...not a hotel; private dormitory for use by the Vatican and the Holy See for official visitors to the Vatican; was requested by Pope John Paul II to alleviate the temporary accommodations built for Conclave, which were inconvient and uncomfortable for older Cardinals. The ONLY way you can stay here is by invitation. Been here, done that.
