I highly recommend staying here. The room itself was a regular hotel room but had everything we needed and was clean. The bed was comfortable for someone who has back issues.

We were two couples spending 2 nights in Galway and had booked this hotel. We had a super experience. It’s a really nice boutique hotel in a great location. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were fairly compact but very clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. This hotel is excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend it.

All staff are friendly especially at reception and breakfast. Breakfast was perfect but gets a little awkward when picking food due to the tight breakfast layout. Room was nice but there is mold growing on the older outer windows in the room. The bathroom door doesn't fit the frame appropriately or lock so its a bit embarrassing when your new boyfriend/friend etc can see you using the facilities. Beds were super comfortable!!! but two single beds put together. Very central location. Very good discount for parking which was superb.

Do not book! I have stayed on two occasions both times a disaster, impossible to regulate temperature. Turn off the air-con & room resembles a sauna & leave it on and enjoy the loud rumbling of what sounds like an old engine. As for breakfast - partner went down at 9.45am, no hot food! Ques for one coffee machine that dispensed cold coffee! Other guests really unhappy, total chaos.. & my favourite bit.... room service knocking on the door at 11.15?? ||Forget about customer service, partner had booked & paid for another night in few weeks, explained all of above assuming our next stay could be better & zero sh*ts given by Hotel.... ended up asking for refund & we will stay in another hotel! Once upon a time the House Hotel was amazing, I remember but its a two star lodge!

Great location for Galway but 3* hotel at best. Room was very basic. Bed consisted of two singles joined together but different heights. Breakfast was poor l with limited fresh options. There was a selection of prepacked/made wraps and baps - they were rock hard from sitting under the heat lamps.

Had the sweetest two night stay at the House Hotel in Galway. Perfect location, a quick walk to Shop Street. We enjoyed our breakfast here every morning too. The service at this hotel is what deserves 10 stars! Shout out to FRAN! Once my husband and I were in Dublin, I made the unfortunate realization that I had mistakenly left a very important item in our hotel room safe. Fran went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure our items were delivered to us only a mere 5 hours later, in Dublin. Fran, you are literally a life saver! Management, give her a raise!! Frankly every person we encountered at this hotel was incredibly nice, and made our stay extra special. Thank you House Hotel!
