The House of Houdini

I'm admittedly a magician so I had kern interest, but the other folks in my random group were definitely not, and they all enthusiastically enjoyed. 20 minutes a very cool and fascinating tour, sort of following along with Houdini's life. Cool artifacts used by HH himself or from movies about him. Our tour guide spoke a great English and interacted great with everyone. Afterwards, a very fun magic show on a vintage stage. There are original and magical souvenirs available. I also met the owner David. He is serious, knowledgeable, dedicated, but has a very fun personality. Perfect for a serious or just relaxed experience at this museum.

This is a great experience which starts with a traditional magician show (slick card tricks) then a guided tour which examines / explains Houdini’s life from childhood. There are many interesting artefacts in this private collection. The young female tour guide was excellent ! the whole tour hung together really well, not just a time line of events but you got a sense of why Houdini made the choices he did. I knew next to nothing about Harry Houdini, so as an introduction this was perfectly pitched and engaging. The show + tour are around 45mins. I think it would be interesting for most ages from around 10yrs upward. Highly recommend !

Highly recommend! The tour and magic show take about 45 minutes in total. The tour was informational, and cool to see some actual items Houdini used. The magic show was crazy! You can purchase tickets online, but read the fine print as those tickets are purchased for the following day. You can also purchase tickets in person, and the staff is very friendly! 100% worth the 13€ pp price!

A very valuable idea that kept the memory of Houdini alive. The idea of ​​performing a magic trick at the end of the tour was very interesting and attractive. We bought the ticket without booking on the spot. If you pay in euros, it must be in cash. The limited program lasts fifty minutes. Highly recommended.

Wonderful, we were unsure if we wanted to go or if we had time before we went home. However we are so glad we went it was amazing, the magic show was so good. The whole experience took about 40 minutes. It was very informative and it was a great way to end our trip. You can only pay cash at the desk, if you book in advance you can pay card online. Highly recommend. It worked out about £11 each. Children are welcome.

Above expectations. We booked quite late the evening before so the tickets hadn't come through but they sorted us out at the office. Tours are at set times. Small museum with real locks and magic paraphernalia and some stuff from the film. A good tour guide explaining Houdini's history. And a short magic show, which was basic but good, and in a nice setting.

Fantastic experience! The magic show was fun to watch and the tour from Maddy was brilliant. She was very knowledgeable about the life of Houdini and was lovely to talk to. Thanks for a great time!

Def worth a visit. It’s small…but they have lots of Houdini artifacts, and provide a good peek into history. There’s also a theatre, and a magic show. It was actually really good. And the interior is beautifully done. It’s a great activity to do between activities, if you have something else planned that day, or if you’re looking for a cool spot to hang that doesn’t take up too much time. It’s in an area that’s nice to walk around. We sampled chimney cakes nearby.
