The House Hotel Karaköy

It was mine and my husband's first time to Turkey, and our stay at the The Bank Hotel was the perfect way to begin our trip. The hotel is well located in the Galata area with the main tourist attractions just across the Galata Bridge. The area is very vibey with its narrow streets and alleys and all sorts of different shops, the perfect place to explore on foot. We were welcomed very warmly at the hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and always happy to assist with any questions that we had about the hotel or things to do in the area. Our room was a bit small but the attention to detail with the personalised card, chocolatesand amenities that were waiting in our room more than made up for it. The space was clean and we had a little balcony outside. The hotel also has a stunning rooftop bar which beautiful views across to the mosques across the Galata bridge. On the whole, The Bank is a beautiful boutique hotel and great value for money. We would highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul.

This hotel is the epitome of classy, intuitive customer care. The interior exudes old world charm with new world conveniences. From the cozy bedroom with a perfectly situated balcony, to the exquisite marble bathroom , the energy here is subtle luxury. The front desk staff is well informed , friendly, & customer focused. They are expertly led by Sahar, Guest Relations Mgr. Her attention to the details of my birthday trip, celebrating me, rivaled every other hotel I’ve visited. She surprised me with a birthday cake, after I mentioned the reason for my visit!! (I’m a retired flight attendant, and I know hotels!😜) The Bank will be my home in Istanbul from now onward!! What a superb find!!

Beautiful hotel and room, lovely staff, delicious breakfast. We were very happy with our stay. |We had a standard king room booked through AMEX Hotel Collection program. They told us we could not get upgraded because the hotel was supposedly full. That was fine. We didn’t care. Imagine our surprise when we walked into a very large spacious room. Our room was on the ground/below ground floor so the “view” was of a partial concrete wall and up to the street above. Again, we didn’t care. We booked the hotel for location and comfort not to look out the windows. I felt the position of the room helped keep it quiet which I desperately needed after being disturbed by other guests in a different hotel in Cappadocia. The room had an enormous walk-in closet, clawfoot tub with separate shower and sitting area opposite the king size bed. |We were incredibly comfortable and happy with it. ||We ate breakfast twice in the lobby lounge. It was convenient and delicious. |We also had dinner in Serica, the rooftop restaurant. That was outstanding. The food, the view, the service were all wonderful. ||The hotel was located a short distance from the Galata Tower (which required an uphill climb so be prepared if you aren’t fit) and just north of the Galata bridge, ferry port, and T1 tram line. We also walked from the metro upon arrival. It’s slightly annoying with luggage over the bumpy streets but doable. It’s mostly downhill to the hotel from the metro. ||This was the third hotel we stayed at in Türkiye and the second in Istanbul. This was our favorite.

The Bank was quite swanky! Very posh, very well decorated, very professional staff. We stayed at The Bank one night. Our room was clean, nice sized, with a very accommodating bathroom. Upon entering the room, it was nice to be greeted with a box of chocolates, a pendant, and other incidentals: nice touch! We enjoyed the rooftop lounge where we drank several bottles of exquisite Turkish wine and nibbled on yummy hors d’oeuvres. The view of the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque at night was impressive. Breakfast the following day was filling. There was an moderate array of breakfast items, but they were fresh and tasty. We enjoyed our stay!

Enjoyed this lovely hotel at the start of our cruise. Great room with great service and all of the amenities you want when traveling. Beautiful rooftop bar and restaurant. Restaurant was very expensive…especially for drinks but was a great way to kickoff the trip. Would stay here again.

Gorgeous design hotel in Beyoglu. Top notch friendly service. Comfortable rooms with artistic design touch. Beautiful view on the rooftop. Super culinary discoveries at Serica. And the spa that gives great massages for the tired travelers… a super choice for the connaisseur for me one of the best in Istanbul!!!

This is a lovely hotel that unfortunately does not have air conditioning that can be controlled in each room. Our room was very hot but it was too loud to open the windows. They gave us a fan to blow the hot air around but sadly that didn’t help much. A hot room ruins a hotel for me.

Horrible stay,I was discriminated by the hotel staff. |I have never felt unwelcomed in a hotel like this one. As a titanium member I trusted bonvoy app and booked for the first time here. I was not welcomed at all. The room looks nice but it’s not comfortable at all , they don’t have black out curtains so it you are a light sleeper you will struggle to sleep once the sun is up. ||Their laundry service is very limited , they declined my laundry so I had to stay for 3 days with a bag full of dirty laundry. ||We wanted to enjoy a drink in there rooftop bar, my husband wanted to order a bottle of wine and I wanted to a herbal tea because they don’t have any mocktails in their menus so it’s either sugary drinks or teas and coffees so I opted for the herbal tea and to my suprise I was declined that. As per the hotel staff they don’t serve hot drinks after 6pm , even though it’s not mentioned anywhere in their menu. ||My husband told them I am pregnant and I am diabetic so I can’t have soft drinks , despite mentioning that they didn’t make a single effort to accommodate my order and they were so rude to us. As a hotel guest and a titanium member I felt horrible and unwelcomed again. No service recovery was offered even after I shared my experience with the hotel staff. They simply ignored me even after several emails and my request to cancel my stay. The only reply I got was that I cannot cancel my stay. So basically I was treated badly and I was still forced to stay there.

I don't know where to begin! The Vault Karakoy is The PERFECT hotel. Staff was professional, helpful and genuinely nice, the hotel itself is gorgeous and walking distance to the Galata tower and Istiklal street which are must places To visit (make sure you drink a coffee at Autentic coffee house). I highly highly recommend it, Look no further and book your hotel, You won't regret it! Listen to their recommendations, they were all spot on. I don't think I've ever been this happy with a hotel!!

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed. It's like a boutique hotel, small and cozy, very professional staff! Rooms are pretty and very comfortable! The best service we got from the concierge, I cant spell their turkish names but they really helped us with our itineraries! Best hotel in turkey! Truly recommend it!!!! You won't be disappointed! :-)

Exceptional service, perfect location, a true gem. The hotel is located within walking distance of just about anywhere we wanted to go in the city. Public transportation is also a five minute walk away. The conversion from a bank to hotel was executed with great attention to detail. The hand painted detail on ceilings in the bedroom, crown moldings and warm decor created a welcoming oasis at the end of a long day. Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel!!
