The House Hotel Karaköy

We were a family of five visiting Istanbul for a week, and The Bank Hotel was the perfect choice. The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk across the bridge to reach most of the major historic sites. The hotel itself is full of charm, and the rooftop bar is the perfect place to unwind after a long day of exploring. Most importantly, the staff was absolutely amazing—warm, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is located near to 2 Karakoy stations (funicular and tram), a 3 and 5 mins walk respectively. The iconic Galata Tower is right in the vicinity. Building was constructed in 1876 and hosted Crédit Général Ottoman, Deutsche Bank, and Sümerbank.||Booked the Penthouse Suite, good view of the Bosporus and Golden Horn straits. This is the highlight of our stay||Breakfast is on the ground floor and love the old typewriters on display; like a museum. Due to inherent design of the old building, area for the breakfast food spread can be a little tight. Hotel can also consider more items for the breakfast spread.||Staff made efforts to make us feel at home, good work team.

I would stay here again without second thought! The staff, specifically the front desk, was exceptional! They were incredibly helpful in every part of our stay... including leading up to our stay. While preparing for our stay, we were in contact with the concierge team to assist in booking tours and dinner reservations. Their team was prompt and thorough in their replies. By the time we arrived there, the staff had already assisted us in securing half of our excursions and dinner reservations. We wanted to do our excursions with a guide, but not a large group, so the hotel was able to secure and excellent private guide for us. The hotel also assisted in reservations at Michelin level restaurants for us. ||The staff as so attentive, I felt like their most VIP guest (which I wasn't, for the record haha). The hotel is super charming and the history of it being a bank prior was pretty cool. There are special touches all around the hotel of historic bank memorabilia, and at the rooftop bar, one of the cocktails on the menu arrives in mini 'safe' with dry ice, so when the safe is opened, a light layer of 'fog' is emitted and your drink is inside. It was an excellent presentation! The rooftop was awesome, for drinks or snacks, or both! The breakfast was also fantastic!||The location was perfect for walking distance to nearly all the touristy things we wanted to do.

This hotel is truly exceptional and especially the staff - from reception to restaurant, room service and cleaning staff they are friendly, professional, flexible and extremely helpful. We stayed as a family but sadly had a medical emergency and the trip turned into something very different. The hotel was a cocoon of safety, comfort and constant reassurance and we cannot recommend it highly enough. My adult daughter indulged in a Turkish massage in the hotel spa and said It was sensational. Stay here - you will love it.

A very good hotel in the perfect location for exploring Istanbul. Very friendly and competent staff. Beautiful, stylish decor in a former 18th-century bank. Note: if you book with breakfast included, only black coffee is provided (no cappuccino, latte, etc.).

Love the Bank Hotel! This is the second time we have stayed here. We love the location. The rooms are so comfortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and amazing bar! The view is unbelievable!

My husband and I arrived to Istanbul and had a long day of traveling. Upon arrival to the bank hotel, the gentleman took our bags and three men greeted us with outstanding hospitality! It was our honeymoon and they upgraded our room. The room was large and the spa and gym was great. When I say hospitality…I mean this place was the nicest and most accommodating place I have ever been too. If I didn’t like something, it was fixed asap! The hotel itself was beautiful inside and out. They were extremely clean and the decor was incredible. We had dinner at their restaurant the first night. I had the medallion tenderloin with asparagus- the waiter was really nice , but the food was not very good. Very plain, and didn’t taste very good. Maybe it was just the difference in culture. My husband had the pasta and that was ok. The waiter was extremely attentive and we had a good experience. The ambiance was wonderful. I would highly recommend this hotel. Best place to stay in Istanbul! Hospitality at its finest!!!

Great staff, nice rooftop bar with a view (with great staff too!!), good breakfasts, very comfortable rooms (with, our taxi driver told us, the best mattresses in hotels in Istanbul), in a truly great location, close to the Galata Tower—what more? oh yes, stylish decoration in the rooms or the open areas, which is both a pleasure for the guests’ eyes and a mark of care, in an building that used to be a bank: in short, very highly recommended!!

I don't know where to begin! The Vault Karakoy is The PERFECT hotel. Staff was professional, helpful and genuinely nice, the hotel itself is gorgeous and walking distance to the Galata tower and Istiklal street which are must places To visit (make sure you drink a coffee at Autentic coffee house). I highly highly recommend it, Look no further and book your hotel, You won't regret it! Listen to their recommendations, they were all spot on. I don't think I've ever been this happy with a hotel!!

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed. It's like a boutique hotel, small and cozy, very professional staff! Rooms are pretty and very comfortable! The best service we got from the concierge, I cant spell their turkish names but they really helped us with our itineraries! Best hotel in turkey! Truly recommend it!!!! You won't be disappointed! :-)

Exceptional service, perfect location, a true gem. The hotel is located within walking distance of just about anywhere we wanted to go in the city. Public transportation is also a five minute walk away. The conversion from a bank to hotel was executed with great attention to detail. The hand painted detail on ceilings in the bedroom, crown moldings and warm decor created a welcoming oasis at the end of a long day. Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel!!
