Don't stay here!!! Total rip off! They will charge you for everything ... including the WORST "spa" you have ever seen . Hundreds of dollars a night and they will charge you for a "Heritage Walk" that basically takes you to their other properties. They charge you to see the "museum " inside the hotel. The rooftop food is okay. The breakfast is terrible for the price of this hotel. The Green House restaurant is also terrible. I had to ask for my "pizza" to be cooked 3 times, all the toppings were raw and the cheese was not melted. Nice to visit but not worth staying at all . Customer service is less than budget hotels in India ( I have over 25 years experience). Save your money for a real luxury hotel!!

Overall the hotel was really good. The ground floor restaurant was reasonably priced and the service was excellent. I found the fine dining restaurant to be expensive and service not quite as I would expect. Our room was large and clean. The down side of the room was there was steep steps to enter and there was no windows as it was sunk into the ground. Location was brilliant. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

The staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful in generally. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the restaurant, before you enter the restaurant you are presented with 2 menus options, you must confirm your order pay and then you can go into the restaurant. I am 70 years of age and have traveled all over the world this is the first time I’ve experience this. The management should understand that people need to have information about what’s on the menu. Tourist are not always aware of Gujrat cuisine. Going to a restaurant should be fun, discovering new things, learning to understand another culture this restaurant did not do that for me. SORRY.

A must-visit spot! The restaurant offers an incredible vibe, blending heritage charm with legendary ambiance. The food is exceptional, and the overall experience is unforgettable. Perfectly located, it’s a gem you won’t want to miss!

Brilliant hotel. The layout is interesting with little places to relax every where. The food is great and the staff are very attentive. The museum is very interesting although I think it should be free for guests. The rooms are huge and very colonial.

I am compelled to express my heartfelt gratitude and admiration for the exceptional service provided by Mr. Ishwar Desai, Security Officer, and Mr. Santosh Singh, F&B Manager, at Agashiye - The House of MG.||During my recent visit, I inadvertently left my diamond ring in the washroom of the banquet hall. To my astonishment, the ring was found by a guest who, with impeccable integrity, handed it over to the lost and found staff. The staff, in turn, ensured its safe return to me.||Mr. Desai and Mr. Singh demonstrated remarkable sincerity, professionalism, and work ethics in handling this situation. Their dedication to their roles and commitment to customer satisfaction is truly commendable.||The guest who found the ring and returned it anonymously has rekindled my trust in humanity. Her selfless act is a shining example of honesty and integrity.||Agashiye - The House of MG is fortunate to have employees like Mr. Desai and Mr. Singh, who consistently deliver exceptional service and uphold the highest standards of ethics. I highly recommend this establishment for its outstanding hospitality and commitment to customer satisfaction.||Thank you once again, Mr. Desai, Mr. Singh, and the anonymous guest, for an unforgettable experience!"

Everything was great and my only disappointment was that the room was in a dark corridor with windows into that corridor. We had no light or windows to allow light in. The room itself was well appointed and very large. The staff were amazing and if we were staying longer I would  have requested a different room.

We ate at the Agashiye restaurant- I had booked online but when I went in to check my booking there was no record. I wished to book for 8.00pm but was told to come at 7.30pm. Later I received a call to confirm my booking for 8.00pm?????? It is strange that my booking was not on their books. The cashier was rude. Surely it should be a warm welcome to a guest. The thali itself was very mediocre - I have had far better. The open fires were blowing sparks very close to us. Barely 1hour after we arrived (we had finished) we were asked to vacate our table. At no time were we given to understand that there was a time limit on the table. The staff were pretty rude as well. This is no way to treat visiting travellers.
