The House of Saint Martha

I loved my stay here. The room was clean and the staff was so helpful. I didn't have an adaptor to charge my phone and laptop. The plug pins were totally different from what we have back in home but the staff came to the rescue, they provided me an adaptor and the problem was solved. The internet was fast. The breakfast was good and they asked me for lunch and dinner every morning. The location was perfect with a view of Saint Peter's Basilica in the front!

Very quiet environment. The Receptionists are welcoming and very helpful in giving directions to help one navigate the area.

The House of Saint Martha is adjacent to St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. Completed in 1996, during the pontificate of Pope John Paul II, it is named after Martha of Bethany, who was a sibling to Mary and Lazarus of Bethany. The building functions as a guest house for clergy having business with the Holy See and as the temporary residence of members of the College of Cardinals while participating in a papal conclave to elect a new pope, but became also the house of Pope Francis since he became Pope.
